Lereku 717 Posted May 31, 2017 Btwn the theme of the album would be love. RYUICHI explained "that several forms of love would be explored, from tender love to the sadist.", I hope the tender love song will not sound like "I for You" their worst ballad song 1 smilesxchibi reacted to this

Kiyoharu is God 283 Posted May 31, 2017 They're great. Could have sworn the album was announced last year or before, but whatever. Love when reunited bands don't rest on their laurels and release new music. 1 Takadanobabaalien reacted to this

Love when reunited bands don't rest on their laurels and release new music. It was announced last year but they were quite about it for some reason. Anyway, the setlist was cool af. Hurt, No pain, and Image are some cool surprises. Also hoping for a re-recording of IMAGE but I don't think it'll happen... Looking forward to the album eitherway. Only single I've been disappointed by so far is Ran, and their latest stuff (Limit/I'll stay with you) is some of the best songs they've released post-revival (especially I'll stay with you). 1 Kiyoharu is God reacted to this
Pretsy 1343 Posted June 5, 2017 Let's see how's it going for each LS member at the moment: J is even more boring, poor man's Dave Grohl as of lately - he cannot pen anything decent ever since he fired that Franz guy Inoran is still the same so his songs won't do much except for succeeding to bring you dem lukewarm feelings Sugizo is gonna do more violin-gull stuff w/ his Juno reactor-influenced mumbojumbos Ryuichi is the schmaltzmaster (good/bad? Be the judge) Shinya is just N/A Yup, no big hopes tbh. 1 jon_jonz reacted to this
Takadanobabaalien 3607 Posted June 5, 2017 their solo careers have always been different from luna sea though, so I don't see how one could draw a conclusion on the new album based on what the members are doing on their own? they still produced lunacy when J was doing his weird punk-ish stuff, inoran doing his alternative-rock thingy, and ryuichi became a popidol for grandmoms. but yes, you shouldn't expect a new "mother" or "style" that's for sure. 2 niivozombie and Kiyoharu is God reacted to this

We cannot argue that Lunacy had that obvious "heavily westernized" (compare: STYLE) direction which was more or less based on what J was cooking by then. A VISION, TONIGHT, CRAZY ABOUT YOU (take Ryuichi out and you have slightly post-grungey track), even Sweetest Coma Again were the prime examples and perhaps at this point good calls to why I *care* about their solo careers and their contextual relation to the band catalogue. Believe me, their individual ordeals matter - as much as it was given for any other stadium rock act and separate solo careers, LS isn't any different in regards to songwriting antics. Takadanobabaalien 3607 Posted October 5, 2017 (edited) Awesome! that set list is great btw. They should mix it up like this more often and not just play the same old songs. I hope I'll stay with you is on the album as well. One of their best post revival songs so far. Edit: Shinya seem to have lost a lot of weight btw Edited October 5, 2017 by Takadanobabaalien
