wow, what a fun live it was in helsinki ^^ my neck and back are hurting from the pit, but it was totally worth it! There seemed to be only few people around though, like few hundred at most, but what we lacked in numbers, we made up in passion.

haha ty. I guess I will. Usually if I feel like drawing, but don't feel like putting any effort into it, I end up drawing this manga

@ZinI agree with you on the overrated part. I've never been *really* impressed by anything they've done or has any song ever been ringing in my head non-stop, nope. But you gotta give them credit on where it's due. They have been big inspiration to many of the modern VK acts and I'd say they represent visual kei in general pretty well. If anything, they've been pretty hard working band to force their way to popularity with rather mediocre material lol. Also, many of your complains about The Gazette might as well be complains towards visual kei in general. Most of the bands are sorta hybrid of pop and metal, nonsensical Engrish is very typical and fanbase of every band is too rabid imo. That's just the genre we're here for, don't hate it Zin! btw, don't take any offense in this, but Nightmare is like the most generic band to ever grace this earth. not a good comparison D:
  4. Nokubura day ! It's the last gig of their Europe tour so I expect greatness from it

Image is my favourite album easily. All the songs are really great on it and I love the earlier raw sound of Luna Sea. Especially Ryuichi's vocals changed after the Image, which is a shame really /: I guess they dropped their VK look too after the album(?) I also like their first self-titled album, because the sound is pretty similar to Image and also Shine is among my favourites. Shine has got a cool atmosphere that continues through the album.
  7. omg I can't get over how good new Diru sounds !! @_@

this pretty much. I'm starting to feel ashamed of ever being a fan of theirs. lol this YOSHIKI branding has achieved some absurd heights.

^ Whatdya mean @itsukoii? He's been getting more and more casual harajuku street fashion dude lately. If anything, I'd find him more relatable at this point than ever. It's all cool imo, love him ^^

sort of promising, even though that RED ROOM is boring imo. I like the vocalist and instrumentals have potential. Now just make more interesting music ^^

@AtreidesThe Marrow of a Bone is my favourite. It's the next album after Withering to Death and continues with certain things you can already hear on that album. TMOAB is not liked by that many tho.. Maybe because it's pretty heavy album with lots of growling and the songs are simpler in structure, but going by your music taste (as far as I know), you might end up liking the album.
  17. Hyvät synttärit Maria!! :D

I'm rejoicing about ARCHE because I haven't been that big of a fan of their later work. Of course it's not to say that I wouldn't have liked wherever they would have gone and evolved without this return to basics. Also I don't think ARCHE sounds 1:1 like their older material. They're still using their new tricks. Especially Kyo's singing melodies have changed dramatically since UROBOROS onwards, that alone makes this album sound unlike anything from their classic days. Carm, I take you're not the biggest fan of ARCHE?
  19. So today I'm here to introduce you to an online manga The GAS. It's something I've drawing every now and then, whenever I feel like it: You can find all the chapters so far from here: https://tapastic.com/series/The-GAS---Shokuchi-Family-Feud or here: http://www.webtoons.com/en/challenge/the-gas-great-anime-story/list?title_no=12947 or there is also a tumblr site: http://the-gas.tumblr.com/ any feedback/criticism is welcome ~ arigatou gozaimasu ^^

^ yea, he looks way younger this way. He was going towards the oyaji yakuza look fast. This looks a lot better imo ^^ Lately I have been listening to ARCHE. I'm a bit ashamed it's taken me this long to get into this album, as I initially dismissed the album as overly complicated nonsense after listening through it for the first time. Also because I haven't been a big fan of Kyo's deeper growls and angel choir shrieks introduced with UROBOROS, which are the reason I haven't liked their albums that much. After so many people talked highly of this album, I gave it a new chance - and damn~! It's quickly becoming my favourite diru album. It's really back to more basic kind of Dir en Grey, maybe the most commercial and catchy tracks are missing compared to their earlier albums, but song structures are more easy on my ear still. ARCHE has really sparked my interest towards DeG once again, yay ^^

haha,  but it doesn't suck that much if you got people around to drink with :'D

I was getting there also! I had a pretty crazy and alcohol filled start for this summer, for over a month or so. But I couldn't take it longer and slept like a full weekend straight. Since then, I've been drinking less, but I'm starting to feel the drive coming back.

I'm going to a rather big party on monday, which might work as a good kickstart again for my alcoholism D:

Haha, I know that feeling dude. That alcohol drive kicks in and you jus(t start drinking..

Fortunately, yes I do drink with my friends and such. However, since we get free drinks (that are strong beers) at the end of our shits, things get a bit rough and we all mostly just end up drinking at the end of the night.  After July 4, I plan on taking the rest of the summer off from Alcohol (HOPEFULLY), and resting until fall hits.

Have fun partying it up dude, and drink responsibly.

awww shit! So you get free beer thanks to your work!? ok now I see what you meant. damn.. I'd be dead in your place. Still kinda envious.. XD

alright! I gave your music a listen. Your solo stuff certainly is way more jrock. Song structures and instrumentals sound authentic and were good imo. BELiEVE was better song out of the 2. The Itari Ascend stuff were very different, very western sound. I don't really know which material I like more... Maybe your solo material would be more refreshing because atm there are like miliion bands that sound similar to your Itari Ascend songs. now for the negatives... I'm sorry, but it always makes me cringe a little when I hear western bands singing in japanese. It doesn't sound natural to me and is kinda distracting. Especially in Itari Ascend, few japanese words there sounded very out of place. Your solo stuff, it kinda fits, but still the vocals bothered me in those songs too. I'm sure if you stick to japanese vocals, you'll get better at it, so do as you see fit. Song writing is good here, so hopefully we'll hear more in future. My favourite songs out of all those in the .zip file would still be BELiEVE, no matter what I said about the vocals

I guess I'm minority here. I'm not a fan of their singles usually. They got few really awesome singles, but otherwise I prefer their full albums. Konton no Hako grew on me after the initial impression. There's some great material there... yea well whatever, the point is, I'm looking forward to this new release! Hoping they'd step out of their comfort zone.

oh yea, I forgot these guys existed.. I haven't decided yet if I like them or not..
