Is anyone here into traditional Asian clothes (such as the Cheongsam, Kimono, etc.)? Because none of my friends are really into it and I'd like to be able to talk about traditional fashion to someone who cares lol
-
A friend just showed me 14th Generation Toilet Hanako-Chan, and she is almost everything I strive to be.
-
So apparently, they may start making THC infused monster drinks.
Isn't that just Bhang for Kyles? -
Does there exist a live recording of Ankoku Sekai wa Yami? I think that GossiP has their version on one of their live DVDs, but I don't think a proper live recording has been made of the main song with GossiP, Kuroyuri and Grieva

I just checked out ヘクトウ and ロマン急行 and these guys, combined with Gulu Gulu, have restored my faith in Visual Kei.
-
They should feed an AI song-writing program a bunch of Visual Kei songs of each type, and see if it can come up with the ultimate songs.
-
@Zeus Oh wow, that's interesting. Do tell more!
-
1. creating an AI to build music requires teaching an AI about music and music theory or else you're going to have an AI that smashes random notes together. that means having a solid understanding of major and minor chords, harmonic scales, time signatures, etc. and then being able to program it so that the AI understands it as well.
2. it is easiest to teach AI music thru monophonic melody. most visual kei songs (most songs actually) are polyphonic. that means many melodies at once. simply giving AI an MP3 is not going to work because it's not going to understand how to separate frequencies and instruments. what i worked on accepted MIDI files as input, but as it would turn out...
3. turning Mp3 into MIDI is not easy either! try one for yourself. the resulting MIDI is a discordant mess. this is because the conversion process loses a lot of information, and this is the information we want to teach our AI!
4. need a good training set of data to begin "teaching" the AI about music. you will need hundreds of samples to get started. i used Bach since i had a training set already available to me. this would have to be replaced with visual kei melodies to achieve the desired effect.
there are a few more but that's the issues i had.

Can the members of Nicolas just go back to that traditional Japanese meets early 2000's Vkei shtick they had with JyuLie? The shit they made as JyuLie was really cool sounding and I wish there was more Vkei like it.
-
Love JyuLie tbh

I fucking hate the fact that food companies don't have to specifically say what "natural flavors" they put in their shit. I found this really nice chai flavored protein drink, and it'd be perfect if it weren't for the fact it gives me an allergic reaction. The ingredients list is all stuff that's mostly benign and I'm not allergic to, so the only suspect is the "natural flavors".

Did Kimi wa Surudoku ever even release anything as Kegare? I find it weird that a band that's been around since 2002 only started releasing stuff recently. I also hate that it has to be Karuna who hasn't released anything until recently, because I'm a hoe for Gill'e Cadith

Happy Birthday!

Thank you 💙

Apparently, Gulu Gulu is on some label called Hedo Records, according to their website
-
Even after this band fizzled into the nothingness, this song still fucking slaps.
-
God GossiP's last album was so fucking good. I hope they come back soon. I need chaotic early 2000's tribute-kei in my life
-
How does one change their name on MH? I'd like to change my screen name to something better than my current one lol.

I still can't determine whether I think the new Kiryu single is a nice throwback to their earlier history,
or I think that it's a sign that they're starting to run out of ideas. -
I seriously wish AIKA didn't retire from the Vkei scene after Triggah. Does anyone know what he's even doing now? Last I heard, he still attended events relating to Dual Core Sound, but I believe Dual Core Sound isn't around anymore
-
I may upload some Memento Mori stuff in lossless soon. My partner has almost their entire discography (minus their full-length and their demo tape)
-
@IGM_Oficial It was called "Nigatsuyouka no Shitsumei" and was released some time in 2012, around the same time as Haikei Haranbanjou Biyori. It's extremely rare, and it never appears on sales or auctions, but it is confirmed to have existed.

I want to start using last.fm again, but I'd have to correct all my music tags.
ALL of my Vkei tags....
-
Oh yeah, I used to have that app. The way it tagged album art was weird though. It'd always be compressed and if anything happened to the song file, the art would be gone.
Also, I have no idea if that's compatible with mp3tag scripts, since I trust the vk.gy tagging script. Other auto-taggers would wrongly tag my Visual Kei music. The auto-tagging software on the PC I use to rip music with thinks that a Kuroyuri to Kage single is Michael Jackson, and that Cuartet is the RnB group "Shai" lol

The riff to the new Kiryu song reminds me of Ookami Shounen by Mi'ze:lia (one of Mitsuki and Takemasa's earliest bands)

@Peace Heavy mk II Yeah, I noticed their stuff has been kind of a sample-fest lately. Muku was practically just them reusing the bridge to Meikyou Shisui to somehow connect to the chorus of Oboro.
