I see what you did there with that reference, Atsushi *dorky snickering*
Hopefully Atsushi and co. will contribute something we have never heard before from BT's 13th Floor-era and so on (nothing wrong with the said sound, but repeating it would be a bit too much)
BT OHP posted songwriting credits too:

Pretsy got a reaction from ghost in Popular/Legendary/Respected Japanese bands that you've NEVER listened to...(and probably should)
Roentgen (Hyde, his magnum opus)
Tierra (early 90s L'Arc)
Ark (late 90s L'Arc) (ps. HEART is my personal favorite but I started with this anyway)
KISS (00s L'Arc)
Their self-titled of course (in case you could resist wacky vocalcraft)
I can give a few songs for you to decide whether you are ready to go for anything Kiyoharu (or Kuroyume/SADS/solo in this case) - as a listener who used to stan him so hard:
"Triangle" (⊿) -album.

holy shit track 5
i never used to like passepied but this is album of the year material.

Pretsy reacted to saishuu in Post your "UNPOPULAR" music opinions!
It's weird how Passepied was all people could talk about just a while ago and now their hype has completely died down (with western fans at least), even though they're still putting out quality music.
@herpes didn't know about CQ, but that song is so good, omg

Pretsy reacted to herpes in Post your "UNPOPULAR" music opinions!
oh they're animu/vocaloid related? this makes a little sense now, but their schtick is honestly so tacky, I can't fully understand how people can make it through a song let alone stan them.
as for the last bit: passepied and CQ are two who immediately spring to mind of deserving more attention.

Pretsy reacted to Ito in #61: D - HAPPY UNBIRTHDAY
Concept single are not a new thing for D - but this one is probably one of their worst.
First off - you have no excuse for those synth strings and horns. those should be reserved for low budget recordings (and even then they still sound garbage). You should have the money to make it happen. In fact, you HAVE made it happen before - like Birth for example, which is a great song. FOR THE LOVE OF GOD, IT SOUNDS AWFUL - STOP IT!!!
Happy Unbirthday is a garbage song with a riff that I swear they recycled from another song of theirs. Funny Bunny is a average song with tiny interesting bits and a terrible sugary chorus. Lepidoptera would be good if it weren't also a synth nightmare with a marginal chorus. Tokakukuni no Kani is easily my favorite track off the single, though I would hardly call that high praise.
You can add this to the list of things that D has done lately that I would love to forget about.
(Side note - If you only have listened to Vampire Saga and Genetic World, I think you are missing out on D's best stuff. I will would argue that The Name of the Rose and Neo Culture are their best albums)

Pretsy got a reaction from CAT5 in The Great Nostalgia Thread
^^ seeing Daft Punk (especially that MV) and MCR makes my inner nostalgia kid sob so hard. Talk about tearjerking reminiscences (note: this is not a negative comment)
Throughout my childhood (way up until everyone sold out) I have grown up with MTV instead of a well-behaving mommie's lil' angel boy (oh god how cringeworthy is that). So don't expect any surprises (especially those from the States) in case you notice some:
I am sorry, got too overexcited.

^ depends on what kind of sound you are expecting/wanting to listen to (ask Jig since he knows the best about BT eras and how they would cater to various tastes)
Also, I forgot to mention mine:
(Japanese only)
B'z
Mr. Children
ORIGINAL LOVE
Bo Ningen
Ging Nang Boys
ART-SCHOOL
The Pillows (I think I have listened to a few songs but I forgot them already)
Soutaiseiriron
Bloodthirsty Butchers
the band apart
HINTO
...
etc.
I am one lazy heck of a music enthusiast, lol.

What songs take you back in time? Your youth? Embarassing moments, moments of love, life — friendship or music that reminds you of simple accomplishments, anything goes. What's still stuck in your head after all this time?
Psychotic 4 - Breaking Out
I discovered this band somewhere around my time on Myspace. A friend of mine and I made it a contest of who could find the most neo-glam rock guys on the website and alongside this activity we also discovered a lot of bands. Naturally, I crushed on the blond guitarist. This song often pops up in my head out of nowhere, and when I go back, I still enjoy it.

I made a really quick preview xD
Let me begin with my first song ever, the song I meet music and like it all start. This was around 2001 or 2002.
After a few listens looking for a band I would like, Green Day came on me with their album American Idiot (2004) which made me a rock lover and what I'm now.
During my whole school period and personal life I was motivated by Green Day, MCR and Fall Out Boy, which of course were in good and bad moments of my life.
In 2006-2007, I first meet the japanese music, with nightmare. But nothing really change, so in 2011, I meet BORN with DEMONS , the magic and destiny was made.

Her sound seems to have changed quite a bit since:
Admittedly, I'm quite fond of the older sound, but whatever floats your boat ; )

Moscow Club and new Age Factory sound totes cool (well, very familiar and good acts as you might guess!).
Also: shame on those who missed this nice J-pop gem of Autumn!
Latest Passepied album is fun!
Also, latest I Love You Orchestra ain't bad either
Yellowcard-meets-math rock-meets-classical elements? (except if Yellowcard were good actually, oops)

@fitear1590 — "CELINE" by möscow çlub: This reminds me of 80's synth-pop and new-wave music, closely related to Duran Duran and Tears For Fears, and anything else of the sort. Very enjoyable and impressive as this is a sound that is difficult to reproduce in more modern times. If their other releases sound like this, I might actually develop an interest for this.

Pretsy reacted to Furik in Anyone with disabilities?
I am trying to make this as serious as possible, no trolling or joking.
Any members have any physical or mental disabilities that they are comfortable with sharing or talking about?
The reason I post this is because earlier last week I was diagnosed SSD (single sided deafness). It was sudden. For the past two to three weeks I could not hear out of my left ear. It was bothering me. I went along with it for a while but finally decided to make doctor appointments. They flushed out both of my ears maybe due to blockage but everything was normal. Finally, I talked to an audiologist and they tested both of my ears. They diagnosed me as a case of sudden single ear deafness. I have a few more appointments next month to go over other options.
