I really hope this is a one-off thing and not the direction they're going in permanently, because I really liked their first single.

I don't know about now, but they used to have bands like WHITE ASH, Pay money To my Pain, GALNERYUS, Fear, and Loathing in Las Vegas, etc. (although two of those are disbanded and the other two are now on Warner...) I think they have some connections to anime, because all of the artists I can think of that were on VAP got big anime tie-ups.

I like it, tbh. The song is catchy and the video looks pretty sleek, all things considered. Could see them doing anime/video game themes or something one day.

Kind of a weird year for me. A lot of the older stuff I'd normally scrobble is on my external hard drive, and it's kind of a hassle dragging it around with me, so I've only been listening to whatever I have on my computer at the moment, which is mostly newer releases and artists I'm not that familiar with.

I don't get all the hype about this band, tbh. Then again, I've never liked the GazettE or DIAURA, so I guess I shouldn't be surprised.

Half time Old have this weird mix of bitter, angsty teenager and nice guy next door vibes in their music, and there's something about the contrast between the two that I just can't get enough of.

^That is good advice. I used to be absolutely hopeless at cooking meat, but a few months ago I made chicken breast using a recipe that explained exactly how long to leave it in the pan, when to cover it, etc. and it basically changed my life. Same thing with stovetop popcorn. 

 

It sounds ridiculous, but using a recipe for even the simplest things at first and following the steps precisely makes a big difference.

Deep stuff man. My head is spinning from wild revelations like Kiyoharu might be gay because "He just has that stereotypical effeminate look" in some of Kuroyume's old videos.

They were based in Berlin for a while (or maybe they still are now?), and they were being promoted overseas by HIGHFeeL/REALive, who organize a lot of concerts in Europe.

This is excellent. 

 

 

I was a little worried that they were losing their touch, since I wasn't really feeling the video tracks from their last album, but I love the MVs from the new one. They capture both sides of their appeal really nicely.

 

 

 

I'm from Canada, but I live in Toronto. I know there are a lot of Canadians on this forum, but not sure how many are in the western provinces. 

 

I've met quite a few Japanese music fans around here, although not that many specifically into VK. Japanese language classes are the easiest place to find them, in my experience. I'm too shy to initiate conversations at concerts, so it was helpful that I had to talk to the people in my class to pass. XD
