It all sounds the same to me its just as shallow as American pop music, I don't see a difference so I will never understand why K-Pop is as popular as it is. It has to have one of the worst fandom's I've ever seen though, I've never seen a music genre with a community as bad as K-Pop's. The only thing I can compare it to are video games like Undertale and FNAF (albeit Undertale was a decent game).

There's no originality in it. It's just American pop music made 2 years after the fact, and sung by 8 guys with pink bowl cuts. It's an imitation of soulless music.

So here's the general consensus:

Felt like I judged the band prematurely because I only based it off their visuals and now after listening to the song I'm convinced it's still shit

I don't know how accurate my numbers are, it looks like the following for my VK/J-rock collection:
940+ CDs (albums, singles, mini albums, maxi singles) 30+ VHS tapes and DVDs 30 Vinyl LPs, EPs, and singles 10 Cassette Tapes 5 Autograph boards 15 Posters 40+ Magazines 50+ photos (most of them being 1st generation VK bands) 10+ flyers I don't know the exact numbers for my CDs or my VHS/DVDs because my bookcase is a hot mess 99.9% of the time and I still have a cardboard box that has about 100 CDs sitting next to it. 

 
If I included the rest of my CD collection (mostly J-pop, K-pop, glam rock/glam metal artists), I would have about 200+ more CDs in my collection on top of my VK/J-rock collection.

Since I enjoyed my foray into western rock, I decided to pay a visit to the Korean (indie) rock side of things. I've been getting into the aforementioned Cotoba! Their newest ep was a very entertaining listen. I'm also been listening to some Guckkasten these days too
 

Lately I've been spinning あまのじゃく a lot more than usual. I respect the hell out of any band that still does long intros in today's music industry, let alone managing to do one about as long as some entire songs. Something about the main riff and weighty atmosphere remind me of sad 80's new wave songs (brings to mind songs like The Cure's 'A Forest' which I'm sure would please the members). Also Ryutaro's falsetto in this one... Gorgeous.
