Conspiracy theory:
 
the new album has been finished for a long time, but Yoshiki and the label are waiting for X to become a household in the US with all these promotional gimmicks before releasing amid every single bribeable corporate media outlet touting ”THE LEGENDS ARE BACK.” In Yoshiki’s mind the western breakthrough is due any day now, and only because of backroom dealing, share owning and yakuza favours from back in the day when X was printing money everyone is going along with his delusions and Japanese SONY execs are essentially obligated to make all these phonecalls stateside
 
”hey it’s me again. I owe this guy for all the coke and underaged hookers back in the day so can you just get him on the lineup? Just put him  somewhere in the back it doesn’t matter and we’ll sell it to him that he’s going head to head against Beyonce and she’s scared out of her wits that he’ll steal all the buzz. I think they just don't know what to do. Ever since they realized that they were in this position they probably started to rely on Retsu to pull all the strings more than usual and he probably is just as lost as them in this situation. All of the decisions they're making are so sporadic, like when they dropped their visuals it just seemed like some sort of desperate last effort attempt at trying to appeal towards western fans or something. All they have to do is focus on getting new members and then take some time with the album.
 
It's a slow yet sure and unfortunate decline that I don't see them recovering from.

Looks a bit bleak for the band. It does seem weird they are still pushing so much without a complete lineup, cool that they are trying to make do given the situation but seriously they need to get it together and become a solid unit again. ORRRR they can just call it quits and Retsu can do his own solo project called "DIMLIM2" and just do the music on the side of his job as a salary man. Or, 3rd option, they can wait until summer 2020 when I hopefully will be moving to Japan (fingers crossed!) and I can join them as second guitarist OR bassist OR BOTH and help pull them out of their slump. lol.

I fear that DIMLIM is not long for this world. 
 
Retsu is a great songwriter, but clearly a shitty businessman. I’m willing to bet that the band’s troubles rest squarely on him making poor decisions. Anyone that will bitch at fans on Instagram for finding alternate means of hearing music that was sold at one show in Japan – and NOWHERE ELSE – obviously doesn’t have their head on straight. 
 
Also, for a band that records such densely layered music to continue on playing live without a second guitarist and bass player is asinine. Retsu is clearly in too deep, and Sho and Hiroshi are probably ready to GTFO. The live shows matter; that’s what brings people in. Record sales don’t mean shit anymore, so even if DIMLIM manages to squeak out a new album, it won’t matter if they promote it with pathetic live performances. 
 
I wonder if Retsu is the type that doesn’t want any outsiders handling the music, and he just wants to do it all himself to keep his integrity or whatever. If that’s the case he needs to get over himself and find some management.

Do agree it's getting a bit repetitive as well. That said, I still liked it, just not as much as I may have done if it was the first Jiluka song I ever heard. Also, thought it was pretty amusing how in the video Sena seems to be trying to make up for the lack of androgynous looks of the other three guys by himself. I'm surprised he didn't get the fake boobs out again. haha.
