Presenting RarezHut: The first(?) international used VK store!

Recommended Posts

So we've finally joined the 21st century and started a facebook and tumblr! You can follow us on either(or both if you really love us <3) for product spotlights, updates, corgi pictures and more! To celebrate this, we're running a special 10% off sale from now(3/13) until next week Friday(3/20). To get in on this sale, just enter the code SOCIALSALE10 at checkout and you'll be on your way to (even) cheaper rarez in no time!

In addition, I'd like to welcome Rob(robkun) to the RarezHut team! He's been a huge supporter of our store since the very beginning and we're honored to have him as part of the staff! He'll be writing the product spotlights on both our facebook and tumblr pages, so definitely go check them out because they're really awesome :3

We've got some other cool stuff coming up around the end of the month, so more details will be coming on that once plans are hashed out.

You asked for it, you got it! RarezHut tapesplosion time!

The newest update just went live on the site and this time we've got over 100 items this time around! There's a whole bucket-full of demotapes as well as some new(well, 2014 new) CDs in this update :3 So go check out what's new in the usual spots: the newsletter and the Newly Added Items page.

There's been some more updates on our upcoming event, so I'll just copy the relevant part of the newsletter regarding that here:

In other news, we're getting closer to solidifying the fine details on RarezHut's first special event and wanted to give a little insight as to what's in store. Near the end of this month(exact date TBA), RarezHut will be having it's very first live-streamed unboxing! This was something that was requested by many of our customers and we couldn't think of a better time to do it than now as we currently have nearly 600 new items for the store just waiting to be shipped over from Japan. Our plan was to allow those in the stream's chat to get first dibs on the items and name a price as items are unpacked. Further details such as the exact time and date will be announced via the newsletter, facebook and tumblr when they have been decided upon. We would like to aim for a tenative date of Sunday March 29th, but in order to pay for the priority shipping to get it here in time, we'll need plenty of orders! Remember than you can combine shipping for orders placed now along with any items purchased during the event by using the "Hold" shipping option at checkout.

As has been mentioned a few times this week, RarezHut will be hosting it's very first livestream this weekend! It has been requested multiple times by our customers that we do unboxing videos, so we decided that, as we have nearly 600 items arriving tomorrow, we'd share the experience with all of you!

Due to the amount of items, we're expecting that the stream might need to be spread over two days. The stream will go live at http://www.hitbox.tv/RarezHut at 12 PM MST(6 PM/18:00 GMT) on Saturday, March 28th for 5 hours. If it looks like it's going to run longer than that, then we'll stream again on Sunday March 29th at the same starting time and go until we're done. You can figure out what time the stream will be for you over at http://www.timeanddate.com/worldclock/converter.html

During the stream, we'll allow people in the chat to buy items straight out of the box if they like. Valerie(Valicious) will be in the chat and assisting with marking down sales. There will be a starting price displayed on the stream for each item and if multiple people want the item then it'll go auction-style and they can bid up until someone caves and loses out on the rarez.

Woah ^^

The shipping costs must have been a fortune ;)

Not nearly as bad as you'd expect. Still bad, yeah, but it was rather reasonable with FedEx at least on a per-CD basis(I think it worked out to like $0.50 per CD to ship.

We we will go live again today at 12PM MST/2PM EST/18:00 GMT. There is a lot left. The CDs in the photo below are two rows deep, so a total of a little over ten rows. We will stream until we are done, which will probably be about 7 hours. Join us here: www.hitbox.tv/RarezHut

Some of the highlights from last time were an extremely limited Closet Child Harujuku sampler CD (sold for $7), a large and detailed Perriot book and photoset (sold for $5), and much much more. Who knows what treasures we will uncover today?

I wished you guys would do now kinda 4 hours. and then tomorrow again 4 hours. (>_<)//

Also maybe for next time,

maybe a list what will be up in the auction.

Because it would be nice to know which CD's will be sold.

Even for those but auction houses everything also stands online and able to see before the actually auction will start.
