  1. Ever heard of Derren Brown? Well, maybe starting off this magician topic with Brown is more than expected or just wrong? He's a mentalist and illusionist, and his tricks can be very big and dramatic. He's always getting better and better, a really clever and cool guy. I remember watching Magic's Biggest Secrets Finally Revealed and it was always fun trying to figure it out before they showed you how they did it. Also, this bae down here. Thanks for making TV worth it as a kid, man. Feel free to post seriously presented tricks or fails/stupid ones too, or even show yourself doing it, that's a thought! Maybe try to avoid anything bloody or with serious consequences in it. You know what I'm talking about.
  2. There's plenty of random sh!t we've already heard and seen from Japan. If you're looking for anything to cure your boredom, make a stop here for some whacktastic goodness. Check out the two countdown lists below for examples. I don't know how familiar others are with the shows shown outside of Japan, but Takeshi's Castle and Ninja Warrior have been broadcasts for what seems like years over here. They deserve a comment on here for the bundle of laughs they can get out of you. Especially Takeshi's Castle, oh my god. :'D Ninja Warrior is more nail biting once contestants keep getting through the rounds. Alas, I cannot locate any YT video with Dick & Dom being the voice-overs. Perfection was hit with the Reboot, trust me. I do have some more weirder and nsfw vids to share but I'm curious if anyone else has graced those truly Internet necessary clips, lol.
  3. Warning: May include offensive language. Surely everyone has got a funny bone when it comes to certain comedians. Who are your favourites? Or maybe someone's favourite is someone you absolutely loathe? So what's your kind of comedy when it comes to other people who do this for a living? This is the thread centered around those celebrities who have made a name of themselves thanks to their humor. I'll admit it from the get go, I find British humor the funniest, and it's what I often watch (you'll find those sources of entertainment next to the comedian's names). That's something we can discuss, but firstly, here's a few favourites of mine for example. Charlie Brooker (Charlie Brooker's Weekly Wipe) Frank Skinner, Romesh Ranganathan and Greg Davies (Taskmaster and Mock the Week) Frankie Boyle (Mock the Week, Tramadol Nights and Live stand up) Harry Hill (Harry Hill's TV Burp) Karl Pilkington (The Moaning of Life) Noel Fielding and Julian Barratt (The Mighty Boosh) Chris O'Dowd, Katherine Parkinson, Matt Berry and Richard Aoyade (The IT Crowd) Simon Amstell (Never Mind The Buzzcocks) Stewart Francis (Live) https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=zowhHy8xhx4 Miranda Hart (Miranda) https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=mlziF18O4rk David Mitchell and Lee Mack (Would I Lie to You?) https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=yZT4Oi5pzg0 Honorable mentions: Ben Miller, Dawn French, Graham Norton, Jack Dee, Joanna Lumley

Thanks very much for the recommendations. I might just give into try emulators for the PS2 games so that I can get them out of the way before getting to 5. There's so many games to get to! I have gotten hold of the 3DS installment of Xenoblade Chronicles but... but I have no new 3DS. : > Hopefully will be able to experience possibly the most well received RPG game on the Wii. There's only two games for the new 3DS, right? I can't believe I didn't think before paying so much for that. X'D 'd love to be able to get to Pandora's Tower and The Last Story too. The other Wii exclusive JRPGs. Anyone tried these? I wish I could get to Nier too but the price on PS3 for it has just skyrocketed! Might have to just give in to the Xbox game for it... I'd say anything with RPG elements in them counts, so Dark Souls for sure. Feel free to discuss anything revolving around RPGs, that means SRPGs, yep. FF12 really reminds me of The Last Remnant on Xbox. The whole open world is done almost exactly like FF12, if not totally, so I'd suggest this Xbox game just for that factor. I haven't gotten that far into FF12, but I adore the characters in it, and had no idea it wasn't so popular with others. I have started both and wish to complete both games at some point. This is the case for every FF title for me apart from the XIII trilogy, lol. Valkyria Chronicles is such a classic, I really need to get to the second, PSP game of it even if I'm taking years to finish the first one. Was there ever an Europe release for the third one? Hopefully we get that latest installment! This is news to me, I'm so going to cave in and end up buying that instead of continuing the play through on the PS2 like I did with FF10, urg. Also, wanted to post about Child Of Light, which is another stand out of recent years. So beautiful and addicting, I really can't think of any faults for it other than it feeling like a free game but even that gives it a special charm to it.

  17. This thread is aimed at both western RPGs and JRPGs. This can be from classics, to old hidden gems to the modern lot we either love or hate. Seeing as this has recently been voted as Japan's favourite genre, surely we've got some RPG lovers in the house too. Please note anything Western and Japanese is fine, including sub-genres like SRPG/TRPG. I'm personally super interested in Persona 5. I've only got Persona Arena and I didn't do my research before purchasing it since I, quite frankly, find arcade games to be a bore. Persona 5 looks more up my alley, and I'm planning to play Persona 4 whenever I have the chance. Kingdom Hearts 3 and Final Fantasy XV are the other two expected shout outs in this thread, I'm sure. With the recently announced Ni No Kuni 2, that's definitely on my watch list. Now I just need to get my own PS4... Moving on to games I've enjoyed playing that aren't upcoming, I hold Bravely Default close to my heart for its pretty art and simple yet addicting battle style. I'm very much a fan of the Nintendo for its classy RPG titles, and that certainly goes for Fire Emblem too. Adore Awakening (and totally pumped for Fates ofc!). I recently got Golden Sun and Heroes of Mana (probably the worst game of the franchise knowing me..) that are both for the DS and sounded promising so I'm excited seeing how they play out. I've been trying out more titles on the PSP and Xbox too (getting onto the Wii in due time), and I'm excited when I can get my hands on Half Minute Hero and many more other PSP titles I've heard are worth a go with. I'm loving how Lost Odyssey and Infinite Undiscovery are getting on, but I've only recently started them and are the only Xbox ones I got with my RPG Xbox bundle I think are worth mentioning at the moment. For some oldies (to an extent), Luminous Arc is my selection for the hidden gem franchise, and Avalon Code for my obscure pick. I was lucky enough to have gotten both LA games as a kid and still love them to this day. I still find it surprising I can handle the graphics, and while I'd love to get to classics like Final Fantasy's earlier works (in which I have tried a few for a few weeks at a time), this is still a barrier for me. Anyone else feel me? AC looked pretty to me, and it's got one of the best looking systems I've ever had the pleasure to play. I can't leave out Rune Factory Frontier either, since that is so addicting. Forget about Harvest Moon, the Rune Factory series wins it for appeal all round. So what are you favourite titles in the RPG genre? Any you're looking forward to? Any obscure ones you care to share?

The banter between our eye candy and her beloved served head is beautiful. 10/10. Fight me.

Mink (Dramatical Murder) Badou Nails (Dogs: Bullets & Carnage) Teresa (Claymore) Iva (Karneval) There's too many husbandos and waifus out there... Video game wise... Fire Emblem: Awakening's Gaius and Libra, and Valkyria Chronicles' Edy and Ramona.
  20. A classic was calling for me.

Been having fun with Ace Attorney, the first game, that I got for Christmas. Bit sad that it's got only five cases, I'm flying through it. Got a bunch of Xbox 360 games too, which is new to me, I've been strictly a PlayStation player forever, but seeing Xbox exclusive games made me give in finally. Just added even more RPG related games to my shopping basket for the original Xbox, urg, halp...

Tried Treasure Planet yesterday for dinner. Hadn't tried a movie while eating a meal in a long time. It was a pleasant surprise, I've only been repeating old Disney movies I had watched as a kid but nothing I missed the chance in doing so, and that pains me when it comes to TP. It was a worthwhile movie but I doubt I'd bother watching it again unlike Disney ones I've watched for years. I bet I would've held it closer to me if I had tried it as a child when it came out. ;; Such depressing self.
