  1. In an absolutely unprecedented move, Japanese metal juggernaut DIR EN GREY has just announced their up-coming TOUR20 疎外 (Sogai), to be held from March 27 to April 23.

But wait, there's more! They will also hold a two-mandays live on July 23 and 24 at Pia Arena, entitled "The Insulated World -The Screams of Alienation-".

Why does it say Nagoya 2019 6.15 at the beginning of the second song if the performance is from Osaka? :D

The Nagoya one is this one: https://www.setlist.fm/setlist/lynch/2019/nagoya-shi-koukaidou-nagoya-japan-7b91ce50.html

And right after a cut, Yuusuke suddenly wears a hat... what's going on with that? @.@

Anyway, the tracklist at least is from Tokyo, without encore: https://www.setlist.fm/setlist/lynch/2019/nakano-sunplaza-tokyo-japan-6b91929a.html

  3. I added some more, but you can find some missing ones here: https://twitter.com/search?f=tweets&q="DIMLIM" セトリ&src=typd

Also, I fixed some of the typos etc., to comply with the website's guidlines.

Here, if you want to go all-out. Be careful, though, they list instore events in the same list as their lives: https://web.archive.org/web/20170606171549/http://www.dimlim-official.com:80/schedule/

@Seelentau you'll probably know what I'm talking about. Wasn't there a performance from ~97 where they did a fakeout with the intro to I'll but transitioned immediately into ZAN and played for about ten minutes?

Yeah, the one on the Osaka Hall VHS/DVD. It's from 1999 though. -I'll-'s first known performance is from August 3, 1998.

  5. The full version has a slightly longer intro... and the heavy breakdown starts where the promotional edit ends. it's a bit of heavy instrumental, then heavy lyrics and screams come into it. Bit of chanting and the usual stuff. Then it rolls out and comes to a pause... Piano instrumental with a kyo acapella.. then builds up again with the drums and back into the final chorus with a bit of a choir chanting at the end. It's really cool

is what I was told by someone who allegedly heard the studio version

Yeah, she goes to another school tho :^)

I'm not sure if I've got your tone right and you're judging, but this line is giving me a major cosmic brain moment coming from a stan of a band that released clever sleazoid tbh

No worries, I don't exactly like Kyo's Engrish either :D

But DIMLIM's vocalist is on a whole 'nother level. I noticed he also does that with Japanese lyrics, in 塵外 for example.

So maybe it's not a cop-out, who knows.

Listened to their discography today. Why are people saying he's Kyo's clone? I'm aware he said Kyo is someone he looks up to or whatever, but...

He doesn't sound like him at all. If anything, he sounds more like a bad copy. Pig squeals aren't everything. Also, +1 on him destroying his voice.

After some more listening, they remind me of bands like iwrestledabearonce or One Morning Left, sometimes.

Also, what I noticed as well is that the vocalist often growls the English lyrics. To avoid proper pronounciation, I assume^^
