Takuro from GLAY and Sakurai Kazutoshi from Mr.Children are definitely two of the biggest ones for me.
Takuro:
Hitohira no jiyuu - http://utau-inu.com/centj/translations/hitohiranojiyuu_glay.htm
Minamigochi - http://utau-inu.com/centj/translations/minamigochi_glay.htm
Fighting Spirit - http://utau-inu.com/centj/translations/fightingspirit_glay.htm
Sakurai:
Tenohira - http://utau-inu.com/centj/translations/tenohira_mrchildren.htm
Surrender - http://utau-inu.com/centj/translations/surrender_mrchildren.htm
Ame nochi hare - http://utau-inu.com/centj/translations/amenochihare_mrchildren.htm
^None of those translations are mine, btw. The links go straight to the translator's website.
I think Chiba Yusuke (Thee Michelle Gun Elephant/ROSSO/The Birthday)'s mix of manly directness and weird, sometimes almost random imagery is glorious as well. I have no idea what he's talking about most of the time, but whenever I try to translate one of his songs the images always stand out really clearly in my mind - like he's gluing scenes from old movies I vaguely remember watching together.
Here's my sketchy translation of ROSSO's "Hitogoroshi"
"The two of us are lovers
I don’t know her name
I said “Let’s leave this city at dawn, on the first train”
The morning sun shone in from the window, lighting the two of us
There were cookie crumbs in the coat we were wrapped up in
It’s too green, that meadow we’d planned to go to
But, because this train wouldn’t make it there
At that time, I didn’t know
The policemen are everywhere
The two of us are lovers
I don’t know her name"
--
Here are some pieces of my attempt at The Birthday's "GILDA":
"Happy birthday, dear Gilda
A bat or ice cream;
Which should I choose
To give as a present?
Happy birthday, dear Gilda
Wear your casket
And we’ll go to pick blueberries
For a bottled jam
Dear Gilda, I love you
Yesterday a pink rain fell,
And we laughed
Open your eyes! Open your eyes! Open your eyes!
...
At dawn, on the rings of Saturn,
Should we have an indy race?
Happy birthday, dear Gilda
The warm time has come,
So shall we bury our precious treasures in the field?
Dear Gilda, I love you
There was no wind,
So you could hear the little bird’s chatter
Dear Gilda"

I've got this on my computer now thanks to you. XD Even though I've never watched five minutes of the show, this sounds more than worthwhile.
It's 100% worth it. Two of my friends downloaded it after I told them about it and they both played it all the way to the end they liked it so much.
Granted, one of them was a hardcore Sailor Moon fan.

This is an old one that I cleaned up a bit today. I miss EIG's voice.

サヨナラ / Goodbye
Lyrics: 43K, EIG
Music: HAYATO, SHIMADA, kazu-o
(43K)
It can’t be goodbye*
You were everything to me
If my wish were to come true,
I’d want to feel you sleeping beside me**
Goodbye
(43K)
Leaning against your shoulder, I fall asleep
When I wake up, you’ve left the room
(EIG)
Now that I can’t hear that kind voice saying “I’m home” and “Goodnight”
The one-room entranceway and this single bed can both feel so wide
Every night I hold my cellphone tightly, waiting for a call from you
Well, in our pictures, even now, we can still smile
It can’t be goodbye
You were everything to me
If my wish were to come true,
I’d want to feel you sleeping beside me
Goodbye
(43K)
Holding hands, we walked in Enoshima
Your footprints alone vanished in the waves
(EIG)
Ah, that day on the beach we ran around in circles, laughing like children
Standing together with my arm on your shoulder, we bathed in the sun
We competed, showing off our tans
I truly loved you
And I wanted to tell you once more
But this voice can’t reach
And we can’t go back to that day
It can’t be goodbye
You were everything to me
If my wish were to come true,
I’d want to feel you sleeping beside me
Goodbye
(43K)
Leaving behind just my memories, you discreetly slip away
I yearn for you (Your cigarettes and dirty shirts too)
I yearn for you (And your long, thin fingers too)
Still, I search for you
How many seasons will need to pass before I can make my heart reset?
You’re dear to me (Your slightly cracked voice too)
You’re dear to me (Your soft lips too)
I just want to see you
I want to see you...
It can’t be goodbye
You were everything to me
If I close my eyes, you're still laughing
I won’t forget the days I spent loving you
If I was reborn, I wonder if I would love you again…
Notes:
*Or maybe something like "I can't say goodbye"?
**Not sure about this

The Sailor Moon SNES RPG "Another Story" deserves a mention. Some of the boss battles are a pain, and it's a fairly straightforward RPG story and gameplay-wise, but it's Sailor Moon, so if you don't choose the jewellery you equip really carefully, you die. And the special attacks have glorious voice acting.
Plus at one point you go to Canada, and it's one of the most hilarious interpretations of my country I've ever seen.

Can't say I'm shocked by this either. I love Phil Anselmo, but every few years he does something stupid like this, and it's frustrating that he never seems to learn from his mistakes. He's been denying accusations of racism for 20+ years now, so at the very least, as a professional, he should know better than to yell white power anywhere near an audience.
I'm sure he was probably making some sort of drunken joke, but it was incredibly tasteless of him to do something like that at Dimebash of all places.
He recorded an apology.
-
^Yeah, I'm slightly more partial to the S/T, but I love The Lizard too. They had such an interesting vibe, so it's a shame they couldn't hold that line-up together long enough to release something new.
Then again, Matt and Jason are apparently still getting along, so I guess something good might still happen.
-
Sad that they couldn't keep the reunited original(-ish) line-up together. The first two Saigon Kick albums are gold.
Oh well, at least there are more live videos of them up on Youtube now.
-
Daisuke is back in the hospital with another intestinal obstruction: http://simplog.jp/pub/24615308/32
This is like the third time in a year. The guy must be getting so frustrated.
-
^Well, at least 5 of those look like anime convention appearances, so he's bound to make some $$ off merch sales there and an audience is pretty much guaranteed to show up, but yeah, I have no idea how they're going to draw more than 5 people to those other shows.
-
Somehow I forgot to throw in a mention for Prince's "If I Was Your Girlfriend", which is hilarious, sexy and adorable all at the same time.
http://videos.sapo.pt/LVB2Tz1LnF0RJjFZ4A9n
"If I was your girlfriend, would you let me dress you
I mean, help you pick out your clothes before we go out?
Not that you're helpless
But sometimes, sometimes those are the things that bein' in love's about"The Darkness' "Growing On Me" is glorious in sort of the same way. The "I wanna banish you from whence you came / But you're part of me now and I've only got myself to blame" bit always makes me smile and swoon at the same time. It's such a fun song to sing along to as well.

GLAY's "All Standard Is You" is one of my all-time favourites.
-
Sleeping in jeans are sometimes comfortable. Unless they're skinny jeans, then its honestly unbearable.
Yeah, I have a pair of really old jeans I wear around the house and sleep in sometimes, and they're actually more comfortable than most of the pyjama pants I own. Would never sleep in skinny jeans though.

Good Morning America - Mirai e no Spiral (2013)
Their first full album, released after 10+ years of playing together both in GMA and the emo band they were in before. Every song is catchy and memorable. I think I've sent about half of the tracks from this album in my mixes for the MH tradeoffs, I like it so much.
Suck a Stew Dry - Loveless Letter (2012)
This is a mini-album, but I like it better than Jibun Senki. You get Kosei at the peak of his awkward phase, and there's just such a sweet, gentle feel to all of the songs.
Nothing's Carved In Stone - echo (2011)
Some of the songs on Silver Sun stand out more, but I think echo has a really cool overall feel when you listen to it together. Still kind of bitter that they didn't do a live DVD for it.
NOA - picture diary (2013)
picture diary is the first album where one of NOA's singers started using Japanese lyrics, and it makes the songs really start to sound like they're by two completely different bands. I really love that aspect of it. Their styles are so different, and it's right on the edge of sounding like they should just start solo projects and be done with it, but somehow it all still works together.
The funny thing is, I was incredibly underwhelmed by 3/4 of these releases when I first heard them. It was only about a year later each time when they suddenly started to click with me.
-
I'm still kind of puzzled by the weirdly gruff voice they chose for Nephrite/Neflite from Sailor Moon in this version:
https://youtu.be/75u-zkvotZ4?t=2m42s
He's a devious pretty boy villain, not Nappa from DBZ.
-
Yui from umbrella plays guitar live most of the time.
Also, if we're counting GLAY as VK, Teru usually plays guitar when they do acoustic performances. He plays harmonica sometimes as well.
-
I really liked both of the covers for MO'SOME TONEBENDER's Strange Utopia Crazy Kitchen
-
Aki (NOA/World's End Super Nova) - @wesn_aki_noa
Ayapeta (Dizzy Sunfist) - @ayapettan
Kouki Kurihara (39degrees) - @kkx39degxba
Taku Muramatsu (Nothing's Carved In Stone) - @takkyunnn
Hidekazu Hinata (Nothing's Carved In Stone, STRAIGHTENER) - @hidekazuhinata_hinatch
Shohei Iohara (SHANK) - @shoheiiohara
-
The song is pretty outdated now, but "Pussy in my iPhone, iPhone in my pocket, onna no ko to Harajuku ni dekake" still cracks me up.
-
The new EVERLONG song is so cute <3
Really happy to see them starting to find their style. There's just such a sweet, playful feel to everything they release.
I will wait till someone uploads this year's COUNTDOWN JAPAN in a smaller size and will upload Frederic's part (and some other bands)
they sang Hello Goodbye
Cool, I really like Hello Goodbye.
I downloaded the small version of CDJ from 2014 last year and the video was crystal clear, but the sound was really bad. Haven't had the heart to download a big file like that since.
-
Was sorting through some of the half-finished translations on my computer and I found this.
The romaji for the parts in ~~ might not be accurate because those lines are not written in the kanji I was working from - I did them by ear from the video. I think they were added when they re-recorded the song, and the kanji is for the original version. If you think I heard it wrong, please don't hesitate to let me know. My listening comprehension is not so good. ^^;
I'm assuming that the setting is a circus like the one in Something Wicked This Way Comes, where normal people from town are somehow tricked into becoming the performers in the show.猫目の伯爵ウェンディに恋をする / The Cat-Eyed Earl Falls in Love with Wendy
Lyrics: Shingo Kuga
Music: LIPHLICH
~In this bizarre world reflected in his cat eyes
What will your eyes witness from now on?~
The cat-eyed earl sticks out his tongue inquisitively from under those eyes
The circus tent has come to town from an eastern city
Won’t you take your feathered hat off for the beautiful Wendy?*
For today’s special feature, the IT president will jump through a ring of fire
Circus is coming soon
Circus is coming soon
Come with me
Catman walks on the street
Well then, won’t you come over here?
Catman walks on the street
Tonight as well, they’re going crazy
Take a look, Wendy
The celebrity who cherishes nothing but her face has fallen from the ball
And look up above, the artist has lost his footing on the tightrope
This looks like it’s gonna hurt
That shut-in kid has thrown a knife right into his teacher
He’s gotten good at that, hasn’t he?
The IT president that loves danger passes through the ring of fire
Circus is going on
Circus is going on
Come with me
Catman walks on the street
Please stop doing dangerous things!**
Catman walks on the street
When you look at it through my eyes, it’s ridiculous***
Catman walks on the street
If there are good things, there’ve gotta be bad things too
Catman walks on the street
Tonight as well, they’re going crazy
~Wendy, I wonder what kind of eyes you’re looking at me with now
Even if you’re already looking at me like that, it’s fine****
Wendy, I wonder what kind of eyes I’m looking at you with now
I can already only look at you like this~*****
Catman walks on the street
Wendy, where are you going?
Catman walks on the street
Why are you looking at me with those eyes?
Catman walks on the street
Are you really going to leave without saying anything?
Catman walks on the street
I guess it can’t be helped, since you’re just a human too…
Notes:
*, ***, ****, ***** Not too confident about these lines
**With a playful tone, like “Come oooon guys, cut it out! *wink*”

Well, if we're counting English, Ken Lloyd from OBLIVION DUST and FAKE? is a native speaker. He was born in England and moved to Japan in his late teens (or maybe early 20s? I don't really know).
Jesse from RIZE is also pretty much fluent, as far as I know.
YOU from THE SOUND BEE HD tries really hard to respond to fans in English on Twitter. She also did a video interview that was mostly in English not that long ago, so I think she has been improving a lot recently.
