Wasn't this actually DaizyStripper's alter ego band? Why adding four members and keeping just one of the original ones?
Seems like they re-record World End.
I had hoped for new songs by the actual lineup and not new members and just a re-recording.

I was super hyped but now I'm meh about this.

I'm prob the only one here who cares about this, but L&DS will be reviving for 2 lives in Feb/Mar next year! Everyone except Kru will be there

The band will release a new mini album via Itunes ! (5 songs). 0801弐209XX6 have disbanded three years ago.
 

 

Coming from a superfan I don't think I'm going to change any opinions here, but:
 
1) DADAROMA's style has been largely consistent since their formation with a balance of alt-rock, deathcore, 'dark pop' and jazzy numbers. People picking and choosing tracks they don't like as an argument for a change in musical direction have clearly not listened to very much of the band's work thoroughly.
 
2) Judging a new release from a 30-second clip is, and has always been, a waste of time because you can never tell what the full track will be like. Case in point from this very band, zouka to kalashnikov chose a section near the end of the song with only clean vocals for the preview, but it turned out to have brutal breakdowns and screams too.
 
TLDR, nothing so far is a 'departure' from DDRM's established style, and don't judge any music before hearing the whole thing.

I'm doing the same thing. I regret listening to the preview for DOGMA. Not that long to wait anyways.

I'm not listening to anything until the album is out. I'm going in with no expectations, that always works out for me.

i thought the announcement was pretty ridiculous at first, too. but then i realized that a large chunk of their audience are people who WILL freak out if they don't hear any announcements/see any activity on social media for a couple weeks without an explanation, and being considerate of that audience makes a lot of sense.

Tbh I'm glad he made the post, and that he put it in concrete terms. I've always found that side interesting, but haven't had much view into it, aside from talks with unreliable ex-bangya and the odd foreign vk bandman.
 
I do think it's hilarious that so many girls piled onto him for “not doing it for the art,” when vk (and maybe Japanese music in general) is such a commodified, commercially driven enterprise. Where's the anger at Kiryu for releasing 8 types of one single? Why do you support cheki sales which are inherently valueless and exist only to obscure the direct transfer of bangya funds to bandmen? If this is just art, why is that only bands with beautiful members go major? Why is it acceptable that someone in a hardcore deathmetal band can come back two months later in a dokidoki “you're our sixth member ♡” osare band and no one gives him shit? Those practices don't bother me personally--I don't mind artists making a living--but I love the nerve of some of those fans to accuse him of being morally bankrupt when they happily throw their parents' money at any skinny dude who walks on stage with a mic.
 
So yeah, props from me for the Left Eye moment, but also lol at all of Japan crucifying him (as he should have expected). Double lol at Reita, a guy who's lived comfortably off remaking the same 3 mediocre songs for a decade, chiming in. I'd much rather hear the opinion of someone who's been playing in Narciss for 10 years with no hope of every making any money--that's someone who knows about doing things for the art.

He still makes a good point about being super hard for indie bands to do it just for art's sake, considering they have to invest a shitload of money in EVERYTHING. Sometimes you just can't keep pulling money out of nowhere just to make art people aren't consuming. 

They've stated that they won't disband (thank gawd!!!)

I'm not to sure why everyone is basing them off of "Oboreru Sakana"... It's a band let them progress how they want to. If you like it buy it if you don't then don't...

Lol at people bringing up "victim blaming" yeah right. No one is asking "what was she wearing?" or saying she deserved to be raped or something. Just questioning if she lied about her age or not because that happens all the time. Statutory rape is not always some violent act and she probably wasn't forced against her will. If the age of consent is 18 in japan and this girl said she was 18 or older then you can't really fault the guy. Maybe she didn't look that young. I've seen 14 year olds who look 18-20 and vice versa. There are men who take every step imaginable to make sure the girls are of age and still get thrown in jail because of fake ID's. So really unless we get the full story I find it difficult to blame anyone.

If some of you guys think they are ridiculous, that they are mediocre, why don't you keep your opinion to you? I doubt someone that like the band is going to enjoy your shit comment here. Not going to talk about the ones trying to be funny/troll that fail hard. Here, is the place for you to comment about this!

Eh, nothing wrong with it being DOGMA leftover whatsoever. It is still part of phases from this era anyway so it is to be understood it sounds similiar.
Besides, just accept the fact this is how Gazette sounds like, it'll be easier to listen to them and we shouldn't always have to discuss this same old subject everytime they release somethings. It is like beting the dead horse, counter productive.

Yes. Because that's where the initial issues began. I remember Reita saying that in the beginning there was a lot of back and fourth-ness going on with how em, music wise when they first signed. At this point, unless someone can prove me otherwise, I don't think PSC really has much of a say of their sound. And it seems that Sony is giving these guys some more breathing room. The band told SONY, while or prior to working on DOGMA that they were NOT Going to release an album immediately after BD. So one can even say that they're putting their foot down and letting things go at their own pace.
 
With that said, I do agree with Danao. This talk of them leaving PSC or Sony, especially with how they seem to really be so enthusiastic with DOGMA, should come to a halt. We could throw these guys back to KING records and they'd still probably pump more or less of the same thing out. They have a style that they enjoy and tweak with and it will not be changing anytime soon. DIM/(insert previous albums before SR) and those eras are gone and will never come back (well...technically they did in those FC live's hahaha). Changing labels won't do a damn thing. I like where they are.

them leaving psc is exactly what most of you are dreaming of, because you think their sound will change to the best if they do, but why would it change ? they seem to really enjoy what they did with DOGMA and this whole new era/ Their sound could change, but not to go back to what they did in the past
 
most of you are just hoping they will go back to some NIL/DIM sound but it's been too long now, I think they moved on, and what could be a new OHP is another step to move on from what they did in the past
 
I mean look at the setlist from the new tour, there's not as many old songs as they used to put
 
Anyway, I like how they are atm, hope it will last some time
