Watched a bunch of classic horror these past few days. Maniac (original version) Shotgun to the head scene and the ending scene both made the movie for me. Sleazy and gritty atmosphere to the max. Sweet as fuck soundtrack too. Should look into the remake w/ Frodo as well, I've heard it's worthwhile. The New York Ripper Killer speaking with a duck voice goes around NYC murdering woman in various brutal ways. Lucio Fulci movie, you should know what to expect. Quite enjoyable giallo sleaze, some nice visual bits, visceral gore and lots of attractive girls. No reinvention of the wheel here, but what it does, it does well. Inferno Sequel to Suspiria. I feel like Suspiria overall had a stronger eerie atmosphere, and I also feel like Suspiria was a lot more coherent/cohesive overall (and that's saying something, considering that movie's dreamlike nature...). Still, I REALLY enjoyed this one as well. The visual style's still just so deliciously over the top and stylized, I love it. Soundtrack's great as usual as well. Particularly enjoyed the scene with the rats and the hotdog vendor running across water, very eerie nightmare quality to it.

I'm glad the bois are getting some overseas exposure and hopefully people will go and see them, but at the same time i'm still kind of miffed that VK bands so often end up relegated to anime con-tier fwiw meto's comeback album was p solid imo

Been playing Cursed Castle/Maldita Castilla lately. Very nice throwback to the Makaimura (aka Ghosts 'n Goblins) franchise that seems to be influenced by Spanish folklore to some extent if I'm not wrong. The aesthetics and soundtrack both capture that Sega Genesis-era atmosphere PERFECTLY, and the difficulty is actually also pretty on point in my opinion. Worth looking into for anyone into retro-style games, especially since the original version can be downloaded for free on the dev's website

There is hardly anything amusing about this feud. They care about the election because they do not approve of our laws, language, culture and religion and only think of their own country, and / or warping ours to their own hand. Well, then go back home and leave the most diverse and culturally accepting country in all of the European Union. They do not think of themselves as Dutch, they think of themselves as Turks only. Let's hope tomorrow changes this all, I know who gets my vote.

I can't help but wonder sometimes why people move to countries where they clearly don't fit in, nor do they want to fit in? I mean, turks aren't refugees, so they can't use that excuse... I know that I'd feel uncomfortable moving to a country that differed strongly in moral values from my own, so I wonder what drives them.

A lot these protestors did not move here, they are second generation and were born here from parents who moved to the Netherlands because we requested Turkish workers in the 60's to 80's. I do not know why they feel so inherently Turkish only when sharing two nationalities, though. My dad works in a steel processing factory and most of his colleagues are Turkish (those from the aforementioned migration plan), and a lot of them are ashamed of their offspring and the general rebellious Turkish / Arab youth.

Not sure if ANY of this has been posted before, i'm too lazy to go through >15 pages of content just to post a bunch of vids, but i found some things ppl may like if they dont know about it already... Something about this band's sound somehow gives me アルカラ vibes, can't quite place what it is, though... But they sound cool Female-fronted band, don't know much about 'em, there's just two vids on their official YT account. Some pretty alright guitar noodling here and there though I'm 100% sure @CAT5has shared some of these guys' stuff on here in the past. Indie band whose sound (at least on their earlier material, IDK much about their newer stuff) for some reason sometimes reminded me vaguely of certain Angura Kei sounds This reminds me v. strongly of Hitorie, are they connected in some way?

@anakuro It's not exactly metalcore, more alt metal or post-hardcore or something, but have you tried these guys? Also, again not metalcore, but some other -core offshoot, but try these guys anyway
