Announced earlier in the week. Title and release date will be announced later.  The plan is for a summer release.  Apparently, more details will be revealed  on 2/9 as he's planning to open a memorial site to celebrate his 25th anniversary on that day. There will be a cover of BOUKYAKU NO SORA inlcuded, but it sounds like that's the only track he's covering from his own (solo/kuroyume/sads) catalogue. He's moved from TRIAD to PONY CANYON. He's also planning to release an autobiography.

new band "ロゼ (Roze)" will commence formal activities at 2019/4/21 at Shinjuku Ruido K4, at which their single "ハウル (Howl)" will be released.

i dont even know if these guys count but throwback to my middle school days

new PUNCH RECORDS band "IIIRD" (Third) has formed and they will appear at Cure World Visual Festival 2019 at 新木場STUDIO COAST on April 28. They are described as "passionate, depressive metal", so they better be good. 🙏

22 years ago, on January 24, 1997, DIR EN GREY played their first ever show at Nagano J.
Kyo, Kaoru, Die and Shinya arrived the day before and met Toshiya in a parking lot.
They stayed at Toshiya's parents' house over night and on the next day, they booked two hours in a studio to rehearse.
In the evening, there was an event and the future members of DIR EN GREY performed on stage together for the first time.
Since they had not thought of a band name, they called themselves DEATHMASK and played around four Kuroyume cover songs.
Toshiya also performed with D+L as their support guitarist on that evening.
So since it's already the 24th in Japan, today marks 22 years since the true beginning of DIR EN GREY! 😊

Most recent bands arent worth your ears--SORRY. There was a phase 3/4 years ago where like, all the hot startups were good but now we don't have much of anything to rely on. Dominor bands are flopping hard lately.
 
Kizu, DIMLIM, Virge, Rands and RAZOR are promising. DIMLIM are incredible, out of all the bands I would highly recommend them.

Kizu and dimlim easily, I love razor but they got a bit of a hot mess sound going on. Kizu and dimlim are just brilliant 

things went different than expected on the blood moon night, but tonight's meditation and dream walk will finish this chapter

lines as well...since most are lost in the black and it's probably the most detailed freehand pixel drawing I've done in a long time. I've really tuned back into myself since I stopped shelling stuff out for money
 

I've been sick since the end of November but the good thing that comes of it is I got to do a lot of personal art. It only took about 5 months for my meditation landscape to become fucked lol

These vk bands are gonna suck me dry with all these march releases 

I'm actually cool with this band so far but  chedoara destroys 99% of anything I've heard this year 

i dont know i kind of actually really dig it. i know some people might think of it as a less impressive version of dimlim but considering dimlim has been the most impressive group this year i think its fine
