As an eighteen-year-old girl, I wish people would stop with that, too. Hell, even if I was a seventy-six-year-old man, I still wouldn't like it.

It’s not even by age. I remember I wore a My Chemical Romance shirt to school and this close minded asshat says stuff like “oh no your gonna shoot up the school” and “haha that shit is emo. Listen to good music”. Like shut your fucking mouth. Just because I like MCR, Panic! or any other “emo” band does not make me “emo”. It just makes me a fan. Ugh

I don't know how, but somehow, I think he made this work. Maybe it's because the instrumentals were so good, or perhaps it's because they were just very unique/easily recognisable, or it could be both, but I quite liked them. At the very least, they stood out.

As for this, I see this kinda thing quite a lot and I really think the stigma directed towards Meji because of their fandom is entirely undeserved. Just because people you don't like happen to be into sth, that doesn't mean you have to hate that thing just to spite them and it really rubs me the wrong way when I see this. I would hate to be the creator of a passion project I poured my heart and soul into only to see it boycotted purely because I happened to have a few dickheads following me.

Sorry if this comes off as shitting on your post, @suji >.< I didn't mean it like that. I love ya really.

Anyways @YuyoDrift what do you think about all this

Yeah,  I hate people who shit on fandoms and just stereotype them. Things like “The entire fanbase of this band is just a bunch of teenage girls” piss me off. A lot of the bands “for teen girls” that I listen to are full of male fans.

I think that it’s just stupid to generalize a fanbase

  4. Does anyone get made fun of for liking Japanese music?

I do all the time. My friends tease me and call me a "weeb" or "emo" every fucking day so there's that.

Granted I'm the only one at my school who knows what visual kei is and the only Asian thing people listen to is KPOP *shudders*

  5. I’ll be honest and say that I have never listened to a Mejibray song but everyone here just shits on them. Why is that?

I have no opinion on this matter so I can’t speak for myself.

EDIT: Please don’t shit on anyone who enjoys Mejibray. I understand that they’re not everyone’s cup of tea and I can tell that they’re the extremely hated here, but please respect the people who like them. Music is subjective after all.

Ayy, that's the one! I think Yuki's sounds interesting... that, and he's probably my favourite member if I had to choose one because he's the funniest X) anyways, idk what BPT stands for, but I like to think it means "Beautiful Prince Teru".

They actually sell the perfumes on CDJapan. I found Hizaki's:

    VULGAR LP

"Hey guys so remember the time we sold our album Gauze on vinyl but it was limited to 100 copies?"

    "Yeah, why?"

"Well we're just about to release our new album so let's do the same thing, but get this, let's only limit it to 10 copies"

"Great idea management! I'm sure we would love to give out ten LPs to people who will definitely sell them for a ludicrous price which will end up being scratched and then fuck over everyone else by not releasing all our albums on vinyl for the near future and the albums that are on vinyl now are too expensive"

Diru please re-release every album on vinyl plz. Kaoru senpai plz I want WTD on vinyl plez

Idk if I'm making this up, but I seem to recall the members of Versailles (back when Jasmine was still with us) releasing a perfume each to promote an album or sth. If my memory hasn't failed me and that really did happen, I'd love to have one.

Nope! Just looked it up. It did exist and they probably smelt wonderful

  10. I would KILLLL to have Dir En Grey's Gauze on vinyl. The ones that do exist are extremely rare as only 100 of them were made. I remember it being on sale for like 50,000 yen just recently and sadly it was sold out last time I checked.

As for other rare items, Dir En Grey had this shirt from 1999 during the Gauze era and I love the design. Would love to have them remake it for the albums 20th anniversary this year.

Oh, and I would love to have a La Sadies demo tape

I love it! It's the first DEG album I ever purchased and I think it's a really interesting follow-up to GAUZE. GAUZE is a fairly straightforward album that's chock full of classics and they could have repeated that formula, but instead put out something that I feel "pushed the envelope" a bit at the time. Hardly experimental, but very tonally different and I think a more defining album when put in the context of the band they became.

I remember listening to Macabre right after Gauze when I first started listening to Diru and I was really just confused. Like I didn't like it but it wasn't bad either. It was my least fav album for a while until I listened to it to it again and now I consider it Dir En Grey's most unappreciated works. The Marrow Of A Bone is now my least fav album XD

I feel like my answer to this is quite consistently changing, but my "constants" are probably...

deadman - in the direction of sunrise and night light

    Dir en grey - MACABRE

    Plastic Tree - toroimerai

    MALICE MIZER - merveilles

    PIERROT - HEAVEN ~the customized landscape~

I kind of confined myself to everything I consider to be a "classic" as delving into newer stuff might shake up my list a bit. All of these probably swap places with other albums in their respective discographies, too.

Funny that you say Macabre is your fav. It’s literally hated by many DEG fans, but I love Macabre so yeah XD

    4. Golden Bomber - Golden Album

    5. Ensoku - 5 jigen yori no shisha (F-ban)

    i think.....🤔🤔
