Super neat collection! Also I love the way you organized everything. Kudos for the Homer homage, lol.

@-NOVA- at first i was thinking if i should "handle" them with my normal CDs since basically except for FEVER 333 everything in my collection is japanese but then i was like screw it... XD

@monkeybanana4 thanks! took me tons of hours to make everything the way i want it and i still have a few ideas to implement but for now i thought this is the right time to film the video cuz otherwise i know i would've pushed it back for forever eventually cuz if you have such a big room only dedicated to your biggest hobby you always find something that could be slightly better etc.^^°

  3. new package got shipped today.

so the new HOLY GRAIL of my Brutal kei collection will arrive within the next 4-10 days! -excited- 8D

  4. not Vk but i gotta mention them cuz holy shit they blew my mind when i found out about them yesterday. the band is "FEVER 333" and OMG their song BURN IT is AMAZING - super catchy, great lyrics and these 3 guys are so energetic live you really need to watch 'em on yt!

Awesome! They kind of remind me of a more modern version of Rage Against The Machine.

  5. Oh well here we go again...

Live houses opened and immediately Bands announce new Live Limited Stuff. It sucks ass to be back at this again but i totally understand it since its the best way to draw an audience to your lives.

Although i gotta admit when it comes to being total "collector scum" like some People call it, its always an amazing feeling to score some live Limited Stuff.

Also it felt kinda depressing even as an oversea fan when you see some Vk Band opening up some Webshop where they sell a Live Limited CD and still they aren't even able to sell 10 copies within a week.

Made me wonder how there can be so many Vk Bands around when probably 70% barely make any Profit off of it.

Anyway done with the rant... 😅

I agree with Zeus that it doesn't bother me as much. Most bands I still listen to have stopped doing them, and now I just avoid new bands that do. Keeps me in a bubble, but it's a wallet-saving bubble~

    2. TheTrendkiller

      TheTrendkiller

Selling copies in live only is a lot less hassle for the bands. Getting your CD into retail stores, webshops etc is very costly. So this way they don't need to be worried to be left with a huge pile of unsold CD's.

    3. VkBrutaliaN

      VkBrutaliaN

      @Seimeisen

Definitely agree about the wallet saving thing and in general thats probably the smartest thing one can do but unfortunately that doesn't Work for me since i'm a huge sucker for new Bands... XD

  6. ONLY 5 more days until ORCALADE's 1st minialbum drops!

I have very high expectations for this release - can't wait! ;D

  7. please serious answers only but i am really wondering why it seems like no one here on MH seems to care for the band DictavE?

they make really great music so i am really just curious why that is cuz compared to other heavy Vk bands which get enough recognition i don't see any authoritative difference.... Ôó

Update: I just tried the song "All Alone" and personally, I'm not a fan, but I can definitely see how it'd appeal to some people. Their music style is very rhythmic, which I actually kind of like.

I'm also not big on synths unless it's the chiptune influenced ones like Metronome or Taiheiyou Belt, but I do like how the synths in one part of the song are taking from "In the hall of the mountain king", and I think a lot of other people would find that pretty cool.

The only criticism I really have is the vocals, but even then, I've heard much worse.

So in all, for me, it's just a personal matter of taste, but I definitely think a lot of other people could get into them.

    3. karai · ebi

      karai · ebi

Just gave them a spin...tried Munchausen Syndrome, Last Dance, and all alone.

Their growls aren't really my flavor, for me kind of just...there. Like the feeling I get when I try out random Swede or Danish bands, it's not bad it just is what it is not sure how to word it. Passionless screaming/growling? I don't know lol. I always want something new or that has lots of ups and downs, one tone won't do it for me.

I do dig the ''In the Hall of the Mountain King'' bit, but everything around it wasn't for me (and I already like the original tune as itself so I don't think it can count lol). Vocalists regular voice doesn't bother me too much though.

But I'm mad picky. I culled 900 songs from assorted albums into 140 songs over a two day period one time.

@AimiGen7thanks for checking them out! thats exactly why i was asking cuz i also think normally their "should" be more people to like them but maybe they are so unspoken of that no one cares to check 'em out unfortunately. about the vocals i love mizki vocals - he has such a great range but of course especially with vocals peoples opinion will differ A LOT!^^

@karai · ebithanks a lot for checking them out and giving your opinion as well!^^

  8. RAZOR 1st minialbum is a perfect 10/10!

sick music, amazing shreds, the vocals everything about this release is perfect! so even if you weren't a fan of Born (like myself) you still need to listen to this by all means!!!

  9. RIBELIO's 『虐』 is definitely their very best release yet!

just wondering when they'll finally release the pv for 『虐』now that i've seen the offshot footage for it...

  10. Seems like DictavE my favorite Vk Band ever is going to disband on 01.08.2019.

    FML! >.>

  11. small preview of my Visual kei room *working on it since late april*

and trust me it'll look so awesome once i am completely done! - current progress count: ~ 60% finished...

    https://picload.org/image/rpliwpdi/134.jpg

i even put some cardboard behind the individual pictures to get some sort of 3D effect you can't see unfortunately on the picture but trust me it looks sick! 8D

@Kiryu999All my CDs are in alphabetical order.^^

and *because i have a few more shelves* at the end of the cluster i have all new bought CDs in a row with the CD artwork showing in the front.

also stuff that needs to be finished until i'm done:

      * buying frames because i'll have chosen a separate wall were i will hang up only my signed posters/towels

      * getting a glass vitrine cabinet were i'll put only my rarest CDs out of my collection in it to display

      * and a few other little things i am currently not 100% sure how to do it/i'ff i'll end up reallising to do it... XD

and because it still needs quite some time to finish *and a bit of money* i'll hope to finish everything up around December and then i want to film a full roomtour which I'll upload to youtube - so thats the plan for now. ;D

  12. small thing huge impact!

so happy i bought these little "helpers" cuz seriously displaying your must beloved/rare CDs in your collection like this looks simply SICK! 8D

    666.jpg

  13. soon i'll reach another milestone within my CD collection - always a great feeling seeing the collection grow.

although when you've got a whole room only dedicated to your beloved Vk stuff my collections looks kinda small now... XD

  14. that feeling when you searched for almost 2 hours for some new bands and it pays off at the end!

these 2 japanese hardcore bands are really amazing.  8D

if you like bands like: A Soulless Pain, Justice for Reason, May Silence Prevail us etc. you should definitely check them out! ;D

  15. this is srsly the best rapping i've heard in a while by raggae artist APOLLO

  16. This year was pretty successfull. Was able to obtain 2 of my most wanted Vk CDs by coincidence.

Its always such an unbelievable feeling when it happens! 8D

      Awesome, congrats~! ^_^

  17. To make it official: JILUKA's 1st full length Metamorphose as an absolute Brutal系 essential!!

its most likely the most brutal and technical release ever done by a Vk band as of now and every song is perfect in every single way.

great electronics in some songs, and Ricko got some new "moves" as well. ;D like he does some pigsqueals for the first time (i think) although only just in the first few songs and some of his growls got a quite guttural tone to them which is sick!

and although i was kinda worried about the last song i only can say its a beautiful masterpiece as well - will definitly have that song on repeat for days too!

      Komorebi

I absolutely agree with everything here.

Even Petrichor is lit, and I love it because it shows they aren't afraid to do something different and release it on an album.

Hands down best album of the year for me.

    3. VkBrutaliaN

      VkBrutaliaN

absolutely!^^ just not sure yet if i'd put DIMLIM's or JILUKA's first full length on my number 1 spot for album of the year as of now...

  18. today i created the most epic framed DIMLIM picture EVER!!...

but unfortunately i can't show it yet because its not hanging on my wall but once i hung it up i'll probably post a picture of it at my twitter account...

current update for my Vk room: probably ~ 70% done...

super happy with the current outcome.

  19. today i finally hit a new milestone of 900 CDs - at 1000 i can finally stop this shit...

    ...not really! ;D

      VkBrutaliaN

not sure if you got the sarcasm in my comment but i only buy stuff i like - and thats how i do it since i started in early 2009.^^

but i can totally rely on your last sentence. i got a whole room only dedicated to my Vk stuff and 2 shelves functioning solely as display cabinets for me TOP ULTRA RARE FAV CDs. etc.^^

I was joking as well, haha, I just thought it was funny how you counted the numbers in that way so I thought I'd give people who ACTUALLY use that kind of logic some good advice.

  20. today i listened to the last CD i bought while i was in tokyo (and i am back since june 4th)...

it was シュヴァルツカイン 1st full length Complex - such a great album.

oh well only got VRZEL's 1st live DVD left to watch and then back to "normal" Vk life - which means lots of waiting until something new comes in from the postman.... XD

  21. today i reached another milestone within my Vk collection with 1000 CDs.

DAMN, a bit over 10 years of hardcore collecting! ~   ;D

    1. VkBrutaliaN

      VkBrutaliaN

      thanks. ;D

since i started listening to Vk it just keeps getting better and better without exception so there's still many CDs to come to make the collection grow even more in the future.

although i'd say i have only room for about another maybe 1000-1500 CDs tops and then i am out of room again but luckily that means i should be at least safe for the next 8-10 years anyway... XD

    2. xriko

have you writed your collection somewhere? you should have pretty stuff 😛

    3. VkBrutaliaN

      VkBrutaliaN

@xriko i do actually have a list were i write everything down but its not 100% up to date since i changed from many word files to one big excel sheet and probably a lot of CDs i obrained within my first 1-2 years of being a Vk fan are missing in the list so its not very accurate... XD

  22. today i was at zepp tokyo and i saw R指定/アルルカン/DIAURA/DEZERT/NOCTURNAL BLOODLUST/MEJIBRAY and all of them were AMAZING live!

got myself a pretty sick looking towel of NOCTURNAL BLOODLUST which they haven't even listed at the "goods" section on their OHP.

but as good the lives were the reality hit pretty hard after the concert. cuz while leaving the hall and going back to the station it was like curb crawling.

like srsly at least 10-15 indies Vk bandguys trying to hand out flyers after the concert to promote themselfes and because i and my wife obviously don't look like japanese we were totally ignored cuz logigally we aren't the main target they aim for... japanese young girls...... - OUCH! that hurt my heart a tiny little bit tonight....^^°

  23. wow CDjapan just really screwed me over... pre-ordered まみれた - 死因:わからん on 13.03.2018 already, so way over a month before the actual release date and still today i received an email that they cancelled the CD from my order... WOW!!...

don't even wanna know how many people's order got cancelled or if they eventually not even fullfilled one single order of the CD...

    1. ricchubunny

      ricchubunny

They're just trying to stop you to support a DEZERT copycat. I'd the same.

Jokes apart this sucks, did you contact them?

    2. VkBrutaliaN

      VkBrutaliaN

nope, since it would be nothing but pointless but this is what they wrote for those who wanna know and have a quick laugh... Oô

"Unfortunately, the item proved to be unobtainable. After accepting the order, the supplier needed to consider making additional quantity available because the item was no longer available in their inventory. However, they have now come to a decision to discontinue the item. So, it will not become available again and it needed to be canceled from your order.

      We apologize for the inconvenience."

    3. VkBrutaliaN

      VkBrutaliaN

@karai · ebi just found out there are still a very few indie vk shops left who had restocked the CD so i already could order another copy for the original price which this time hopefully i won't receive an cancellation email within the next few days... but thanks for your tip!

  24. yesterday i finally finished up my room and filmed the long overdue Visual kei roomtour.

well its far from perfect since today it was all rainy so lightening could be better but aside from that i think the overall outcome is OK.

so expect an upload on yt by the end of next week. ;D

*unless i decide to drop it last minute...*

  25. yesterday i finally got the time to listen to DEVILOOF's first full length for the first time *by now i listened to it 4 times completely* and i love it - imo they didn't changed that much to their sound - and about that few singing parts - still i really like them cuz the more variety the better.

thats why i started listening to Vk - don't need a band were every single song sticks to the same genre - gets boring quite fast.
