suji 8317 Posted February 6, 2019 Bass players tend to elude me cuz I don't really hear it often (probably because I'm a granny & my ears have a low attention span esp when it comes to music) Tetsu from MERRY is pretty great as well, and I'm looking forward to hearing more bass from the one in Rands, lost his name ;w; Not to mention that Shunsuke (Marco) sounds pretty good sometimes~ Other than that, those are the ones I can think of from the top of my head. To everyone else: Who is your favorite bass player? 1 DeborahArena reacted to this
Manji 卍 743 Posted February 6, 2019 Koichi from mejibray definitely know how to slap a bass. Hisame from grieva made some very creative and catchy basslines on many tracks, and of course, Toshiya from diru, he's brutal. 1 DeborahArena reacted to this
monkeybanana4 1732 Posted February 6, 2019 For bass players, I enjoy listening to Rame from Vidoll/BGFN and Jasmine from Versailles (RIP). Both bring out great music and sick beats. Also, liked Yuuto's catchy bass playing (Screw, Liraizo). 2 Masato and DeborahArena reacted to this

God 264 Posted February 6, 2019 I’ve always really dug how Reita plays, even tho I’m not that big on Gazette tbh. Something about his style is really cool to me. 1 DeborahArena reacted to this
juuichi 27 Posted February 6, 2019 unf yukke from mucc, only because of his slap bass. if anyone knows any other (vk) bassists who do slapping please let me know codomo dragon has some videos of men-men teaching bass in their songs. these have some slapping 1 DeborahArena reacted to this
plastic_rainbow 2162 Posted February 6, 2019 lots of good bassists out there but i've always been very fond of the complex basslines by tsunehito (scissor, D) and naoki (jinkaku radio, the beethoven) can't forget about yukke (mucc) either 1 DeborahArena reacted to this

Lereku 717 Posted February 6, 2019 Reika of D=OUT and Yuura of Kra with Tsunehito (scissor, D) and Naoki (jinkaku radio, the beethoven) these are the best bass players, theirs bass lines are very complex and difficult, unlike many bassists they don't only follow the rhythm guitar or the drums, their sense of groove is amazing and even if you use headphone or earphone of medium quality the bass is still audible. 16 hours ago, juuichi said: . if anyone knows any other (vk) bassists who do slapping please let me know They are not vk bassists : - KenKen (Rize, Dragon Ash) - Hinata Hidekazu (Straightener, Nothing's Carved In Stone) - F Chopper Koga (Gacharic Spin) - Ue-chan (Maximum the Hormone) - Ikuo ( BULL ZEICHEN 88, Rayflower) 2 DeborahArena and juuichi reacted to this

MidnightJaguar 5 Posted March 17, 2019 Not really VK but Cö Shu Nie's bassist Shunsuke Matsumoto (松本駿介) does some absolutely gnarly things I've never heard on a track before. Bump asphyxia and supercell, those songs have absolutely wild bass work. 1 DeborahArena reacted to this

Komorebi 2193 Posted March 22, 2019 While they are not necessary my favorite noodles, Tsunehito and Reita are definitely among the best, they are super skilled. Now, favorites regardless of complexity and techniques and whatnot... Akinori and Boogie. Nao from Kagrra, and Hati from 9GBO are on my list too.
