Usually, when a band member leaves, it doesn't bother me or worry me too much... this is not one of those times. I am not okay with this!

Roji will leave XAA-XAA and possibly retire from musical activities after XAA-XAA's free oneman celebrating his birthday on 8/11.
 
XAA-XAA will continue activities without pause with a support drummer.

This is a real bummer. One of the most impressive things about their sound is his drumming.

Grieva will disband at their one man final at 30th of December at takadanobaba area.

I'll admit to losing interest after 2014, but I'm still not thrilled about this. Especially since this is happening on my birthday. I just wanted them to get their shit together, not call it quits!

I beg to differ. This would what that would sound like adding in modernization 
I post because the vocalist and band had chops from day one. The vocalist has skills and know how to use them unlike...... and  its creative to mix old school style with yohio style imo. 

But Jin IS the sound of Nega. I could never imagine them without his nasal, off-key vocals. It's so unsettling it adds to the creepiness and dread of their atmosphere, and them losing their gothic side and transitioning to metalcore did them no favors. The goth metal of Nega's early days like on "illegitimacy" is one of the few sounds Jin's vocals work in. Metalcore is not, and NEGA's last train wreck of an album is proof why. THE BLACK SWAN works to put some of that goth flavor back into the metal, but there's also some metalcore bits that stick out like a sore thumb in the form of curious composing choices. But what is this new band? I like them.

And what is YOHIO style?

This may be the random thoughts thread but this is not the place to vent about your suicidal idealizations. We have had to hide far too many of these posts recently. If you are thinking about killing yourself, get off MH and look up the national suicide hotline for your country and talk to someone who can help.

You have to ask yourself a very basic question, which console has the exclusives you want to play more? Because that's really all it boils down to, sure the XboneX will be the more powerful machine, but if it doesn't have the games you want to play then what's the point? Also another really important question is; do you have or plan on having a 4k TV? If you don't have one or plan on getting one, then I wouldn't even waste the extra money on the PS4pro or the XboneX, I'd just get a PS4slim or a XboneS. 4K is really what these consoles are made for, most if not all of the visual and graphical enhancements are going to be in the higher resolution support.

As much as I enjoy the instrumentation/musicianship of D.I.D., Akane sometimes makes it rather difficult to enjoy. I kind of prefer Para:noir to D.I.D. Yes, as has been pointed out, Akane abused autotune during the Para:noir days, but it wasn't constant, just occasional. These days, however, it's nothing but chipmunk vocals and HNNNGGG-HRRRNNNG-HNNNNGG-HRRRRNNNNNNG. I'd rather have good vocals with occasional autotune abuse over a potentially good voice constantly wasted on chipmunk squealing and unintelligible grunting noises.
 
I never really had any respect for NOCTURNAL BUTTLUST, before listening to a single song of theirs, I just got the impression that they were total douchebags (but then again, I just described at least half the VK scene). That impression made it hard to take this particular band seriously. I do like their singer's voice when he actually sings in Japanese, but I don't care for his screeches or Engrish vocals. Most of their stuff bores me, though, so I don't even bother anymore. They've always been a joke to me, more so than any other VK band.
 
As much as I'd like to take back my vote and say "neither," I can't. 1) the system won't let me, 2) writing this post has reminded me that I still like the music D.I.D. created, I just have a problem with the vocals (again, I just described half of VK).

I feel like i've heard the song a million times before already, so I just feel incredibly indifferent to it, but knowing me, I'll probably still end up liking it down the road. =/

I just thought that after all those Ayabie and MASK revival he'd finally come up with something decent or revive one of his previous bands, and now this.
