Haruto got a reaction from Aferni in D.I.D. has been indefinitely on hiatus and new album release
I'm not so sure about the release guys. I read the announcement as 'We were originally planning to release an album', but can't because of Akane's health and the member changes. With the hiatus this will be postponed. I also read this as 'We were originally planning to continue with Shinya as a member, but as of now, can't continue at all' -> therefore, hiatus.
I don't expect D.I.D. to be back very soon, then they wouldn't call it an indefinite hiatus. And no band releases an album during their hiatus, without any promotion or tour going along.
My Japanese is rusty, but I really wouldn't get my hopes up at all.

i don't know what bandmen in their right mind would go and set out to make a band with akane given how unreliable he is; i mean he more or less drove a danger crue level band to total flopdom. it seems the other guys were in D.I.D. only because of how much they loved the band and fans, so its kind of sad they worked so hard to end up with nothing in the end.
i too will hope akane continues in music, he is a phenomenally talented guy with enough balls to be open about his mental health struggles in a subculture which probably looks at him like a crazy person. I hope his recovery has been going better and that he can enter the bandscene with the strength to continue and make a new band to snatch off all of our wigs.

You guys who say they can just replace him and go on don't really understand how the Japanese society works. It's "you ride together, you die together".
When Meto from Mejibray fell out of that window, it was the other three members crawling on their knees, begging for forgiveness and understanding from both the management and the fans and that was just an 'accident' ( yet self-inflicted, because drunk. So -> shame! )
Think of that one girl (I think from AKB or so?) who got caught sneaking away from a guy's home and shaved off her hair in public and nothing about that is illegal.
If lynch. just continued, everyone would consider them highly inappropriate and rude. You have to publicly show remorse and step back. Has nothing to do with being dumb or not finding a bassist that quickly. It's the shaming-inappropriate-behavior mentality of the Japanese.

Yepp, us Westerns can't understand. We have fans who get angry if Justin Bieber does NOT perform after being caught with a blunt and I think there were some metal bands where members were convicted with serious crimes like murder and still toured until the last minute.
It's really just two different worlds colliding and @cvltic explained it perfectly. In terms of 'public decency' Japan shows no mercy and this is where their audience is located at.

I personally have tickets for their lives in March so ... I hope they'll be back on track until then...

with the announcement of a last release and live final so they can squeeze the last few pennies out of the following they pulled in.

Happened a couple of times before, maybe they're not paying the charges for the hosting/server/url or their website host just sucks in general. During their active phase, it went down like five times and then Sho was like 'oops' and two days later it was back up again.
Chances are, with no current announcements and lives going on, none of them noticed it yet. They're barely active, so naturally no one cared to put it back up yet.
I stopped worrying about that after my first three heart attacks, yepp!

Kind of suspected this would happen, with how quiet they went.
Still ouch. One of the few bands I was still actively following, buying all releases... Let's hope the members continue with music.
I could imagine that Manj's health doesn't allow him to continue and they decided Sel'm wouldn't be Sel'm without him and call it quits.

Seems like Issei has left the band or is planning to leave. It's not my blog, but I know the person who runs it is a reliable source in close contact to D.I.D. and their fans. I wonder what will happen to the band.... At this point, they need to revamp everything or give up completely.

I think all of my favorite lyrics are written by Otogi from Awoi (アヲイ).
The lyrics are deep, dark, desperate and real. He creates amazing sceneries and mental images and there are a lot of plays on words, too.

Akane also writes some interesting lyrics. He strikes me as one to do a lot of research and make a lot of hints, for example biblical references or the soul weighing 21 grams. I like stuff like that.

Won't happen. Leaving a band without a last live and shady reasons then suddenly popping up in a new one has gotten him enough bad credit among fans and there'd be no way he'd be allowed back into his old position. There's just this Japanese belief that certain things are not okay, like durr hurr hurr honour and loyalty and respect and whatnot.

I just hope Yuuki and Satoshi will remain active. Maybe even together, with another line up and another concept.

    I agree with this 100%
i've been one to enjoy Yuuki's vocals and ever since Unsraw had disbanded, I never expected him to be in a similar band especially working with Satoshi. Personally I enjoy the clash of his vocals with Satoshi's guitar work. It's refreshing in a way.

Sometimes I feel like the only person who likes Yuuki's voice. Yes, even I can tell it's unfinished, he can't exactly 'sing', but I love the rawness to it and the special color his voice has. I never liked generic VK-voices and while I wouldn't listen to Yuuki singing three days in a row, he's always been one I loved to listen to.
I think the issue is that people are so used to Unsraw or expecting a second Unsraw, that no one is willing to give anything else a true chance and everything about it which isn't Unsraw-ish gets picked out – and on. Though in this case the guitars don't fit and at the point of guitar vs vocals, the vocals lost because they were the weaker part. So far no one complained about kicking out Satoshi and finding a guitarist to suit Yuuki. And neither am I, God beware.

When the song up there started playing it felt 100% D.I.D. to me and mind you, I'm a big D.I.D. fan. I expected Akane to start singing anytime yet my hype kicked in the moment Yuuki started and didn't attempt Akane's screeches and joined in with his kind of voice – because it's new and I actually thought it was great.
Yuuki will never hit every note and ace it, but I loved the dualism of the guitars and the raspy voice here. Because it's NOT D.I.D./Para:noir.

I feel like this is an issue similar to back then, when Metal mixed with Dubstep became a thing and everyone was throwing a tantrum how this is never supposed to mix at all, while I absolutely loved it.
To each their own – but I'm absolutely in for this.
