Hard to tell but seems like zikiru is in a new band, not sure who anyone else
Judging by the little video they posted a couple hours ago, they look charismatic as hell live. Granted there's no vocals and it does sound pretty generic.

In no surprise to anyone, Hiroto has withdrawn from the band. In a statement on twitter, they said they finally contacted him and he's safe, but he has no motivation for musical activities anymore and found it a hindrance to be with the band. Nero and Seiya have said they will continue as a two-person project and apologize for any inconvenience this has provided.

Am feeling like there is hope after listening to the samples that the album will be decent after hearing how lack lustre "Ignite" is, definitely got some more of the usual good stuff that you'd expect with this band. Really liking the sound of "Edifice" so far as well so look forward to checking out the full version when my copy arrives.
They did show it off and it's just the boys' faces. So I'm good ... Sena himself recommended pre-ordering from Disc Union.

It seems he didn't just try to jump from the balcony, but also walked onto the highway to end his life during tour. This is rough stuff. Japan has got to start accepting that depression is a serious illness and not something that one can just "get over."

I'm not surprised at all. He hasn't been in any of the band's "music videos" and got married quite a while ago. I am surprised it took this long for them to post about it, though.

This is their most normal jacket art yet!

I speak Japanese and my girlfriend is a native, so I understand the relevance of the vocalist's lack of keigo, but here's a tip: don't take pictures at live shows, period. Just enjoy the live. Do I think Mio probably shouldn't have addressed it? Sure. But I think that your friend's reaction was just as petty as Mio's impolite speech.

I like the bonus of a different cover I can always see on my shelf rather than a comment DVD I'll only watch once. But I would really rather support the smaller VK shops.

Plus his live performance not that great either.......
At first, I was thinking "this isn't bad ..." and then about halfway through he got winded and super pitchy, let alone very little stage presence. I won't judge his live potential on just that video though.

Damn. Only five bands? My musical taste is all over the place, so that's going to be difficult ... but I'll limit it only to Japanese artists for the sake of the thread and this forum.

my wet dream is Keita joining them and Katsuya making use of the dual vocals like he did in Misanthropist
my heart wouldn't handle such awesomeness
I agree that I feel like there should be some harsh vocals, but if Keita joined them, SLOTHREAT would essentially just be Misanthropist.

The Tower Records reservation bonus is a different slipcover. I wonder what it is, but I want to support Laika or little hearts ...

Well their drummer certainly isn't shy about letting people know that he is still the drummer. Im gonna go on a guess and say no one else left either lmao
Call me crazy, though, but nobody in the new photos look like him.

They tweeted "to protect the privacy of the support members, their names will not be released."

Either it's full of a load of generic stuff and people will lose interest or it'll be just as wicked as always (minus ignite) and people will be pleasantly surprised. Got to admit I didn't expect Ignite to be included on the mini album, seems a bit irrelevant that they released it on its own now.
It may be a slightly different version of Ignite (like they did with Ajna or Hellraiser). Plus, I'm sure they didn't plan on having the single being sold to the masses (and not a live-limited) when the EP itself was announced and planned.

Not bad! I liked the BtBaM-esque high scream part, but the drums still sound programmed. The cymbals aren't sustained enough to sound realistic.

Ikebukuro RUIDO K3 announced on their OHP that they would be shutting down at the end of August due to the influence of COVID-19. Their twitter has been suspended, though in their announcement, they state "for more information after 09/01, reference https://twitter.com/revoice_music," which states "From September 5, 2020, live house "Ikebukuro Revoice" will open at the site of Ikebukuro RUIDO K3! 160 people.
It seems to me like this is a change in ownership and whether or not they will continue to cater to VK bands is to be seen, but DEVILOOF's Daiki seems be pretty disappointed in RUIDO's closing. He says that he's seeing a decline in the scene because bands are disbanding, but no new ones are forming (probably due to the pandemic) and is scared to think there will be fewer and fewer venues for bandmen to play.
EDIT
Looks like the same goes for Shinjuku RUIDO K4 ... They'll close at the end of September and a new venue named Shinjuku WALLY will open in its place in October.
