Xaa Xaa and DADAROMA. Other than that, it's been a pretty quiet year for VK to me. Umiyuri is nice, too.

I'd probably be way more into mainstream pop girls, 80s-influenced dream-pop, and shoegaze. (basically my non-vk favs) 

Wasn't expecting to like this, but I really dig it.

Also, Jui (ex-VIDOLL) released an album that was cringey, soft-rock bullshit. Him too.

I have nothing nice to say about their music.

I'm about to start 4th year Japanese, so you'd think I'd be reviewing previous material, learning new kanji, and practicing.

I have done none of those things.

But to answer your question: yes, most japanese men (and women) dislike visual kei. It's a small and niched scene.

I actually liked most of these - Pelican Fanclub, The Novembers, and Mucc especially. I'd listen to the full thing.
