I'm sad that those Twitter hackers didn't get Yoshiki's account, seeing him tweet about giving away free bitcoin would be strangely on brand for him.

I was walking home late night with the missus in torrential rain when we saw a woman's handbag lying bare on the street. For about three seconds we had the idea of taking a look inside in case it would have anything therein to identify its owner if someone had accidentally lost it, but almost immediately I notice that there's all kinds of junk discarded all over the street: pens, basically an entire women's wardrobe, memorabilia and everything else you'd have in a room where someone lived in. There were numerous people observing what was going on in the balconies of the building where the stuff had been thrown out of, and that's when I realised that it was probably a domestic dispute that had woken up the entire neighborhood. When we took a few steps to right to see if anything else would transpire it was as if on cue that a cop car with three firetrucks arrive at the scene; they get about doing their whole thing with flashlights and separate teams of two to three people entering the building from different entrances while an inflatable platform is set up in front of the building in case someone was to jump off a balcony or the roof. It was about as dark as it could get in a city that's lit more or less around the clock by a menagerie of different artificial light sources, but nonetheless the silhouette of the roof of the building was in shrouded in darkness where only after a few minutes of staring at it, you could make out a character sitting there kind of apprehensively leaning of the edge without a whole lot of commitment. It was pretty sad to look at when I started thinking about the whole episode of throwing out some person's things from the balcony and then probably after a couple drinks being like 'fuck it, imma jump," and then by the time your up there already knees deep in this grand gesture, you have everyone living in the block starting at you with three firetrucks below with megaphones and all making into a such a scene that if I wasn't full regrets before, now I'd definitely want to be burying my head in the sand somewhere far off in the desert (or alternatively, in the bottom of a bottle.)

While we were looking at the whole thing to see if he'll jump or not, a wandering and a very chatty middle aged alcoholic in white slacks and wet, greasy hair manages to surprise us from the behind, so naturally we had to politely listen to what he had to say. About a day ago he was on his way from the bank where he had withdrawn 10 000 zloty for his wife until he was surprised by a rowing gang of thieves who then proceeded to relieve him of his wife's cash. Ever since he has been too embarrassed to return home to deal with the scolding, and that's why he's now going around the streets drinking the time away and trying to come up with something, and he'd appreciate it greatly if we could help him to a few coins so he'd get a beer for himself. Unfortunately we didn't have cash with us, or a lot of enthusiasm to help him out for that matter, so he had to keep on going. Before that he asked if there was any advice for him, and when she told him to "tell the truth maybe?" He just remarked that it won't do, after which we got kisses on the cheek and off he went. By this time the man on the roof had disappeared back into the building and the emergency workers were packing things up. The last thing I saw was our friend trying to excavate the bag we first saw laying on the ground, probably for some cash, and an angry fireman chasing him off from looting the anonymous lady's belongings.

KrumpingChihuahua reacted to Nighttime Jae in Does technique matter to Japanese vocalists?
It's a very mixed bag. In my opinion, the only way to find out about the real ability of a vocalist is live. Often, some guys that are really great on record can't deliver live: often out of tune and/or don't have enough vocal tecnique to last throughout a whole live. Sometimes sound can also affect the performance, e.g: obviously bigger bands have better sound, so they're gonna sound better live. Sometimes with smaller bands I find if the instruments are not balanced in sound, they can barely hear themselves, leading to issues with their pitch etc. But I think there are some really great live vocalists, and those who are most definitely have had vocal lessons: I know Yuu, one of CLACK inc.'s guitarist, works as a  vocal coach with other vk singers as well, and obviously he's a very skilled singer with his own project Ultimate Sonic as well as the previous bands he's been singing in. Takeru, the vocalist of CLACK inc., has also great tecnique and he's been improving a lot live as well, so I assume he's been working with Yuu recently. This is just an example, I'm sure there's plenty vk vocalists that have singing tecnique and have underwent vocal training.

I don't really consider myself a "good" person. In fact, i'm pretty fucked up. But regardless, there's something beautiful about doing "good" to people just for the sake of doing good...Like with no expectations of anything in return....it just feels great to be a blessing to people.

    I normally don't paint anymore
I rather create doll clothing, which means i am sewing a lot
most stuff is commission work, so when I post it's sold already because someone asked me to sew that thing ^^

Also I paint my dolls....i think my most impressive work are kyo's (Dir en grey) Tattoos on my dolli, and yes he has all expect the new one on his ear and the one on his leg, because i just did not have time for the second mentioned, and i won't do the facial one...cause i dont like it!

Well, I'll also start with Kyo I think...
maybe I'll add some clothing things....depends how interessted you are in my stuff XDDD

KrumpingChihuahua reacted to Tokage in VK Fan Turnover rates
This has already been kinda touched upon earlier ITT, but one thing I've noticed within the VK fandom more than within basically ANY of the other music spheres I've dipped my toes into is that a ton of people who get into VK seem to act as if the only bands that exist are the ones that are currently active, and any group that's disbanded/on hiatus/whatever just vanishes into oblivion as soon as the new looks and singles stop popping up. There's this tendency for people to basically treat the scene the same way tons of anime fans treat anime - "if it's not part of the current season then i pretend not to see it". Considering the ridiculous turnover rate that most VK bands themselves tend to have, this can easily lead to situations where people suddenly find themselves left without their faves even within the span of just months.

This reminded me that when I first got into Japanese music, I'd (we'd?) look up the defunct classic bands and see which members were involved with which band, then that band would get popular among the fanbase. Are upcoming og members training anyone anymore? Like I got into Joker/Screw and I'd open the pamphlet to make sure Thanks to Kagerou was on there. Baiser->Rentrer en Soi comes to mind as well.

As for me, I was already into late night electronic & alt rock on the radio so it was very easy to transition to most VK bands in HS. I mellowed out a bit in college and I still like like my old homie bay area 106 kmel ghetto beats. Koop is too poppy and their alt rock is... too alt?  But better than the kpop-- but I only listen to Korean music I associate with my stay there. In general, that stuffs not "dark" enough for me lol so I guess you have to already have a taste for it. I do question how someone could jump so easily from Older VK to Kpop but maybe we were listening to dif things or the new VK scene is just That boybandy.

I don't think I'll phase out of VK until there stop being Connections. This is the only genre where for some reason I care what members are doing sometimes. I think it's silly but they made it easier with social media!
Actually, maybe I'm already phased out. I don't know the new folks, Screw was the last one I think. Now I just surprise myself with oldies or an album from a band I used to listen to but never got around to X release. I can't justify geeking out about something bran spanking new on the music scene anymore. Or I'm lazy. Or I'm done dealing with new-er stuff. I'm just freaking old already, ok?
