Reading this, I'm so glad that I absolutely have no ear for music lol
I'd never be able to tell if a song is good or bad in its mixing, or if the drums are flat or whatever else could be wrong with a song

I'm not sure about that. I don't think the band has lost anything. I get the opposite impression actually, that the band is still trying to find a new sound but they are a few places removed from where they want to be. There's definitely a certain sound and aesthetic that they are chasing, but what that is I could not tell you. I also think it's really hard to come to a conclusion on one track + a re-recording + a live performance of the last single. Dir en grey are really good about keeping their cards close to their chest until they release a full album or EP, so I wouldn't lose faith until the entire next album pisses you off.

Thanks to @EvilHippy, I was finally able to correct the lyrics for Ningen o kaburu and Ash. Regarding the romanisation, it's by ear, so there might still be mistakes, but without a band score for the songs, I can't do much more. Anyway, here are the lyrics:

Yeah, i usually get a poster. On some rare occasions I got stuff like a multicolor ink pen from preordering NoGod’s “V”, postcards, or weird shit like what I think was incense or maybe some sort of firecrackers from Onmyouza.
