  1. The last song I ever liked by them is Senkou. Phoenix is fine, but it still has a poppish touch that you know, after a time you grow bored of the song.
  2. Kind of interesting video, but got bored with them music as it progressed really.
  3. Not impressed with DIAWOLF. There is a bit of ONE OK ROCK going on there. As for Alice Nine, their song Phoenix sounded more interesting.

I noticed Dir en grey there too.
  5. I haven't listened to anything from them since their album Yurikago. I hope they will not disband.
  6. My favourite is Fake. Even though it is a very short sample and the fact that I don't know enough Japanese so as to understand the lyrics the song feels emotional, especially the chorus. There is a good interaction between emotional melody and chaotic melody in the sample.
  7. Their preview on Youtube seems quite successful. A bit more then 8 thousand views.
  8. I also like Deadman, but not as much as I like kein because kein is more indies-sounding. I am still wondering if the part in グラミー where Maco sings about being heterosexual -no, scapegoat- and then saying he is homosexual (the character he's playing in the song) has something to do with him being sentenced to death. My interpretation was that the song had something to do with homophobia, this being the reason for his death sentence.
  9. Is it possible that you could share some scans of kein's pics?
  10. Wow, how did you get to know this? Do you know Maco in person or did he tell all this in an interview? My japanese is really poor but I managed to get some of the lyrics using Google Translate as well as intuition. There is a part of the song when he sings about being homosexual I thought the song was about a guy sentenced to death for simply being homosexual while a crowd sadistically enjoys the viewing of his suffering.
  11. If someone knew him in person I would love him or her to ask him about the meaning of the song. I have been able to translate the song, but I would like to know what drove them to compose it. グラミー, one of the best songs in Visual Kei and one of the most underrated too.
  12. Judging from those two videos, the guitars are dull, boring and that is a problem.
  13. Perhaps because they feel that (constructive) criticism undermines a band's career...

Apart from a few songs from the time when he just started his solo career I was not a fan of his music. However, I found Miyavi somehow original, his music had some interesting sounds, subliminal singing, etc. Now, he has traded all that to become a more mainstream artist, appealing enough to a broader spectruum of western audiences which Visual Kei, even in its most maintream branch, simply cannot provide to him. Well, I will always have Jibun kakumei 2003 and Girls, be ambitous and Due'le quartz in my heart.

Fake from their upcoming release is stuck in my head. I wish they would release it sonner u.u
  16. At the end of 操リ人間 clip I can't help hearing "death trap" as in Zan by Dir en gey. At least to me, it sounds similar. I am very interested in listening to the full version of Fake. Loved the drumming speeding up at the end the clip for that song. I miss that drumming style which is not very common to hear these days in Visual Kei bands.

THE Suicide☆$HOW TIME reminds me of CHILD PREY.
  18. All previews where Kyouki has purple hair, interesting. The ones where he has blond hair, not interesting. The first song where he appears with purple hair sounds very much like Kiri to mayu. They adopted a rather more indies indies 90's Visual Kei sound. They don't sound that sophisticated (if that's the word...) this time. The purple hair and the clothes Kyouki is wearing also reminded me of Dir en grey's Tsumi to batsu PV.
  19. From indies Visual Kei, Mist of Rouge to sort of tropical Enka... Not bad anyway.
  20. I don't know the reason why Memento Mori had to disband, but given the fact that this new band sounds a bit like Memento Mori I tend to think that probably they wanted to add other melodies/sounds to their music but Memento Mori¿s style sounding so traditionally Japanese limited this possibility...

Focus sounds less strong in that sample than it did in the Youtube preview, but still cool. Looking forward to listening to it fully.

I want to listen to the full version of the second song in the preview.
