Oh boy I have SO much to say about this...I'll try to run down my thoughts while watching the PV:
 
-not digging the intro/build up to the chorus, the songwriting seems decent enough but the production feels so? chunky? it's hard to discern anything idk how to describe it
-their look is really cool, I like it a lot, but I can't help but hate on the "they have a girl captive" trope, it's so tired
-once the chorus hit, I actually really started to like the song. It's a great chorus!
-as always, I love Sui's voice :') I'm biased tho, I used to LOVE Megaromania
-why is she stripping him
-OHHHH RIGHT, I forgot the entire theme of this band is vampires, hence "(Dra)cula." Honestly, I have to give it to them. This is an aesthetic level of vampire-kei I personally haven't seen before lol (idk if this style has been done before or not) but usually vampire-kei is like, Versailles ~roses~ level so this is kind of cool
-this is actually pretty legit, the PV seems professional and the editing seems good
-lmao nevermind, take a look at those bootleg wings(?)
-anyway I would have been obsessed with this in 2009 that's for sure, so it has my stamp of approval. SUI queen slay etc.

I watch Ephemeral Rift too sometimes! His ASMR Asylum series is really great!

ASMR is admittedly weird but I somehow enjoy it from time to time.

Instead of having the scene go around appropriating gimmicks I'd just rather have it go back to what it used to be. It's not like anything has happened in rock music in over ten years other than metalcore dying and a collective turning back the clock to feed on nostalgia, which then as a result synthesised what he have now with our impression of the past. It happened in vk too sort of with nu-metal coming back and bands getting darker and edgier, but it petered out finally once AINS was gone and now what we got is r-fucking-shitei and raido cutting themselves in music videos. The best thing that I could hope for is bands like that we got with that wave but just better, and with more (post-)punk and definitely less metal. I think a lot of band guys miss this old school attitude and music too from what I can tell from interviews, and yet they seem to be hopelessly inept in realising it. I guess they can want what they want but if the gya ain't buying it, they ain't going to do it. And since we're here I wouldn't mind something going were bands like La'cryma christi, Luna Sea, L'arc and Eins:Vier were going at their most ambitious but this will never happen.
 
Either way I want something darker, visceral and ambitious done with the genre's already existing foundations instead of some fucking flavor of the month metal gimmick. I mean come on that's just terrible.

I had the impression the new singles were going to be continuing the new arc of the Emigre storyline, since he played some of them last night and will play more here and there on the upcoming tour. In Sang, the Emigre energy source system as introduced by Louis and the Count Saint Germain avoided a lot of social problems in Japan by limiting applicants to senior citizens. In this new arc, from the concert & pamphlet last night, the USA is about to implement the Emigre system, but enrollment is compulsory. Just before the law is officially ratified, the DOE secretary and his wife are mysteriously assassinated. Now some vigilant NSA agents are investigating. What will they discover? Tune in to the next live to find out... (I can’t go though)
 
One of the new songs, like Eye of Providence, is in a symphonic metal style. There was another one that had a kind of similar vibe to Ecstasy, with a steady, powerful, sexy rhythm; but where Ecstasy has a lot of electronic elements layered in the arrangement, this unreleased one is more of a straightforward 4-member rock band sound. (Edit: at the end of this one, flashpots exploded on stage as the car bomb assassination happened in the story. So, that kind of song.) The last unreleased song was a ballad.

Well, she won't have to work too much on that to be honest 🤣
