I have a bunch of favourite bands but my main VK artists are exist†trace, Nightmare, Aldious (not fully VK but they've done VK events so idk), Purple Stone, vistlip, 己龍 (Kiryu), NoGoD, コドモドラゴン (Codomo Dragon), ELYSION, REIGN, DaizyStripper, lynch., and so many more I could go all day really but I'm sure you could too XD

Ooh yay, another Purple Stone fan! We have quite a coalition of PS lovers here lol (Check your emoticons and you'll see Keiya and Fuma xD )

I listen to a few of the other bands listed too, but my favorites are GOTCHAROCKA, A9, Purple Stone, UNiTE, sukekiyo, and Arlequin! I listen to many others and my favorites shuffle at times depending lol

  2. I don't feel an inkling of sympathy for him. As many people here have said before, many bandmen have made these same mistakes, you would think others would see this and be more careful? This ain't his first offense either, apparently so I'm starting to think he's a pedo.

So yeah. Continue blaming your bandmen's stupid failures on the coo coo fangirls, when the bandmen, the actual adults, should be a lot more careful since their livelihood and freedom is on the line.

Btw: sorry if I sound bitter, it isn't to anyone here in particular but I saw a shitstorm of FB comments borderline defending Rio and I legit wanted to combust

  3. I hope it's not bad if I revive this thread because HOLY CRAP how did I miss this???

Back when I was a fetus and probably too young to be on the Internet, I would scour fanfiction.net and quizilla (RIP) for HOURS reading anime and Pokémon fanfiction.

Hell, when I was in elementary school, I was writing my own fanfics, series and such and I would hide them from my parents and blush madly when I attempted my first smut (in middle school..god I was such a bad kid).

When I first got into Jrock and visual kei, I think most of my passion for fanfiction died because I had started rping instead and I had met some of the most amazing people.

As far as my preferences for fanfics, I do like angst and I admit, I'm a sucker for vampires, only if it's done to my taste. The same goes for smut which I'm VERY picky about. I guess I write enough butt sex and similar scenarios that seeing it written out kinda makes me yawn. I also tend to stir away from fanfics of popular bands such as the GazettE, Mejibray, etc. because I've had so many of those pairs spewed in my face that I'm tired of it. I like crack ships (as long as they aren't ridiculous) :D

I haven't written a fanfic in ages and I just came across my old naruto fanfiction stash which is...embarrassing.

  4. Interesting post! :D DDR was also my childhood though I'm still much younger than you lol

I'm happy to come across another sukekiyo and Vidoll fan, since those are two of my favorite bands/projects. I also listen to some other bands you mentioned.

Welcome to the forum! I'm sure you'll get along well here.

  5. PLASTICZOOMS is my most recent discovery so I figured I should make a review on them! :)

    PLASTICZOOMS - PLASTICZOOMS

    c20c5f2572ab86b679fd9a59fac5e64c.jpg

    Disclaimer:

    1) This is actually my first time listening to PLASTICZOOMS seriously, so this is probably really objective...nor can I cite or compare any of their other previous works

    2) I don’t know much musical lingo, despite being in band/orchestra for 4 years. So I’m not gonna get all complex, though I wish I could

    3) This is my first review. Have mercy on me please (but do give me critiques and/or your opinion on the work too!)

    Let's get started! :D

Frontal Attack: Every time this track comes on I just smile some to myself. It sounds so...spacey and weird, but I think this it works well. As the song progresses, more things are added from extra beats, to the guitars, and finally Sho. So as an introduction, I guess it gets the job done as an “SE” of some sort.

The Future: It’s a good transition from Frontal Attack. The track itself is..quite alright. It doesn’t knock me off my feet, but it’s definitely something I don’t mind hearing when it comes on shuffle. The guitar solo part is pretty darn cool though, and I love to hear the drums in that part too. The rough vocals Sho uses near the end is a nice touch too.

Quite Clearly: This is the song that I liked at first, but then I listened to it more afterwards and felt kinda meh towards it. It has it’s redeeming values, but quite clearly, it’s meh to me. hAH

Minds: THIS IS THE SONG THAT I HAD STUCK IN MY HEAD THE ENTIRE WEEK. It’s beautiful, and I love the little melody that comes up in the background occasionally and the slower part before the chorus...omg. I like the female voice along with Sho’s, but I feel in short moments it overpowers his voice somewhat (that may be because of his accent though). This was the song on their album advertisement, which was the only reason I decided to check this out actually! :)

HIGHWAY: The other song I had in my head this week..I dig the vintage feel to it. When I was first dipping my feet into PLASTICZOOMS’ music, this was really the only title track song (aside from P A R A D E ) that really stuck out to me. The chorus is catchy af and i find myself singing along each time. I love the part after the last chorus..just gold.

U12: This is the “jollier” song on the album, and it still hasn’t grown on me yet. The bass in this song is pretty great and the part just with it and the synths is fairly cute.

Night & Hurt: Aaaand we’re back to the darker stuff. The weird voice/vocals in the background and the occasional spacey sounds (return) really add to the mystery in this song, Sho’s voice in some parts sounds really..I don’t think creepy would say it, but like some evil overlord that's commanding the peasants (or something). I still feel so-so with the song in general, but it always feels so short when I listen to it.

Smoke Motion: I don’t know why this reminds me slightly of Quite Clearly, but it does. I think the effects in this song is interesting though, and has me tapping my foot along to the beat at times. This song does a lot and I feel it took me a while to take a lot of in. I daresay this is probably the most “experimental” song on this album...oh and the drums at the end reminded me a bit of the ones in THE NOVEMBERS’ Romancé and I was like “cool, I love this effect!”

Veiled Eyes: Ah, the other title track. This is the first song I heard by PLASTICZOOMS (I think), and it didn’t woo me off my feet. It still doesn’t. Honestly, they could’ve chosen Minds as the other title track, even it kinda was the promo song.

Breitenbach: I love, love this track. I think it’s a good song to end the album off with. It’s just so pretty, from the piano, the occasionally ornamentations, and the guitars.

Ending thoughts: I’m still getting used to Sho’s accented English, so I couldn’t decipher a ton of what he was saying, but I think it would’ve helped with my interpretation maybe. I don’t know if this was the best album for me to start with, but it wasn’t bad. I think the order of the album is pretty good, though U12 threw me off when I was first listening to it. In the end, I will definitely be looking more at their discography, since I really like their sound !

    Least Favorite Song?: Veiled Eyes

    Favorite Song?: Minds, duh

    Runner Up?: Breitenbach

    Overall Rating?

    :_7/10_:/10

  6. They come out with dadaism #2 which snatched EVERYTHING from me, and then....this?

I really can't ignore my disappointment; nothing in this preview stuck out to me. I'll still probably listen to it though since I can't give up on them so easily...yet.

  7. I am definitely bisexual, I've known this ever since I could remember, despite the fact that I am still a virgin and my dating experience is quite...lopsided and nonexistent. Though within the vkei community, I assume that many of the females are interested in women, just because of most of the girls I have came across...are. This thread proves me hella wrong lolol *chokes on my gay tears.*

I think it's because I'm extremely nervous around men...like I've never dated one before, nor do I think one has ever had a genuine crush on me or given me the time of day, not counting my pre-high school days. It's just so much easier for me to speak with girls, talk about girls (lovingly), and do whatever because idk. That's how I'm most comfortable. So it's clear that I prefer girls, though I'm definitely open to the prospect of dating men...however that may be. Guys are just confusing creatures. Then again, I think that about both sexes. I'm just socially awkward and hopeless tbh.

  8. (I deserve better friends. I always seem to put more effort into a friendship than any of my "best" friends in the past. This one now never takes me seriously, we have a relationship were we don't necessarily say cheesy things to one another, but we care for one another...I guess. I ask her to be somewhere (nicely) and she doesn't show up. I ask her about this and she says "if I say something, I mean it. If you can't decipher when I'm joking or not, then assume I'm being serious" ......yeah. If I believe 90% of the things you tell me, we would not even be friends. ._. Wtf.
