  1. Vocal's hair looks burnt.
  2. Wow, nice preview that last video. Loved his dramatization. I was missing very much the theatrical aspect of Visual Kei that is so uncommon these days. Nice song too. I'm definitely going to check them out.
  3. I was never a fan of An Cafe, but liked some songs. I think I prefer their early years as a band. Nothing beats that era

I still use Soulseek from time to time. I abruptly left Soulseek in 2010 and when I came back, around 2013 most of the people I used to be friends with there was gone. I remember this person who had Daraku, Baiser's demo. I would always try to download it with no success XD
  5. I don't think his music is bad; just nothing Visual Kei in what he offers and not my type of music. I don't agree with the statement that Visual Kei can only be performed by Japanese people. Remember the gaijin who plays(ed) with Kyouka (from the glorious band Aliene Ma'riage)? Visual Kei is not ethnicity; it is a way of expression.
  6. Hahaha, Nick Jonas. Although Nick now looks like a bodybuilder. I didn't know this guy was rich. The impression I got from watching some of his videos is that there is some sort of fetish for Japanese culture going on. As when you just discover, let's say, anime or Visual Kei and then that leads you to know more about Japanese culture and it is like you enter in fantasy world that you always dreamt of.
  7. I don't care about his nationality. I am surprised this is classified as Visual kei. Youtube gave more videos of this singer and nothing Visual Kei about him and his music. His looks are more like emo and his music sounds like some sort electro-gothic thing. Perhaps, labeling him as Visual kei is a strategy to get people to notice him or to find himself a place in the japanese music industry or both... Who knows... His name is perfect for a Visual Kei band though XD
  8. Hmm, why is this classified as Visual Kei? There's nothing either aesthetically or musically that says Visual Kei, in my opinion o.O
  9. I kind of like Vasalla, at least a few songs. I haven't listened to With Sexy much. Perhaps I should now...
  10. I was expecting something more telling. Ok, let's keep waiting.
  11. I like Phantasmagoria, although I like their darker side, not so much at the end getting softer. As for Lin, as I said, I have been listening to the band since last year. I like what the band did with Riku and thr other band members. I don't dislike Sui at all, but changing the vocalist and consequenlty a change in sound made the band too different. By the way, since you are talking about VK switching to metalcore, is the synth era (I don't know how to say it better) kind of gone? I mean the sound as in songs like Limit by ν[NEU] that was so popular since 2010 at least.
  12. I just started to listen to Lin last year, but I wonder how much this "hiatus" was influenced by the change of vocal and sound... I suppose as time goes by there is less and less room for the old melodies in Visual Kei... Kind of a whole movement in decline.
  13. I didn't know they were still around. Watching some of their latest PVs I realised some of these bands kind of refuse to grow up or mature musically as members also grow older...

    Eliphas Levi
  15. If that would ever be possible they would spend a long time on a world tour. So many countries would want them to perform live.

The sound is a bit like that of the mid 2000's. Might feel interested in them.

I'm willing to buy original stuff but accessibility is a problem for me. I know a website in my country that sells some Visual Kei stuff but the prices are unreasonably high.

Ironically, ilegal material is what has made Visual Kei bands massively known for a western audience and a considerable portion of it spends money to get the legal stuff after being exposed to it through ilegal uploads.

Hi Could someone share the lyrics of Refuse by Lar~Mia, this old school Visual Kei band? Kind of a hard request but I hope someone can share this. Very thankful to anyone who shares this. Thanks in advance!

I wonder why western VK bands don't get inspiration from old achool Visual Kei which is the type of Visual Kei that achieved a certain distinct sound. Perhaps, they feel that type of music is too indie-sounding and will not get them enough fans or probably their main attraction to Visual Kei is the aesthetics and not so much the music itself... Interestingly, Dir en grey released UROKO recently, it sounds extremely old school Visual Kei but with a more contemporaneous touch. That's proof that you can modernize sounds while keeping its esence.

The song is not bad, I just resent the musical style a bit because, as I have said about other bands, it becomes monotone and it doesn't stand out given the fact that most bands sound like this nowadays, but it is not a bad product anyway.

Fake my favourite from this release. I think the guitar solo could have been more complex than that but still like the song. I would love to watch the PV.
  23. Is La'Veil MizeriA a rather unstable (so to speak) band? They don't seem to have a consistent discography...
  24. seikun

I need to see whole part when they played Seishun Roll Over!
  25. Thanks for the lyrics and translations. I'm looking forwards to reading the translation for Fake.
