I was at a cosplay panel at my local anime convention last month and one of the people there suggested that all guys cosplaying as superheroes should wear a dance belt to hide their junk, since there are lots of kids around the con and apparently it can get awkward when you're standing on the bus with someone eye level with your crotch. I'm not sure how comfortable or uncomfortable they are, but that could be an option on days when it's really bothering you.

I've always wondered that myself, tbh. I googled it, and apparently it doesn't mean anything, they just picked words they thought sounded good together. The guitarist said "morl" comes from the rugby term "maul" (モール), but with the spelling altered, although that could be a lie. There are fan comments on the post asking what the whole name means, so I guess they've never really explained it.

Back on my "people trapped in a room solving mysteries/fighting to the death" thriller craving, so I watched "House of 9". (2005) Kind of boring, tbh. Wasn't expecting it to be so British or for Peter Capaldi to be in it, but otherwise it was pretty middle of the road.
Also watched "The Killing Room" (2009), which was slightly better but still didn't stand out much. Was super excited when I saw Clea DuVall was in it, since I've had an awkward crush on her since "But I'm a Cheerleader", but her role is so tiny that it just left me even more disappointed.

I'll warn you that my Japanese is really bad - I do translations mainly to learn new vocab. I only really started posting them online because I wanted to gauge how I'm doing. I figure it's more productive than just keeping them to myself since someone who actually speaks Japanese might tell me what I'm doing wrong if they see me butchering songs by their favourite artist.

LEGO BIG MORL's guitarist Hiroki Tanaka had an accident that put one of his hands out of commission for about a year, and the rest of the members stopped playing live until he was able to return. This is one of the first songs they released after coming back, and it's pretty obvious from the video that it's about him. I think it was pretty cool of them to do that.
I feel like I'm probably a little off on some of these lines, but the gist of it is there.

It's been a long time since I last saw it, but Laundry (2001) left a strong impression on me. It's a kind of subdued love story about a young man with brain damage that helps run a laundromat and a mysterious girl he meets. I can't even remember much of the plot, tbh, but something about the overall vibe of it still stands out in my mind.
Plus I'm a big Yosuke Kubozuka fan.

I watched Circle yesterday. It's about 50 strangers getting abducted and forced to vote for one person to die until there's only one survivor. At the end, the only way for a person to survive is for the other to abstain from voting, otherwise they tie and they're both killed. Interesting concept, and it was fun to watch but it starts to lose steam after a while since there are so many characters to get through and it becomes pretty obvious who is important and who isn't towards the middle. Plus the characters can't move from the circles they're standing on, so it's like 99% dialogue.

Every now and then I get a craving for ridiculous horror movies about people competing with each other to solve a mystery/fighting to the death, so I watched Would You Rather and Exam. Would You Rather was exactly what I expected it to be. It's pretty obvious who is going to survive at each stage. Basically the only surprise was that the actor that played Victor on Dollhouse was in it.
Exam was a nice surprise since there wasn't a lot of violence or gore (I don't have much of a stomach for that stuff, so I had to look away a lot during Would You Rather) and the situation was actually about finding someone who could do good, not pushing people to become their worst. Not a great ending, but it was nice to see a movie in this style where the people can actually just walk out of the room at any time and where people getting mutilated more and more elaborately isn't the main takeaway.

This is a little sketchy, so don't take my word for it if something sounds wrong, but I really wanted to try to do an EVERLONG track in English. There's something really sweet - almost childish - about the tone of Mitsuhiro's lyrics.
