    Yeah, I believe so.

*This comment is entirely based off credits for mixing that I saw on discogs, just fyi.

It would've been interesting to see more people remaster the tracks originally done by Tue Madsen since he was such an influence on the band's sound from DSS - Arche. Specifically, I'd be really curious to see what a Japanese sound engineer would do as I feel like there's a stark contrast in the way the songs are mixed on this collection and it seems to be divided by regional preferences (and by regional I just mean that there seems to be a different sound profile preferred by engineers from different countries). For example, it sounds like the Japanese engineers like cutting out the lows more so that the songs sound cleaner, but perhaps a bit on the sterile side for some songs. Western engineers sound like they like keeping the lows more for a bit of a dirtier sound which in turn makes some tracks a bit muddled sounding. Try taking a listen between Filth and Sustain the Untruth and I think what I'm saying might make sense (the prior being re-mixed by a Japanese engineer and the latter by another Western engineer that's not Madsen).

Now, you might say it's probably just because Filth was originally from 2001 and STU was from 2014, but if you take a listen to the Cage remaster (1999) I feel like the low ends on this mix are boosted way more than the original. And wouldn't you know, Western engineer. Just my observations, but I really wish Dir en grey would go back to using Japanese sound engineers because, overall, I prefer the way they mix the band's music. No hate against Western sound engineers at all as there are plenty that I love, but for whatever reason the ones that end up working with the band just seem to do a less than stellar job.

I'm also with everyone else with the last question.  Maybe you could have mixed some more mainstream or other types of vk acts from that period into the selection pool or include a wider generation range of artists by including some earlier era vk acts and/or some recent vk acts.

Apparently the same people who are quick to shame a man who has just died are the same people who are quick to judge someone they have never met over a single comment on the internet.

In no way do I condone pedophilia or any form of harrassment. I think it's a hateful crime and show of disrespect another human being. In fact, my own (ex-)girlfriend was molested in Japan and despite going to the police about it it was just one person's word against another so nothing came of it. That was one of the most trying times in my life so far, feeling so powerless to do anything about the situation.

The nature of my comment was just to say, let's respect that regardless of who a person was there must be numerous people, be it family, friends or coworkers, who are saddened by that news. As far as I'm concerned, it's a shame when anyone dies because that loss ripples through so many others' lives.

And I also think it's possible to respect someone's professional success while divorcing that respect from your disgust towards anything that happened in their private lives. If a popular actor is embroiled in a rape or adultery scandal, that doesn't make them any less of a great actor, it just makes them a shitty human being.

okay, i know these are two different situations in two completely different countries, but like...this kinda thing is why brock turner only got 6 months.

anyone who would do smth like that to a child doesn’t deserve any respect, regardless of what good things they’ve done.  and you can say that it was never actually confirmed and all, but you gotta consider...if multiple people come forward and they’re all saying the same kinda thing, it’s p doubtful it’s not true.  and yeah, sure, in a situation like that, maybe someone did fabricate some shit.  but everyone?  that seems unlikely.

you are coming from a perspective of someone in a healthy mental state, with no history of drug abuse (often encouraged by the abusers) and sexual assault overlapping with a place (in this case - entertainment industry where everyone knows everyone) trapping you indefinitely in the hands of abuser,

and if you look up any public appearance by, say, Rose McGowan, you'll probably see the difference between two of you pretty clearly.

I'm not sure where your own desire to give sexual predators their valued privacy comes from whereas I've never had a chance to see your opinion on idk everything else, from James Charles-gate (most recent) to endless examples of revenge porn cases - often involving the aforementioned later cancelled faves; what is the idea behind giving people who can already afford to corner someone and slip their dick in to feel even safer knowing that even the internet social/equality warriors will never know the tea?
it actually is helping quite a lot of people who rub in the same circles, and gossip becomes a tool of warning that so and so is very good at their game and should be avoided; I think your concept of maturity implies some sort of saving face, while not demanding keeping legs crossed and managing the dick/power tripping urges in the first place.

Personally, I disagree. They're citizens too, and telling them to shut up just because they're famous sounds kind of ignorant to me. If people want to listen to them and do what they say (or not), they're welcome to, but their opinions are their own and everyone has a right to free speech. I'm really not big on censorship and tbh, I don't care how much I disagree with someone; I would never, ever want them to not have a voice. Yeah, okay, some of the stuff they say is a bit dumb, but if you don't like it, don't pay attention to it. Besides, fame is kind of subjective. They might be famous in one country/culture/whatever but not another, so where do they reach the point where they're famous enough to have to keep their opinions to themselves? That, and you're never gonna shut someone up provided their opinions are strong enough, so it seems kind of pointless and controlling to me. I mean, if there was a law in place saying celebrities couldn't state their opinions on a particular subject, there'd be an uproar, and rightfully so. Provided it's not infringing upon anyone else's human rights, I believe everyone should have the right to say what they feel. Maybe it'd be easier for some if they didn't, but that's an ideal we can't pretend will ever exist.

What really pisses me off is when people drop someone for something that hasn't even been proven. "So-and-so might have committed this crime". Might. You are not a detective investigator; shut up and carry on with your life as normal until you know something or can at least piece something together with evidence. Similarly, it bugs me when someone doing something maybe a bit unusual/embarrassing is seen as bad because people want the "tea" that can unjustly defame someone. "So-and-so had sex with x amount of people". It's their business, not yours, so stay out of it and - you guessed it - carry on with your life as normal. I can understand why people might have a hard time separating the art from the artist if they've done something genuinely bad because it can make you feel guilty for supporting them, but if it's for some stupid shite like that, I just can't stand it and I don't really get why everyone cares so much.

SakuraFox512 reacted to God in Does KISAKI Is Gay?
I saw kisaki at a grade school in Los Angeles yesterday. I told him how bad it was to meet him in person, and that he should probably leave or i’m gonna call the cops. He said, “Oh, like you’re doing now?” I was taken aback, and all I could say was “yes, hello, police?  i would like to report a strange pedo at a grade school,” but he kept cutting me off and going “huh? huh? huh?” and closing his hand shut in front of my face. I walked away and continued with my 911 call, and I heard him chuckle as I walked off. When the cops came to arrest him for being a child diddler, I saw him trying to walk away with like fifteen 2nd graders following behind him.
The cop that came out was very professional, and was like “Sir, you’re going to prison.” At first he kept pretending to be tired and not hear her, but eventually turned back around and brought them to the school.
When the cop was handcuffing him, he radioed for backup to come take the kids back to class.  kisaki stopped him and told her to take them each individually “to prevent any pedo infetterence,” and then turned around and winked at me. I don’t even think that’s a word. After he was cuffed, the cop started to read him his rights, but he kept interrupting him by yawning really loudly.

Nevermind that, it's sad to see you go this quickly. Thank you for reviving discussion on MH with your threads, especially since you're a newbie who has lots of questions and there's nothing wrong with that. There hasn't been a lot of discussion on certain subjects before you came and posted about them, so I commend you for that; it really helps other newbies navigate this weird world of visual kei through a newbie's standpoint, followed along by replies of longtime fans with years of experience (which largely makes up the majority of this forum)

However, you must also realize that this is an open forum, where anybody is free to dish out their opinion, whether it be good or bad. You don't have to agree with it, but you have to deal with it; that is reality. I know you're young and you stand by your opinions, but I used to be like you, blowing up when someone said something negative about someone or something I care about, and it escalated to the point where I suffered consequences and basically had to grow up and redeem myself. That's basically how it is in the real world; sometimes you can't convince people that you're always right, and they stand by their own ideals no matter what. What's most important however is at the end of the day, their way of thinking shouldn't matter to you. You live your life by your own principles and your own beliefs, and you alone are in charge of that, not anyone else. All I'm saying is, don't let these people get in your head, and you'll be ok.

Hope to see you again soon!

@Manji 卍 Technically, the foetus doesn't have any form of sentience until about the third trimester (maybe a bit before). I think the lesser of two evils in that situation would be to abort, because it's more fair to let the woman live a happy life than to force her to give birth to a baby she doesn't even want. That's physically and emotionally traumatising. If she does the latter, she could end up severely depressed and the baby most likely wouldn't have a great life anyways. Also, just giving it to an adoption centre leads to overcrowding and kids who were already there not getting adopted, so nobody really wins in that situation.

@secret_no_03   GZUS,i'm not saying that the murderers were feminists declared,nor @Euronymous said so.
we pointed that all these things are, indeed, related to each other.

@Gesu  i was always pro abortion.but after multiple researchers and videos about the subject i changed my opinion.
abortion is murder.your body is yours, but from the moment that there's another living creature inside of your,it's no longer your decision whether
the kid has to live or not.The fetus/kid is depending on you,but it's not you,you don't  have the right.
Even at the most horrible cases like raping, the mother must bear with it for the sake of the baby, and if she wants to,give it to the adoption when it's born.

It does apply in a biological standpoint. Men are engineered to be genetically superior to women, and that's a scientific fact. That's something that can't be altered, yet we can make a change when it comes to treating each other as equals.

Feminism is necessary and it is a good movement. In most Western countries women have achieved what feminism is set out to do, I mean there are some wrinkles still that need or be ironed out but I'd say we lead pretty great lives and there are those (a small percentage) who are now looking to fill the void of no longer suffering under the patriarchy, so they go on the news to say that offices are usually cold because men tend to be in charge of the air con, making women, who usually wear lighter clothing, suffer. Therefore patriarchy is still in effect in their eyes. These people would be much better off seeing what ways they can be of use to other women who genuinely need help, perhaps listening to  women who live in countries where they can't even leave the house by themselves, or those who suffer female genital mutilation, volunteering at charities that support those who have been domestically abused and so on. Those women do need feminism. I believe feminism in Japan is necessary, but like I mentioned in another topic, only Japanese people know which is the best way to approach it for them.

Regarding the rise in domestic violence against men, I don't think it's a direct by product of women getting cocky cuz giRl pOwER. Men are ridiculed (by other men above all) if they try to seek help coz their partner is a psycho. It is much more common than anyone imagines. I come from a country where having a girlfriend that beats you up and controls your life is desirable because it means she cares about you and because "that's just girlfriends/wives do! The old ball and chain haha". I have seen a lot of men suffer quietly because they believe this is how things are supposed to be.

If more cases are being reported that's good, because they sure as hell have been happening all along. It is surprising though that this is rising in Japan, although with the whole "herbivore man" phenomenon, maybe not so surprising. Considering that Japan is already a society where feelings and problems are hidden away by default, imagine being a man with all the added baggage that comes with "masculinity".

Also, men can't expect women to do all the work regarding feminism. This movement is supposed to benefit all parties. They need to do their part also in dismantling unhealthy stereotypes which do more harm than good when it comes to divorce, custody and reporting abuse. Support each other, discuss your emotions, etc. The ones who create such toxic, harmful standards for men are... Men after all! The reason there are SO many resources for female abuse survivors is because women fought and worked their hardest to make these places available, no one would've done it otherwise. Men should work just as hard to make sure that these institutions and resources are there for themselves too.

  19. Thanks
SakuraFox512 reacted to hyura in A Rapid Increase in Domestic Violence Against Men in Japan
I mean "patriarchy" is the reason why the assumption that women can't hurt men and can't be held accountable because they are weak (and so are men who are hurt by women) exists in the first place. So in theory, taking that down and removing these harmful stereotypes first would indeed lead to men victims reporting DV more and women attackers not getting away with it as easily. As @spockitty said, while there may be people calling themselves feminist who work against this goal, the movement as a whole is supposed to reach it.
