I'd absolutely go for Horizon. It has the best bang-for-buck ratio of all those 3, imo.

Only played the latter two, but of those Nier. Horizon had a strong start and became a slog after that, never really becoming fully engaging.

Nier:Automata is gonna be a game that you will get HOOKED on.
Horizon ZD is on sale right now so it's hard to resist, and GoW kinda requires backstory from other games imo (unless you don't care).

Nier is a charming but of course quirky little piece of Yoko Taro art, also a fun and unique blend of action-rpg and elements of bullet hell and character-action gameplay. It seemed a little on the easy side when I played it (when it was brand new) but I know they've patched more challenge into it now.
Yeahh choose the self-important niche JRPG and dismiss celebrated AAA titles (Disney's Brave: Revengance and "Quiet, Boy! - the official video game")
If anything Nier:Automata is at least an innovation and the one of the three which would be most likely to still be a relevant point of conversation in a few years.... (maybe, wtf do I know)

Cage is very pretty, imho. The ending is very theatrical. But the one that brings tears to my eyes while thinking about the meaning of the verses is 304 goushitsu, hakushi no sakura.

If you like older sounding VK, anything before their SMILE album will work.
