    Out of curiosity what are some examples of vk bands in the past, that much like dimlim where it feels like 99% of the consensus (at least among the western online community) that they're solid. Feels like with other popular bands you still had a pretty present vocal audience saying they sucked ie mejibray, deathgaze, kizu etc (wont even bother mentioning obvious ones like diru and gazette)

      I think pretty much every band had/has SOMEONE who doesn't like them, even if they're not that vocal about it. But as for saying like the majority supported a certain band, I also disagree with that because I'm sure there's some corner on the internet where VK fans gather/used to gather where the consensus might be totally different. I mean I remember hearing that Latin American fans are obsessed with Versailles, like on another level. Also seconding @Disposable on the fact that "the scene is different and we are older" because I think that plays a lot into it. But all of you saying you dislike 9goats, pls turn in your VK card, I'll be collecting them at the window over here from 9 pm tonight

    does anyone else really dislike the trend of putting the lyrics on top of the PV nowadays . it's so distracting

    Is anyone really familiar with Tenten/Taira Kazuhiro's bands and could recommend some of his stuff? I used to really like Chemical Pictures but fell off with following his bands after that. He has a really unique voice that I always liked and I wanted to see if any of his more recent bands were any good but I'm not too sure where to start. Cross posted to music recs thread.

      I see. I guess that makes sense. It would be pretty hard to come close to Chemical Pictures for me anyway. They had a really unique vibe. Thanks for your input!

    Explosion at Kyoto Animation's head office, and the inside of building seems largely damaged from the subsequent fire.  It was an act of arson by a 40 y.o man. Currently in coma.

      holy shit. seems like over 30 people were injured, 1 has died, and up to 10 people are in critical condition. Suspect is a 41 year old male. I used to live in Kyoto so this is really really horrible to see, everyone must be terrified.

      kskskks of course...I haven't actually heard their music but it seems terrible from what I've heard lmfao. Apparently they recorded the album in one of their apartments. I cannot
