I'm with you 100%. Love his old stuff dearly, and he's still charismatic no matter what he's doing. I feel the same with a lot of VK bands touring internationally. There's the urge to see them because  it's rare, but I know the desire is often fed by the part of their discography that they haven't been playing in a decade 😧

I've never been ID'd going into electric ballroom. And I probably look younger than most. You never know for sure, because the official policy is that you should probably have ID. BUT, realistically, I wouldn't worry about it.

all of their songs are great but mushoku no keshiki and tsuki wa shizuka ni are probably my favorites. also really love the raw sound in their first demo.

It was a 3 hour live, but they didn’t play The Farthest, yomi no yuzuriha etc. Hopefully next week’s setlist is different. But I can’t imagine them coming back... all their music tastes are so different now

been listening to the itsuka no tape recorder EP lately. I love Kouen. Also the version of Chiisana Te from the DOORS V.A. is amaaazing. Such a good band. I wonder if/when any recordings from Kenta's new project will surface....

This must have been one tour after I saw them, but its a lot like I remember. There was a few times where the drummer would be playing up until the climax/drop of a song, and then he would jump into the audience and mosh with everyone. The singer/main guy was wearing a dress and some sort of make up costume for half the set, and his girlfriend was filming on an old video tape recorder. Really  fun

@reminiscing2004 That's dope. I'd wanna see that live. If the live vibe is anything like the music, then I'm sure it was crazy.

Saw Machine Girl live in 2016. Maybe 2015? House show. Live drummer, one of the best shows I've ever seen. (Credit pretty much entirely due to the live drummer).
