That is considerably quick since we just got new album 7 months ago or so.

It’ll probably be a year since TIW, by the time the single drops.

Listen, this is Sukekiyo so that song really isn’t all that weird. It mostly sounds like a noisier Maniera. 

If Ruki wrote it, you’re going to hear something similar again.

This entire song is full of amazing guitar work, but Hiro’s solo is a soulful, jazz-inspired masterpiece that almost immediately placed him as one of my favorite guitarists.

I’m halfway thru the album now and I can’t take much more of this. I can tell I’m old, because outside of like three songs this is all noise to me.

Dig deeper and you get to hear him mangle the names of various band members beyond recognition. My personal favorite is “Unroo”, which is how he pronounced Uruha.

I wouldn’t even throw Macabre into the equation. Yeah it’s an epic, but it doesn’t follow the same formula as the other three. The reason why Zetsuentai misses the mark is because it sounds like a copy of a copy. I love the atmospheric parts and the groovy heavy sections, but the fast part with Shinya’s trademark Fisher Price blast beat is boring as fuck. Especially since they do the same fucking thing right before it in Keigaku no Yoku!!!

What’s the usual standard? More than half their records sound like hot rubbish.  It should be rated on songwriting anyway. 

Zetsuentai: Still Chasing Vinushka

I’d be okay with Jens Bogren mixing a full DEG album.

I’ve come to like the raw sound of TIW, but my main issue is that Toshiya and Shinya are somehow up front and buried at the same time. For my money the worst sounding album is Kisou, though.
