I hope my dream of watching a clip of the band playing CHIRU SAKURA comes true one very soon day...
  2. The shape of his jaw makes him look younger... He looks like he is in his early thirties.
  3. "Kuroyuri to Kage" doesn't sound like a catchy band name... Let's see/hear what they will sound like now.
  4. Loved it, both music and art. I have the impression Kamijo lost some weight... Loved the lilt in the music so typical of Visual Kei. By the way, the intro made think Malice Mizer would show up any moment XD

With more presence on Youtube and other platforms, could bands such as La'Veil MizeriA get more people to develop an interest in their music from the west? How important is how decently a band member can play an instrument and how well a vocalist can sing in order to receive enough attention from possible followers/fans? I am not talking about prodigious skills, just enough skills or experience for them to be able to play and sing decently so that people feel an interest in what they are listening to.

Last year, while searching for any pics of old school Visual Kei artists I finally came across these and some more of Sakito (ex Due le quartz)

All these thing you guys are saying about bands being not that popular make me curious and want to know more. Is there a thread to discuss these things?

Well, I wouldn't mind it Alice Nine turned a bit heavier... I always liked the Yami ni chiru sakura side of the band.

That sounds kind of racist... They are just american countries. And they are not as poor countries as you think.
  10. seikun

Would this mean their music might change a little?

As far as I know Visual Kei has had a decent amount of fans in my country (Chile) since at least the mid 90's. Still events are held based on Visual Kei. There is this alternative disco that plays Visual Kei music (especially 90's VK) and you can watch PVs and dance to the songs of Visual Kei bands. There was so sudden massive "invasion" of Visual Kei since 2006 till about 2010, but there were already a lot of fans prior to this ranging from teens to young adults and many still love VK and stick around the scene in some way or another.

I highly doubt it that copyright is ruining things for Visual Kei today anymore than the music most bands are making. At least we could agree in that the copyright thing might make thigs worse but Visual Kei has been in a critical situation (so to speak) for quite some time. Visual Kei is not interesting and appealing for most people these days. The niche is feeble now. Most Visual Kei bands that are "visible" appeal to teen girls. As soon as they grow up they will eventually stop liking those bands because they don't meet their new interests as adults.

Don't I have the right to do so just like you have the right to mention whatever period of Visual Kei as you like? Why would that invalidate a comment?
  14. seikun

And why do you think there is less of Visual Kei on Youtube? Is Visual Kei now as appealing as it used to be?

Today most Visual Kei bands sound the same and their music (poppish and many times unispired, in my opinion) doesn't appeal to me. Also, most Visual Kei bands have totally gotten rid of the dramatic performances and the shock factor behind the aesthetics that it feels there is not need for makeup and specific type of clothes anymore if they are not going to do anything with them apart from trying to simply look cute and fashionable.

Everlasting is nice, but not as powerful as other singles released by L'arc~en~ciel. It hasn't gotten stuck in my head so far. On another note, there is this sound the song uses that reminds me of Bones by Rose Noire.
  17. I want to listen to anything by Vabel. Is there anything out there to listen to?
  18. Since 甘イ右脳、赭イ左脳 all the other subsequent PVs by Grieva seem to be heavily protected from being uploaded on any site... I still want to watch Tsumi PV.
  19. I never heard of this band before but somehow I sensed Lida before he even showed up in the clip (Prism spirit)

I googled that label in search for an official website but found nothing so far. Anyway, it is nice to know he is still involved in music. I hope there are any news about the other Baiser members, Rei, Mizuki and Katsura... Kind of dreaming of a never-happening Baiser revival... Thanks!!
  21. And another band in that set, haha! Well, the only problem I have with that set is the size. Even if they try filming from a low angle (what they usually do) to give the illusion there is room enough it doesn't work at all. The drummer seem to have a hard time trying to play while being against the wall. I clicked on the link provided and I see that there is also where Kamijo filmed the Symphony of the Vampire.
  22. What?!! Are Royz, Avanchick and Tokami under the same label? Now it is three PV filmed in the same set! And again, there is a woman involved. No woman's name this time though, but kind all three PVs look similar in concept to me one way or another. By the way, they all should stop using that set. It is just too ridiculously small and narrow >.<

Kind of interesting band. Vocal needs to improve his singing. Music is very much monotone which is a turn-off for me most of the time. The first song was the most interesting for me.

Oh my existence! YUKARIIIIIIIII!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!! Could you please provide details if possible? When was this article/interview published? What it is about? Is it known how old YUKARI is now? etc. I had already lost all hopes of seeing or hearing anything new about YUKARI. He seemed to have vanished from the surface of the planet, but there he is!! Thank you VERY VERY VERY much!!!
  25. I am now starting to wonder whether the song was also inspired by Lilia (Royz)... In both songs the names are repeated all along the chorus... (Lilia/Maria) In both PVs there is a woman in kind of similar situations... Same set...
