Remember when VK bands would only leave their labels to go major or to go to a bigger label ? 

Diaura just announced that they have as of 25th of January been operating under Forum instead of AINS. In the message AINS states that they from now on entrusts their very good friends over at Forum with their band "Diaura". The members states that they have no intent of disbanding or anything of the like. 
 
I think this officially puts the last nail in the coffin that is Ains.

dimlim and kizu really seem to be the strongest newbies at the moment! i'm back from hiatus too, so i kinda feel you - it's nice to see that vkei still has something good up its sleeve~ 

Sure. Most of them are credited as 'Music: Issei' but there's a couple of exceptions. 受難 (junan) is credited to Uta, Believing to Yoh, another DAY to Mio, and 色失 (shokushitsu? iro-ushinai?) and SAD[ist.] were apparently composed by Tsubasa (ex-DIMLIM, I guess). Lyrics are all credited to Mio, and it seems Issei produced the instrumental tracks solo.

apparently they're going back to using the katakana version of their name too, no more MERRY

when i think of guitar solos, i think of sakito's solos in the first place. his guitar playing style is so graceful and gentle. naito made truly genius and unique music back then.
 
another one is by 9gbo. it's simple, but sounds demonic. uta's guitar sound is priceless.
 
and last but not least, megaromania. this one is gothic and cute, gives you princess in an old dark castle realness. 
 

i was into that cyber oshare sound when i was like 15, so i can't hate this, but this sounds so over the top with all the synth sounds and autotune...

this is so not versailles hahahaha

This was my first hide song ever and this solo has always stuck with me.
 
Versailles - Love from a Dead Orchestra
This has always been my favorite Versailles song, and the solo has a lot to do with that. Perhaps a touch "noodley," but not enough to make it feel like just pure fast guitar wankery, and there is enough substance here that I find it incredibly memorable.
 
Dir en grey - Cage
I'll be the first one to admit that this one is over rated as heck...though perhaps not any more (do people even talk about early era diru anymore? lol). That said, it's still quite catchy and a bass solo still is something you hardly hear. When I thought of guitar solos in Jrock, this is one of the first ones that jumped in to my mind.
 
NoGod - Guren
Perhaps this would be in the "runner up" category for me in terms of solos, but I still enjoy this one a fair bit. It also reminds me of how much I miss early NoGod.
 
 
I know I am missing one major one for myself here. When I first saw this thread, I knew exactly what song I needed to include. But for the love of god I can't remember what that song is anymore.

actually quite a few bands have my attention now. i've been out of the vkei game for quite long, because all new bands just kept  dissapointing me. from time to time i cheked something new in youtube but saw nothing except same pvs with lyrics on screen and goddamn tv interference effects, needless to say music was total mediocrity too. well there were some songs that were quite nice but that wasn't enough for me to return to vk.
virge and kizu were who brought me back again. virge have that classic vkei sound and a good vocal, although a little disturbing. idk why but it does sound uncomfortable. kizu - well' i've already said everything i think about them here, just love them. also my eyes are on dimlim, rands, nazare - depending on their next moves i might become a fan. david, sarigia(they sound generic but still on a level i can enjoy) are quite nice.

Are they trying to get that guy from THE ALFEE's attention or something?

I really don't understand why you'd want Issei out. Sure he's a dick, but a competent dick. And as far as I know, no other member has shown any actual ability to write anything amazingly compelling to be able to pull what DIMLIM did with Retsu.

Fuggin' A, not this shit again. I mean, I thought their music was meh since their formation, but to have members within feel the same way even now is just lol.
Makes you wonder if Kuze is gonna make it through the year haha.

The first single "静寂の闇に舞う愛と悪戯の遁走曲" went on sale on 2018/12/31 in his live at Kyoto MUSE.
