  1. 80's shoulder pads are the greatest.

It's possible the kids of 2040 will be even more confused when looking at the casual modern day "fashion" styles than the ridiculous 80's outfits to be honest. By that time the 80's might be super cool again because it'll be seen as the major influence on the 2040's while the 10's might be the theatre they laugh at.

    Who knows.

And Mick Jagger in 80's clothes still looks better than any visual kei youngster today.

I think it's a good thing if we can laugh at past fashion trends, because then at least it would be amusing and could compensate for lack of musical talent or general appeal, as well as make you stand out (unlike some bands of today) :hehe:

  2. ^ Twenty years from now, you'll laugh at today's sense of fashion when you look back at it. It's just how clothing works, since it became so normal for people to wear clothes, there's been judgemental views on it ever since.

So what if it will look ridiculous in twenty years time? Fashions are changing, but certain trends tend to come back every time. Even so I don't think the 80's were an example of good taste in general. Thus I'll reserve my right to joke at its expense.

  3. Sometimes, looking at 80s artists (such as The Rolling Stones for exmple) I wonder if those people were deliberately wearing clothes that were two sizes bigger than them and hanging loose like some trashbag. I'm seriously having a hard time not to laugh watching Mick Jagger swaying his ass in those godawful outfits. I doubt I'll ever understand the 80's fashion sense... lol I think I just got an idea for a new thread.

  4. For me their most memorable songs will always remain hakuchuumu and hakana hana. Although I do love some of the later music as well. But nothing quite compares to that feel for me. And I just adore that kind of jazzy stuff, which really compliments Yoshihiko's voice and they do so well.

I still can't take it out. The layout probably uses css that brings the header image from another website or something.

The links don't open either - says forbidden.

  6. Does anyone know if there's a way to save header images from ameba blogs? Or is it blocked in some way? I was trying to find the image url in the code but didn't see it anywhere. But I'd really like to use that pic for a drawing ref so I'd be happy for some help.

  7. Thought this would be the appropriate place to drop this. I've recently discovered these guys on youtube while looking for some background music. They're doing this mix of ambient, downtempo and psytrance which I really love. They always provide an interesting listen for me, and never get boring. Also I really like their themes/album arts.

  8. Blood type is relevant because in Japan blood type is treated as astrological signs in the west. In other words, they are written for the japanese fans, not western. So let's say "X" blood type is said to go well with "Y" for example, then the fan can fantasize about actually going together well (in a relationship) with that bandman.

Talking to Japanese people you will often hear "what blood type are you" and stuff like that, because there are certain treats that is said to be in that specific blood type (cheap, kind, faithful etc). Hope it makes sense lol

How come the western producers who put boybands together never thought of this?
