  1. Yeah, I am dissapointed with this documentary.

I actually read Yoshiki's biography (released in 2009), and, oh boy, was it interesting. How much he trained, situations when he was hospitilized and had around 5% of fat due to his constant training, the way they refused Sony in the beginning and so many other stories, the way they performed, drank and were touring in Japan - that was powerful, that was interesting to read.

This documentary - meh. There was NOTHING epic. It was absolutely plain.

fake news...stop diverting from the truth.

yoshiki emailed people of this forum to share his special artwork and promotional materials to best meet the needs of foreign market.

    Hell yeah.

People were wondering where's PR of the album?
    Here it is.

    I mean, social marketing 2.0, c'mon, guys.

I posted a pic of ice cream preforming in the thread, but I'm sure you've seen it xD. The same blog had some of the other proto-bands. I wonder if any songs from Yukiline can be found.

The lastfm page for Rose Valley has a song, but it's a different song from a different band: An American country band xD.

IDK. I've never heard of them.

妖精帝國 are quite famous, too, I believe. Especially according to the number of view on YT.

He also used to play in Raddock, formerly known as XI -Sai-. Their guitarist, Yuki, is now in Unlucky Morpheus and Icarus' Cry (The latter of which has Shinjou Kasumi as vocalist, the guy who used to own the record label Memento Mori, Reload (Grieva) and Raddock/XI -Sai-.)

Doesn't Yuki also play for 妖精帝國?

Unfortunately, I couldn't find anything about his first band, which is Lunatic Park.
    And nothing about icecream either.

I found a lastfm page for Rose Valley, though, and it features quite a line-up - a guy from Decay, Lunaria and etc.

    Didn't know about Kasumi.

I think bands should always follow their own path and do music that they like best. Otherwise the end results will turn out soulless and fans don't like the songs even if they resemble their preferred era of songwriting.

Having said that, of course as a fan or whatever, I can voice my opinion about their music too and decide whether I want to follow them or not. The thing is, I feel like DDRM is losing their edge and the defining aspect that kept me interested in them. With every new release they sound more and more like one of those one-in-dozen VK bands that pops up every day. And to make matters worse, I don't think DDRM's songwriting shines brightest with lighter songs. I think there are more catchy and interesting rock bands around that do lighter material.

I'm not alone with these thoughts so that's why the situation is troublesome. I don't think anyone is ditching the ship quite yet, but it's obvious people aren't as excited with their latest releases. Maybe DDRM's direction brings new fans? who knows, all the more power to those who like this stuff.

    I totally feel you, bro.

Im my small circle I was the biggest advocate for DDRM when they started. They had amazing vibes, and the way they mixed jazz elements into their B-sides - oh, that was sooo good. Even with Riley Circus, that I am not the biggest fan of, they experimented a lot, which kept me interested in them. But Dadaism #3 and some ballad songs (Kurt, if I am not mistaken) - this is where they lost their edge for me.

I kinda get the idea that they want to experiment with the direction that they go in, but it was an absolutely mediocre release for a band that experimented so much early on. Their wasn't a single song that had any unexpected elements and motives in it. Yes, it was a cool mini for some new band that didn't have any features that actually defined their previous releases, but not for DDRM. And it's not my expectations, but rather the standard that they set for themselves.

To a degree, I am genuinely interested in their new release (alas that the preview didn't give me any vibes). So we will see.

Interpret this for me. What isn't coming next year? I am so confused.

I can't believe it's also taken me this long to ask this question, but what does Yoshiki's hospitalization have to do with the physical pressing and release of the album? Where did the idea that it would be delayed again come from? The recording should already be done. The accompanying tour can always be delayed. It probably should, considering how a strong breeze could put Yoshiki out of commission at this point. If they haven't announced anything by now, it should still be coming out....but then where are the previews or album cover or even a track list?

Well, I would say that most of people on MH know about how much of a drama-queen Yoshiki is. Album has been delayed numerous times. Many things by X were delayed by Yoshiki numeroues times. Hell, his CD with new X's music got "STOLEN" two-three years ago, if I am not mistaken.

So, there's a possibility, that no music has been recorded seeing as there's no preview (and Yoshiki would have capitalized the hell out of the CD), so this accident is a perfect excuse for not releasing a CD (which might not even exist).

    he's a session drummer for wing works and some godawful electro-vk band as a full-time member;

    they're embarrassing

kinda almost fear and loathing levels bad

I think you are talking about ex-Unsraw's Sho (and he's a support membmer of DAVID, too).

Here we are talking about D.I.D.'s bassist Sho

I just remembered 12012 are on hiatus. Wtf are those clowns doing now?

Wataru is a producer of a non-vk band
Enya - more, and another band with a Nightmare vocalist

The guitarist with a beard - he plays as a support gt for several bands, I believe, plus I think he plays in another band, too

The guitarist w/o a beard - Last Mind Infinity

  10. It was about time.
I am not a big fan of them, used to be until 2013-2014 when they changed so many things.  But they are fucking huge for the scene, so it kinda sucks that they go on hiatus. I hope that they will come back.
