I'm Itsuki, a french 18 years-old girl. I don't really know how to introduce myself so I apologize if it's not complete or whatever.
Furthermore, my english is not that good, sorry about that ^^"
It's been 5 years now since I'm listening to Visual Kei. The first time I listened to it, it was when a friend of mine send me a bunch of songs of An Cafe and I really enjoyed it. Few days later, I found out "The Invisible Wall" from the GazettE and "Blue Flame" from Alice Nine and that's how I begun to listen to Visual Kei. Today I'm not listening to VK as much as I did when I was 14 or 15 years old, but I still enjoy some bands like Dadaroma, D.I.D., Nocturnal Bloodlust, BugLug or girugamesh for exemple.
If I came here it's because I want to discover "new" VK bands and be surprise because when I see the latest releases of some of my favorite bands (like DIAURA for exemple), I don't feel anything. Hopefully, I'll found some bands who 'll catch my intrest.
I think it's all, if you have some questions, don't be afraid to ask them ^^
This is so crazy because Invisible Wall and Blue Flame were also my first songs!
Welcome to the forums, you will DEFINITELY learn about a lot of bands here you didn't even know existed!

I learned that Pokemon GO is a lot harder (and unsafe) than I thought.

I really enjoy L'Arc/Vamps (my introduction to japanese rock and later on the VK scene). Acid Black Cherry, D, Matenrou Opera, Malisend, VRZEL, Luna Sea, Buck-Tick, Diaura, Rayflower, Ling Toshite Shigure, Biosphia, D'espairsRay, Mardelas, The Lotus are among some of the (many yet not that many) bands I like. Nocturnal Bloodlust is growing on me, despite being a lot heavier that what I'm usually into
For some reason I haven't been able to get really into Malice Mizer/Moi Dix Mois/Kamijo, no matter how much I listen to them.Edit: Kagrra, Morrigan, Exist Trace and Mucc are also among my favorites.
Wow I lot of great bands here! I'm so happy to see another listener of Malisend and BUCK-TICK around
Don't know what I can rec since I listen to a lot of the bands here, but maybe check out Pentagon? They're kinda popular so I wouldn't be surprised if you already heard of them

Thank you!
In regards to this, I have to say GOTCHAROCKA is not Vidoll!! LIke, not at all, so I don't know how you will take them. Jui still sounds as beautiful as before (though his voice is only slightly different) but GOTCHAROCKA is a lot more "pop rock" because JUN composes like everything :// (and if you're familar with him then you know how that is). Maybe check out Virginity by them? That's one of their best releases. And/Or Gekiai which is my personal fave :'D

Welcome to the forums <3
I listen to a handful of those bands you mentioned, and
a good amount of kpop too. -
Yessss I'm so happy to see L again <3333

Welcome to the site! Arlequin's one of my favorite bands too!

It's in the sig. Lately been digging some of my favorite k-artists, but I usually have a mixture of kpop and jrock.

Welcome! Glad to see someone else around my age here

I listen to both VK and kpop and I see the same problem...
I guess people go from vkei to kpop because the male groups their also have an unconventional aesthetic, like vkei musicians do?
I personally, love vkei more than kpop. Kpop fans tend to be obnoxious (not all, but certain fandoms are just ugh) while vkei things are a lot more chill. I also appreciate the fact that many vkei musicians are artists, since they create their own music.
I can't stand most jpop so that's why I'm drawn to female kpop groups. I don't hate pop, but sometimes I like a small break from vkei. I'm pretty picky with both genres, but it's good to have diverse tastes

I'm still trying to get a feel for certain parts of the song, but I love the chorus. Overall, the music video was alright and they all looked amazing <3

The interesting name caught my eye, it'd be super cool if the vocalist were a female

4-5 hours a day because I can get more things done! If no matter how much time I sleep, I'm still tired there's no point...I like to maximize the time that I'm
aliveawakeWhat do you have a degree in, or what are you currently studying?

All of my music is on a large flashdrive.
And honestly my organization is getting quite questionable now...
I organize by
Year > Month > Album or Single > Songs
And by these dates, I don't mean release dates I mean days that I actually downloaded or ripped them

I'm definitely pumped. By then I'll be in Japan so I could imagine myself going.
I can mostly agree with the rankings in the first article and the second article....but ninjas?? Really now?

My heart sunk when I saw this...I have always had a liking to them ever since I starting listening to vkei jrock but this didn't catch me by much surprise. They seemed to have fallen off the face of the planet for the past few months or so... I really hope L and Tomoya don't stop here.

I kinda have been single for my entire life.
Despite the fact that there was a girl I met online a couple years ago through social media. We talked some and soon became best friends, then finally dating (I guess?). It was long distance though, I mean she lived on an entirely different continent. But we were constantly making motions to meet each other one day, and she would be allowed to stay with me for a week or so. That all went to shit when she met this other girl who lived in the country next to her. They became the BEST of friends, visiting each other within weeks of knowing one another and spending a month in Japan after knowing each other for 3 months!!
I felt hurt, especially since she had stopped talking to me less and less, and she had done all this with someone she barely knew while she had been speaking with me for well over a year. Fast forward some, she later told me that we never WERE dating (so she technically didn't cheat on me when I figured out she had slept with her new best friend. Her logic).
This story is very clipped and is actually much longer but I'm entirely over this situation hence I'm too lazy to rehash it all. Just wanted to put this here in a short explanation that I have been truly single ever since. I'll be moving somewhere else within a year so I hope to meet someone new.
I have lost all hope in long distance relationships too since I feel I am easily replaceable. I fear that a similar situation will happen again....so yeah.
How's it like to be in an actual relationship lmao
