Not sure if it really is an unpopular opinion, but I don't think there's any redemption for pedophiles/child molestors/child abusers. I don't care how many '12 step programs' there are, there's no redeeming that.

(I only bring this up because I literally had to hold myself back from yelling at my own mom)

I think it's okay if they get therapy before they actually do anything to hurt someone/look anything up because that shows that they know they have a serious problem and they would never act on it/cause anyone any harm but if they actually go through with it, that's unforgivable.

ahhh, ok. So If I understood you correctly, what you're saying is something like "having children isn't a bad thing in and of itself, but rather, it's the intent behind having children that matters, and that's where things can get a bit problematic?" Something like that?

Yeah, that's it. I guess I coulda been a bit clearer.

Just out of curiosity, sis, why do you feel that way?

I don't think having kids is a bad thing, I just wanna clear that up. Nor do I think being selfish is inherently bad, actually (in some cases it's actually beneficial). I just think it'd be better if adoption was more popular and I also see a lot of people having kids just because they want to without thinking about the fact that they're bringing another human life into this world that only exists because their parents thought they were worth it. I fully respect people who have children because they want to see a healthy human life grow up and flourish as opposed to "I want someone with my surname", "I want my parents to be grandparents cuz they want to be", "I want..." but that doesn't change my view that adoption is the more compassionate option.

  4. Twenty-One Pilots are and always were boring crap

We need to stop building houses for people who don't even live in the country yet and start creating more job opportunities for people who do live here so more people can get jobs and employers don't feel the need to discriminate against introverts and people who devote a lot of their time to S̵̛̭̒͐͂̈́̈́̏C̵̬̬̠̼̖̓͌͠R̵̼̫̦̟̊̏͐̀͂̇Ĕ̴̦̼͔̗̻͉̹E̶̼̹͎̖̤͋͆̄̂͜͝͠Ǹ̷̨̜̬͛̐̄̽̉̓͒͊S̴̰̳̱̠͚͉̘͚̒̏͌̉͂͋̂͝ͅ because good lord how dare they enjoy modern technology. Also you should only need GCSEs/A-levels/etc that actually pertain to the job you want to get instead of all this maths/English/science to become a cashier bullcrap

Having kids is a million times more selfish than not having kids

  5. I wish people would pick a better place/time than directly outside where I live at night to shout like idiots. Why is it always here? Why can't they go be obnoxious somewhere else? I know it's right in the city centre so there are a lot of drunk people but this is just pissing me off. I would go outside and tell them to shut the fuck up but I live in a flat so it's not just my property and I don't want to make a scene. If it was just me living here, it'd be different and I'd be able to get some bloody peace and quiet.

IDk if I should talk things with her or just tell her to fuck off and delete her from my social media. That feels very childish and immature but she's also showing to be very unreliable and overall a bad friend.

What's so childish/immature about deciding you don't need shite like this in your life? If I were you, I'd just go with the latter option and be done with it. However, if you want to keep trying with her, go for it and I hope it works out well if that's what you choose to do.

  7. I had a job centre appointment yesterday and I know it was supposed to be informative/encouraging but all it did was teach me what a load of fucking arseholes the majority of employers are and how much I need to lie on my CV if I'm to ever get a job. Most soul-crushing ninety minutes of my life.

Wait, everyone is entitled to their opinions except this one? Unless one cries out #allvkmatters then the breath exits the realm of acceptability and becomes free game to be called butthurt etc. ?

I've always written like this with this very same tone by the way, and I like arguing with people who's education and taste I don't respect both irl and online. The only people who take other people trashing shit they like seriously enough to comment with such shite are the ones who are out there either to swipe under the rug their inferiority complex and lack of argument or white knight some shitty band that will disband in two years without a wikipedia article with the balance book of bataar.

I never said he wasn't entitled to his opinion. I was just making a point. Of course he's entitled to think there's been an objective decline in quality, but I am entitled to disagree with him. Not every statement I make has to be either emblematic of an "inferiority complex" of which you speak or some huge manifesto about some band I like, so stop putting words in my mouth.
