      @reminiscing2004 pretty much the case look at Riku's (Phantasmagoria, chariots) "home". And keep in mind he's well known in vk, imagine how much worse it must be for nobodies.

    I'm considering making a blogspot for Visual Kei downloads, a-la evil-en-lucifer, because I'm gonna be real, MH is probably gonna die and those 10+ years of hard to find vkei downloads could disappear.

    So I was wondering if any old-school collectors would want to help with my project.

     

    I have a lot of Vkei CDs I inherited from my ex who doesn't like Vkei anymore, so I can start it off, but this is gonna have to be a group project.

      Yes it scrobbles correct after the first edit, no maintenance after that. And I believe it's called "Web Scrobbler" although I'm not by my pc right now so I'm not 100% sure. I'll let you know for sure by tonight whether it's called that.

      What browser you use? Because I use chrome and there's a plugin that let's you edit tags of songs as they're scobbling, then it saves them so you won't have to edit them again in the future. But yes you never get correct tags for non-English songs/artists on spotify.

      @reminiscing2004 idk about that because lots of the vk blogspots still haven't died. Some of them have been up since 2007 and many of them are obscure enough to were they don't garner any attention.

       

      @Himeaimichu I think a blogspot could work?? But if we were trying to coordinate more than downloads, we would need some better way to communicate than a comment section. If I had to make any suggestion it would be a discord. Because it has all of the social features as well as the ability to create a download section, which on discord various separate sections look like this (ex. #vk downloads, #general, etc.) Although, I've never operated discord, only use it for streaming. But it could definitely work.

      And anything I obtain along the way because I love a lot of 2000-2010 era vk bands and a handful of earlier ones e.g. merry-go-round, ∀NTI FEMINISM, 妃阿甦, etc. And I'm collecting new old school shit all the time. Always want to get more hq stuff out there to replace old bad rips. Also stuff that just isn't online at all too of course.

      No doubt. This is making me so sad. But yes I have lots although a lot of my earlier stuff 1995-2010 range from crappy rips to transcodes. Although I have some hq stuff. Nothing really above AAC 277kbps and mp3 320kbps. I never rip anything myself above that quality do to file size.

      I would love to see it, I'll contribute as far as uploads when a where I can. I'm all about preservation of the scenes within vk. @Axius might also be interested? Anyway I wish you the best of luck but unfortunately what I mentioned above would be all I could really do.

    tried to rip a misa tape to replace the rip floating around that sounds like it was recorded underwater and i was hoping to make a clearer one where you can actually make out what the fuck he's saying... turns out he either just recorded it like that, or in a million-to-one shot, i own the exact same copy that the original rip was made from
