LUNA SEA is my favourite band, so I had to read this thread from page 1 all over again and enjoyed all the stuff you'all had to say about the band.
I don't know why A WILL is underrated though, I loved that album, more than SHINE at least LOL.
 
So, moving on to actual news, I assume you'all know that they are gonna release their new album on December 20th? It's called LUV... the name is a bit tacky, but hopefully it'll be a worthy addition to their discography.
 
EDIT: I just remembered something I really hated from A WILL... Why, oh WHY did they felt the need to auto tune Ryuichi's voice on Metamorphosis??? Auto tuning Ryuichi's voice is like taking the most beautiful girl of the class and cover her face with a BALZAC paper bag wtf. Worst moment of their discography, gotta say :C

Yup, I completely understand all of this. I personally draw the line at Nazi music (Störkraft, Landser etc., if you know any of those).
Dunno how I would react if any of the artists I like turn out to be rapists or something alike. Luckily, it hasn't happened so far... I think.
But I definitely make a distinction between music and artist. I'd even go as far as saying "I like them as musicians, but not as humans".
But defending someone's vile actions because you like the artist is just plain wrong (like Chris Brown fans or those mumble rapper fans do, for example).

Or they don't understand or read Japanese so they don't understand the ins and outs involving the scene. Crazy I know. 
 
Or they have trouble differentiating between fact and rumor. Tanuki threads for example. 

I'm half and half with this. I'm sure there are people who would love to bring Kisaki down and bandmen are surrounded by women as malicious as them sometimes. But on the other hand, Kisaki has shown over and over that he's scum and I don't wanna doubt the pictures and accusations, especially when Japan's credibility on women who need help in abusive situations is minuscule. I'm more on her side and hope there can be an investigation and she and the kid can get help and go as far away from him as possible. 

It's worrying to me that some peoples first thought is 'oh noh muh music!!!!!'
do you not have any sympathy for this little girl?? or her mother? or any other people he's mistreated??
 
I've always hated Kisaki, thought he was an overdramatic attention seeker; but knowing he does this is shocking
he's disgusting and I hope he rots in prison.

Kisaki's influence in VK goes far beyond only the bands he's been in. This guy is the founder of the MATINA and Under Code labels. He has composed music for tons of well known visual kei bands. This shit is really bad for visual kei, really.

well, the authorities still have to take the word of a WOMAN and we all know how that goes in most cases, so I wouldn't be certain about that...

Ik kijk weinig tot geen Nederlandse series en films, maar laatst is Redbad uitgekomen. Michiel de Ruyter moet ook goed zijn. Verder heb je de hele rits aan Carice van Houten films (Zwartboek, Komt een vrouw bij de dokter, Jackie, De gelukkige huisvrouw, etc). 

i find it laughable when someone tries to play grammar nazi "just to help" but it's even funnier when even they can't do it right. smh.
 
believe it or not, there are people who have trouble speaking English; but that makes them all the more intelligent since they can at least communicate in another language other than their own. grammar nazis can eat my ass.

Can people just like what they like instead of trying to call each other out with faux-musical knowledge and passive aggressive statements deriding the musical taste of another? It doesn't matter if one person likes "The Inferno" and the other person does not. We're not all going to like the same things! That's fine! Dir en grey has been around for twenty years and if they retread some old steps or make some songs you aren't going to like, you can live with it.

And don't call out mods to "do their jobs" when we're watching this thread constantly for the actions of three of you. Just because we don't say anything to you doesn't mean we aren't aware. Don't dig yourself a hole you can't climb out of.

Hey everyone!
I'm Miyuki (pen pal name) and I'm new to these forums, but not so new to VK. It's been SO LONG since I listened to it, but it was basically my entire childhood.  I am now 20 years old and it's been (what) 5 (?) years since I actively stopped listening to it (worst mistake ever, lol). Now I tuned back to my old bands and the overwhleming happiness I am getting is beyond unreal. Since I was out of community for so long I wish to find new people to connect with on here and to find new bands to listen to. Right now I'm enjoying Aicle, Spiv States, SuG, Kiryuu, DaizyStripper ( <3 ), Plastic Tree,  DOG in the PWO, LM.C, basically all the 'old' cheerful bands. If anyone wishes to meet someone as eager to listen to happy japanese rock (and obviously admiring and fangirling over band members) as you are here I am! ^__^

Ten years ago today, Spike760 and myself decided that we wanted to start a Japanese Rock forum. After a while of debating, we eventually settled on Tainted World (after the D’espairsRay song of the same name). Frankly, neither one of expected it to last all that long; this would hardly be the first forum that we had run together that didn’t go anywhere. But what started as a fun little project somehow blossomed into an amazing community. The fact that this site still exists after all this time has little to say about Spike and my’s original plan and everything to say about the members here. I thank you from the bottom of my heart for helping build this site into what it is today.
 
While I was one of the key founders of this site, Monochrome Heaven is so much bigger than just me. That became clear to me when we went under the transition from Tainted World to our current name back in 2011. While to really understand why this is so important requires more context, I don’t want to go into a full on history lesson. But since that point, so many members have stepped up and dedicated themselves to this site, putting in the time and effort (and money) into making Monochrome Heaven as great as it possibly can be.
 
To every member that has joined and felt like they were apart of a community over this silly niche interest we all have, I raise a glass to you. You all are what have made this place special. And to every staff member, current and past, no words can express my thanks to you - you are people that I have come to admire and consider good friends.
 
But this post isn’t about me, but about the Monochrome Heaven! I want to hear from all of you as to why this community is special, why you’ve becoming coming back for 10 months or 10 years. Or tell us one of your favorite moments from your time coming, whether that was a release you were looking for forever or a stupid meme that took over the forum.

Thanks a lot guys for taking the time to read my post and reply. It's true, they have been very busy with their own solo stuff this year, celebrating their own anniversaries and stuff. I recognize we're lucky they're still making music and I'm  just grateful they're  putting out a new album period. I look forward to hearing what sound they bring this time. Maybe i'll get lucky and things will work out next year somehow for me to see them. It'll be a nice surprise if they do a few extra shows than usual next year. Maybe they'll do another world tour at some point too, with several stops this time so @Danao and others get the chance to see them^^

Luna Sea is probably releasing another album to show Yoshiki that it's really not that hard. 

their solo careers have always been different from luna sea though, so I don't see how one could draw a conclusion on the new album based on what the members are doing on their own?
 
they still produced lunacy when J was doing his weird punk-ish stuff, inoran doing his alternative-rock thingy, and ryuichi became a popidol for grandmoms.
 
but yes, you shouldn't expect a new "mother" or "style" that's for sure. 

I don't know about SOME guys, but my aim is very good thank you very much. As for putting the lid down, I dunno.. I do that, but living with woman will burn that into your brain.
