  1. Not all members of this forum live in a decent country where it's affordable importing stuff from Japan. I've missed gigs from some of my fave bands because not all governments makes it easy for us to consume entertainment. Don't come with this shitty talk about supporting bands when some of us are struggling financially. Also, it's because of selfish attitudes like "I'll buy this but I won't share with anyone" for whatever reasons or "If you're a true fan you'll buy their stuff" that some of your fave bands die. They need money from merch, yes, but if none of their stuff leaks they don't even get the promotion.

Anygays, I won't waste my time with this elitist bullshit. IDGAF about your opinion.

Looking forward to what this band will come up with and that's what matters.

If you are broke you have bigger issues than being entertained, especially being spoonfed every single piece of entertainment that you demand when there is already an endless supply of free entertainment available to you.

It's clear that this whole viewpoint on not 'sharing' (a term used to put some kind of bs feel good spin on giving out other people's hard work for free) being 'selfish' (because you are entitled to the labor of other people while you sit at home) is a load of crap solely fabricated to rationalize taking as much as you can from others while not giving back.

And give us a break with the whole theory that a band dies because not enough people got their work for free, especially with a live DVD. It's not up to 'fans' with no experience in the record industry and possibly no work experience what-so-ever to decide what marketing plan should be used.

It is far from elite to buy a cd or dvd, and if you don't care about the opinion's of others then ignore them, they didn't exactly insult you, but you sure are condescending to them.

Lately you post very frequent negative comments and conspiracy theories over and over in different topics but the second someone disagrees with you or has another point of view you snap.

Nobody is trying to stop you from believing that downloading is helping a band stay alive, or that the Earth is flat or whatever equally believable thing you want to post, so give other people the same respect and let them say what they want on a site that is based on discussion. If you want to argue then do it in a civil manner and don't post rhetoric theories and act like everyone who doesn't agree with you is an elitist jerk killing the record industry.

    Just my opinion.

Anyway, to pretend to be on topic:

Cool band, hope to see what they come up with next.

  2. I had a crap weekend and day today as well due to various disasters, but reading Ameba after I left the office cheered me up.

First I read all the happy birthday's to LiN, then I read Akane's last as it looked like a novel.

The member's who stuck by Akane through everything are real brah's who you would want to have your back, especially Tohma.

They never gave up on the dude, and it is sad to see him have to go, but it seems like he has a strong reason to.

D.I.D. really has alot of potential and had to overcome a lot but they still haven't given up so I can still respect them even if they have not been pushing out new music like people demand.

I have all their music up until W.O.D., and I will resume following them hoping to see them accomplish what they are capable of.

  3. Strong rumour mill churning.

Sales peaked at Rank 82 in the charts, lasting one week on the charts; their last three single being their most popular.

Not high enough to be a moderately successful Indie band by chart measure alone, but not a disaster for bands in that stage of their lifecycle. There are many bands who have lasted longer with similar or even lower sales, and have been on a bigger label. They also had no major work to act as their defining moment in early career, you have to sort through shorter releases and receive a mixed bag sound wise.

Though the label has been pushing them producion and promotion wise to gain an audience, and their last PV is not location heavy but has better production than bands in the top ten of Oricon, so I would say there was a lot of expectation for them similar to the expectation that me and other fans had for a band that was so skilled in blending pop hooks into rock music.

They definitely could have gained traction, and been more successful, in my opinion.

First, they had an unpopular release approach, no album and single after single, meaning lower output of songs compared to other bands, also meaning live shows had a redundancy to them since you were always seeing a very similar performance.

Second, hard to pin down Shounenki sound signature, since their releases changed quite a bit, most new acts develop a distinct callingcard first then branch out, developing their demographic then pushing the boundary. Harder to pin down Shounenki sound and attract the market for it, even if there is one.

Then you have the style of vocals and style of band possibly clashing. Differing songs including drastic changes in some B-sides, there is a possibility that not all members always agreed or wanted to focus on making that kind of music. And again, may be hard for some fans to follow,or choose Shounenki as 'their band' when you never know what you're going to get. Most creators with a business plan develop a base first.

After that, they are all young and you never know what is going to happen, we don't know the labels plans, what kind of pressure they were under, if the label can afford all their bands at the moment, if the members can afford it, if there was a strong leader in the band, or if they had differing personalities or some major issue arise, if all members can handle the not-so-easy task of writing songs in great number to meet a schedule, etc...

Anyway, just my speculation, don't know why I wrote this. Great band, hope to hear of a new group forming soon, they could have went places, if the vocalist especially forms a new group, he especially can go places, etc...

  4. I always heard about old people having heart attacks and stuff, so I always go out and shovel the snow for everyone on my street. I used to do this all day and ask for money when I was a kid but now I just do everyone on my block for free, since they are all old geezers.

If you just go out first thing in the morning and do it fast it is really a workout so I can see how old people have issues.

  5. To break it down:

    Rock vs. Pop

Rock made the most profit when culturally it became a part of Pop culture. This started to die off in the 80's but hair metal became a sensation. Hair metal was then killed off for the next wave of acts that were assimilated into the record industries more reliable formulaic machine for hits. Record labels like Mercury began purposefully killing off hair metal bands.

Eventually pop punk, grunge, nu metal and other genres were manipulated in the main stream to become represented by the producer controlled music making machine.

Why have a band completely in control of their music and writing what they want when they want? Would you not make a lot more money having an inner circle of producers who have mastered making hits, and creating the mainstream landscape of what a hit is?

Instead of investing in bands who may go any which direction, it is more lucrative to hire performers who will treat it as more of a job, and sing the songs written for them, dance to the choreography created for them, endorse the products your sponsors give to them, etc..

And if some kind of rock is popular, we'll study the trend with a focus group, then get the producer to hold their hand through a simple track, we'll get a director to come up with a topical video to get attention, the lyricist's will come up with a catchy provocative line that will be repeated until it gets into people's heads, then the people will repeat the lines and memes to advertise for us, for free. Wardrobe will get them something trendy, then we'll get PR to get some interviews, and create some kind of juicy scandal for the group.

Then we'll pay stations a lot of money to play us often, iTunes to feature us heavily, Youtube to recommend our video, etc...

Then we'll make a bunch of money, give a good chunk to execs, producers, lyricists, then pay off all the marketing, and other costs, and we'll throw a few bucks at the band. Oh wait, we 'advanced' the band all sorts of money when we paid for that new guitar, the gas in the tourbus, their catering, etc etc... Better cut down how much we gave them.

Then compare that to moderately successful VK bands filming a PV in the parking garage a thousand other bands played in, in some flame retardant outfit that 99 percent of people would not be caught dead wearing, and a bass player who looks better than most girls, playing a song in a low drop C tuning, over vocals still high pitched as hell, in a style of music that is no longer popular or never has been popular in the mainstream.

Then they take that PV, and include it as a bonus for the limited edition, cd only release not on iTunes, and not uploaded to Youtube unless somebody decides to do it against their wishes. And the majority of viewers are international viewers since Japanese have their own sites and ways of digesting media to choose from as well.

And they compete in the second biggest music market in the world, with a huge amount of other independent visual kei artists, many of them producing their own music, and not having doors opened to them, no big funding, and a lot of bands still survive somehow, and bands like Royz, Kiryu, etc.... enter the top ten of the charts repeatedly beating tons of major produced and marketed acts, despite being the antithesis of worldwide pop culture and trends.

Then you have bands like SID, and lots of older bands like X Japan, Luna Sea, Dir en grey, who have made more money than most pop artists, have been around longer than KPop was a 'thing', and will be referenced as long as there is VK.

But in terms of Youtube and worldwide presence, Korean Pop has a very large presence, has several connections to worldwide pop culture where it isn't such a huge step, they are just rapping and twerking in a different language. The Korean government has also heavily funded Korean media on the global stage, from the Korean Wave of film that had a regrettably short life, to KPop now. Japanese individuals and companies have actually complained about not representing Japanese workson the worldwide stage, I even remember Gackt talking about how they are failing to promote Japanese work outside of Japan. But at the same time, Japan has a much more insulated subcultural make-up, and is not AS rapidly molded and influenced by Global and especially American trends. So I definitely think certain cultural exports from Japan are hard to find an audience for, while some others, like anime, games, manga, JDM, etc... have been some of the most influential things in pop culture and subculture history.

Not sure if I answered the question or even tried to, but ah well.

  6. Show from A9 plays guitar during some songs.

Chisa from DIV plays '65 Jazzmaster (Beautiful guitar)

Takeru from SuG plays guitar during some songs.

Many play pianos, like Keiyuu from Kra.

    AKi plays bass.

    Miyavi.

    Hyde

    Hide

And other solo or side projects etc... Then there are member switches and collab projects.

Just off the top of my head.

Hard to be 'visual' and as active if you always have an instrument, also a lot of fan interaction and call response type stuff, and many bands are on the melodic side rather than rhythm based. Hard to play anything other than simple stuff while singing a tight song. Three piece bands also aren't as common in Visual Kei, which usually derive from different styles of music.

Most good vocal only frontmen from different areas of music use a style that would be lost if they always had to hold an instrument.

I can't imagine Kyo from deg, TMR, Mao, or Mick Jagger, etc... always holding a guitar.

  7. Thanks for all the comments!

I also use that GiTS quote btw.

Also Gazette I still haven`t spun as much as their older stuff, but just the fact that they got back into my ears with this release was a good feeling.

I think MuCC swung a little bit back into doing what old-timers (hehe) can enjoy some-what with some tunes on their last album and this mini. Although I am a feverish fan of all their stuff from Karma on myself.

I listen to the same bands all the time but some new acts entered into my endless loop this year which is good.

Also something I forgot to say:

Thanks to everyone who shows me new music, or new ways to look at bands or even individual songs. A lot of people have inspired me, and added things into my life. I really appreciate it, and I am sure some people noticed bands that I stole from them, and things they showed me over the year.

Anyway, enough of that sappy moment, 2016 is upon us, let`s rock!

  8. Great look into the colorful (live-limited) mind of Hiroki.

Resistar mix was really awesome, still want them to do another big one like BPR. This one was easier to get even if it wasn`t a `big`release.

Also I am presuming you got all those signatures, lucky!

Without VK I may never have imagined listening to vocals like some of these bands, I might not think that anyone could pull it off, but thankfully, I have been shown the light, and love it (even if I have trouble singing along).

Blitz you got me more into, but you showed me so much that I still need to play catch up, ah well, let`s see where the future will bring us!

  9. Really cool, I really love FALILV but didn`t get too listen to them too much this year, seems like I missed out.

I will be studying the second half of your list, don`t know too much there, and I have to admit I have taken a peek at your last.fm before and stolen some bands from you there that I really like.

Hopefully girugamesh will be killing it next year to make up for keeping us waiting again!

  10. Already loved the list when I saw my boy`s in SuG, but you just kept listing things I also love.

Gonna go out on a limb and expect to see SuG`s VIRGIN on your favorite list next year, I am looking forward to that the most right now.

Like the category set-up and the .gif`s. Also good to see other people enjoying FAR EAST DIZAIN.

Angelo I haven`t been keeping up with enough, will look into.

  11. Really like the list and thorough nature of it. Absolutely obliterates computer memory as well, hehe.

You really bring another side of VK to the table and represent it well. Lots of stuff that need more repping on this list.

Some random things I also really like are Inoran, and the X Japan song is still great, as well as other acts that have been around a while but are still making it work in 2015-2016, which is why I think in VK, anything is possible!

  12. I was really surprised that you enjoy so many similar things, didn`t know that.

Great, great list, I gotta try more of the Pelican.

I really love that SuG track too, hehe, the ending really pushes it to greatness for me, always love listening and waiting for that part, and then the start up of BLACK, oh man. Then just letting the album loop again, etc etc... For me one thing that really adds pleasure to listening to a release is the order of songs, like sometimes you can not like a song so much on a single or in a PV, but on an album it either starts up after an epic song, and the mood is made, or the ending leads into an epic tune, so you always listen to both songs together and it grows on you.

Really liked Baroque`s video performances of those songs too.

  13. HONORABLE MENTIONS:

I couldn`t fit everything into my main list, and I can`t fit everything here either but here are some:

BugLug (changed a lot but I still enjoy some), Chanty, Xaa Xaa, Clowd, Anfil, Plastic Tree, Arlequin, Dead Children, Deviloof (they look cool), Pentagon, Ronocro (R.I.P.), My Fairytail, Panorama Kyoko etc, Loud Grape, Liraizo, Unrealistic, The Mortal, Jupiter.

    Also, I didn`t include any live-limited.

    Favorite Vocalist: Takeru from SuG

Favorite Guitarist : Taizo from Kra (And favorite solo from雨に唄えば)

Favorite Bassist : Chiyu from SuG

    Favorite Drummer: Shinpei from SuG

Thanks for reading. Also big thanks to Yakihiko for bugging me (for months) to make this.

  14. ALBUM`S

    COOL!

    LOG-ログ- – Re:TRAGRAS-リトラグラス-

    BPRVD-181.jpg?v=1

A great, higher pitched release somewhat down the street from Blu-Billion.

    R指定少女喪失-syojosoushitsu-

    SDR-287C.jpg?v=1

A really deep and enjoyable album. I was surprised by this.

    The GazettE – DOGMA

    SRCL-8893.jpg?v=1

To me this was the comeback of Gazette I had been waiting for, they got back to a place where I could finally be excited to hear new things from them. A well thought-out album that feels like it was conceived as such, instead of being a compilation of songs or singles.

    CRAZY!

    AKi – ARISE, EPHEMERAL

    NEODAI-7449.jpg?v=1

    NEODAI-10443.jpg?v=1

He came out with a stripped down sound and youthful approach that some might not expect, and not everybody will enjoy. I personally loved it. Simple and fun.

FAR EAST DIZAIN – TONICK DIZAIN

    NEODAI-9831.jpg?v=1

This album definitely rocks. Some great lyrics, interesting guitar work that goes very low on the spectrum, and some rocking songs like The War Went On and Blank Space.

    Blu-BiLLioN – GENESIS

    RSCD-188.jpg?v=1

A great album by them. You really feel plugged in to what the vocalist is feeling.

    DIV – SECRET

    DCCL-175.jpg?v=1

Okay, I didn`t appreciate that there were barely any new songs, and no killer tracks like DIV is more than capable of, but I still have to admit it is a great album if you take a step back and look at it.

    コドモドラゴン下克上。

    BPRVD-176.jpg?v=2

A heavier release that does not contain as many catchy moments as their first album, but is still great altogether. It may be more of a grower than an instant turn-on. If you just let it play, you start to get the feel of it.

    SMOKIN` SICK STYLE!!!

    Develop One`s Faculties - reincarnation

    DOF-6.jpg?v=1

Definitely one of the break-through`s of the year. A resurgence of the classic `band-playing` feel, great vocals, and songs that leave a strong impression.

    vistlip – LAYOUT

    MJSA-1152.jpg?v=2

Great album with emotion and delivery. The feeling is one of a kind.

    Kra – 次の物語

    YZPS-10012.jpg?v=1

Their most cohesive release in a little while. Not quite as rocking as some would wish, but still great altogether. If you are a fan, it contains great moments, though leaves you wanting more (like more guitar!).

    BORN – LIVE THE STALIN

    live-the-stalin-cd-dvd-limited-edition-4

Possibly the most rocking release of the year for me, they absolutely kill it live, and you have to appreciate how he can still pull off his vast array of voicings in a hectic live show. If you really enjoy the head-banging element of BORN the live songs almost outperform their studio versions.

    BAROQUE – PLANETARY SECRET

    SFCD-155.jpg?v=1

A new direction that really left an impression on me. Swallow The Night is one of my favorite songs, and the awesome guitar always pops into my mind making me listen to it again and again.

    DOG inTheパラレルワールドオーケストラパラドッグス

    RSCD-174.jpg?v=1

They went in a different direction as well with this one, creating an album based on their past, present and future.

    ユナイ – UNiVERSE

    DCCL-188.jpg?v=1

The grower of the year for me. At first I was very disappointed by this, but after a long time, I started to appreciate it more, and can now see it as a great album. Hard to explain, but the band creates huge expectations, though this does definitely deliver once you get over the fact that not every song is wild ride through UNiTE-ville.

    SuG – BLACK

    PCCA-4157.jpg?v=3

For me this is the greatest release of the year, and one of the most well-made albums I have ever heard. I have always loved a deep tonic sound mastered to cover the full spectrum, creating a sonic environment that is rich in detail and a pleasure to sit back and listen to, examining the different parts. The song-writing is amazing, at times taking elements from their influences, and making them their own, and at times creating their own completely fresh sound. Every track is great, every member performs the best that they ever have, and everything is so different yet it all fits together into one amazing album that gets better with every listen.

  15. MINI-ALBUM`S

    MORRIGAN - ブラック・ルシアン

    tumblr_nwqiahsR6V1qlvugzo1_500.png

Very interesting, darker band. What I like most is the atmosphere they create.

    umbrella -キネマトグラフ

    DAKDCCA-58.jpg?v=1

Really loved the emotion coming from this single, the longing that was projected throughout.

    nue – mother

    SWNE-2.jpg?v=1

As I said before, nue really mixes it up and this release shows that. Very different tracks to explore, and a very melancholy sound.

My BACTERIA HEAT IsLAND – MIMIC

    68220150307002651.jpg

The youthful feeling I got from this band was something I really enjoyed. They had a different approach to their sound which was very interesting. All of their releases were great.

    ムック– T.R.E.N.D.Y. -Paradise from 1997-

    AICL-2896.jpg?v=1

Amazingly well made mini from them. Track after track has that now signature MuCC `different` feeling about it, and they pulled it all off very well. The tracks feel a lot less linear on this one, and it`s a pleasure to listen to.

    DIAWOLF – Rebellion, Turbulence

    DIAR-1.jpg?v=1

    DIAR-2.jpg?v=1

Really love them. Very experimental, without sounding like they are `just experimenting`. I already feel like they have such a deep and varied library after just two releases. A stand-out is definitely Show`s lyrics, which feel much more real and emotional than his other work in recent years.

    BORN –オルタナティヴ・タランチュラ

    DAKPSIS-50039.jpg?v=1

Their most complex release. They really went somewhere else with this one, while still being able to have some moments of classic heavy BORN. They did a lot of things I didn`t know they could, and have become one of the most exciting bands for me to hear new material from. Overall a very cohesive release with lots of greats moments in each track that I keep going back to.

  16. SID – 漂流

    KSCL-2641.jpg?v=2

Another great SID single, as expected.

    MEJIBRAY – 盈虧

    DAKWSG-62.jpg?v=3

They have really been mixing it up lately, some like it, some don`t. I really liked the dark and low-fi sound of this one.

    SMOKIN` SICK STYLE!!!

    DOG inTheパラレルワールドオーケストラ メテオライト

    RSCD-193.jpg?v=1

DOG played it somewhat safe this year after killing it last year. Another great single with slight play on their signature sound keeping it fresh.

    少年記 – WEAKNESS_MY BLOOD, ココロモンスター

    CCR-16.jpg?v=1

    DAKCCRB-11.jpg?v=1

One of the stand-out band`s in recent times. They have been following a formula yet still make everything sound fresh, and exciting. Again, great melodies, a pop element that doesn`t compromise their rock sound, and amazing work overall.

    ユナイト マーブル

    DCCL-179.jpg?v=1

The B-Sides really are what I love and long for the most from this band. One of the most killer tracks of the year from LiN, and great performances all around.

WING WORKS – RAVVE OF MY TRINITY

    DDCZ-2020.jpg?v=1

Title track is an absolute blast to listen to. This is the kind of energy that I can always appreciate. This single put him near the top of my watch-list.

    Royz – THE BEGINNING

    BPRVD-171.jpg?v=3

A bit of a different almost Codomo sound here for another solid Royz release bringing what I really like about them, attitude.

    己龍/Royz/コドモドラゴン - FAMILY PARTY

    BPRVD-183.jpg?v=2

A budget-buster, but absolutely worth it. Absolutely epic release with tons of great tracks and one of the funnest tracks of the year as its center-piece. Really shows how great the bands are and why they are taking over.

    Purple Stone -アオイヤミ

    DAKCCRB-13.jpg?v=1

My favorite release by them. It`s catchy and it rocks. Break The World is just too sweet.

    NOCTURNAL BLOODLUST - PROVIDENCE

    DAKNCBL-16.jpg?v=1

At their best with their great mix of Visual and Heavy elements creating something that is harsh and holds your attention throughout.

    ALSDEAD – INAZUMA

    DCCL-182.jpg?v=1

Perhaps the farewell by an amazing band that left behind quite a discography. One of the best storyteller`s in terms of lyrics, and a great band behind him, with another standout in guitar work.

    SuG – SICK`S,  teenAge dream/Luv it!!

    PCCA-4310.jpg?v=1

    PCCA-4243.jpg?v=2

Some of the deepest and well written singles. This band has been bringing it for a long time now. One of a kind for sure. Every track is different, but no matter the style or how many things they have going on, they just seem to `get it`.

    DIV - イケナイKISS

    DAKDCCSG-2.jpg?v=2

Mind-blowing single in terms of sound, approach, delivery, etc… I just have to put it at the top of my list for the feeling I get each time I listen to this single.

  17. Hello,

Here is my list of favorites for 2015, separated into format, then split into a new ranking system that expresses just how much I enjoyed the release. The releases are all listed in order descending down to my absolute favorites of the year. I hope that the list expresses my personal pleasure from the release, and does not seek to rate releases and artist`s against each other in a material way. Please note that I narrowed down the list, and that there are many other works which I enjoyed throughout the year as well.

    SINGLES:

    COOL!

    Smileberry – NO MORE CRY

    QFCV-20007.jpg?v=1

A new band filling in the drought of upbeat kawaii some have been feeling. They pull it off without sounding too derivative or forced.

    LEZARD –かくれん

    img_disco_jk_kakurenbo_tsujo.jpg

It took a little while to take to this band, but they have been growing on me with a fun lighter approach that can get more serious when needed.

    nue – サイレ

    siren.jpg

Definitely a band putting extra ingredients into their recipe. All sorts of sounds get mixed together from 90`s Visual, New Wave, etc… Pretty cool.

    摩天楼オペラ – ether

    KICM-1588.jpg?v=1

Has one of their more rocking B-Sides in a with an old-school guitar lick that I love to put on replay. Distinct track mix that is very well done.

    RUVISH – ATOMIC MIRROR

    BDBX-28B.jpg?v=1

Catchy and melodic, they have changed a bit but still put out some nice tracks.

    テキーラ東– Kung-Fu Lady

    YZPS-5020.jpg?v=1

A very original side project with a very different lead track, and the signature Kra huge potential that sadly doesn`t get as far as their skill would seem to deserve.

    Neverland – HumaNOISE, Heart sleep

Another band that has changed quite a bit, but I enjoy their different sounds.

    Milia∞ - innocence

    cover.jpg

Very nice, strong melodies, and a great atmosphere.

    CRAZY!

    R SHITEI –サドマゾ

    SDR-278B.jpg?v=1

Have been getting more and more into this band. Very popular despite being quite dark and heavy, although they do mix in softer moments unexpectedly, like in this single.

    Moran –夜明けを前に

    cover.jpg

Another great release, perhaps their final one.

    Blu-BiLLioN -  Refrain / 心灯-こころび-, Resonance-共鳴- / モノクロの花

This band has definitely been killing it and has gotten very popular. Not what I typically listen to but they definitely broke down that barrier and became one of my favorites with high-pitched songs containing vivid lyrics and storytelling.

UVERworld – I LOVE THE WORLD,  僕の言葉ではない これは僕達の言葉

    SRCL-8897.jpg?v=1

    SRCL-8801.jpg?v=1

Rocking singles that are a lot of fun to listen to. A slightly different sound than their previous work but they pull it off well.

  18. Again, awesome list brah.

Love that you took the time to do a big list with pictures and all. I really like pretty much everything on your list, my list shares some as well which you shall soon see, hehe.

And it`s in numerical order, right? So 1 is your favorite of all?

For me, the big surprises were the new challenger`s arriving with DiaWolf and Develop One`s Faculties. They create good, different music that has found many fans outside of a specific fanbase, I think they stand out as being a different style in your list, along with Moran.

Also BORN really stepped up and killed it this year, too awesome.

SCREW has some pretty cool tunes, I am not into them too much but they have some rocking songs like the one on your list.

GAGA I have not listened to too much, I will check them out some more.

BLACK GENE was also good, though they always change their style around.

    Anyway, thanks again for posting.

It`s a lot of work, but it`s nice to look over when you are all done, like your own personal yearbook, huh?

  19. Lulz, I have been pwned 3 times on my non-business e-mail: Adobe, MangaTraders (what the heck, never even traded manga), and Ashley Madison (don't judge me).

I see Snapchat in the list, lucky I didn't get pwned there too, or have my snaps intercepted... oh lawd.

Not even going to change my password, then I let the fearmongerers win. If people want to risk federal charges to see that there are new releases by my favorite VK artists, the endless spam from Ameba and Bookwalker, and age-old 'baby come back' e-mails from ex-gf's so be it.

Logging into your own e-mail is enough of a pain, who is going to log into 13 million of them and search for treasure.

  20. It is obvious that Youtube is fully ready to take advantage of their monopoly to start disregarding 'have-not's', squeezing as much revenue as possible and selling customers both the disease and the cure in an endless cycle until the next big change in entertainment mediums.

    Disease: Commercials

Cure: Pay for no ad's (only really useful on console or mobile since no adblock).

Disease: Can't minimize Youtube on mobile.

Cure: Now you can pay to minimize it (useful when you want to do something else on your phone while listening to music or speech not in your library, or have phone in your pocket and don't want random vids pocket played).

Disease: Can no longer watch most of the content you previously could.

Cure: Exciting news guys, that stuff that used to be free is now 9.99

    Etc...

Also saving vids is so easily done, I even had the option to do it via the app when I first got my phone? Seems like they really wanted some additions to throw into the Youtube Red pitch to make it seem like people are actually receiving some kind of added value or improvement in their experience by paying 9.99 for the same old crap.

I can almost taste how bad the new music recommendation system will be. It steadily gets worse and worse by trying to force certain artists on you, but it'll now be all about pushing their big artists and Youtube stars more than ever, so I'll be watching Mejibray or Dir en grey or something and Youtube will act like they really think the next video I really want to see is the latest booty song or Taylor Swift Behind the Scenes, or the Smosh Movie.

So yeah, they definitely changed the game in entertainment and did big things for changing how we access content and how people live, but let that get to their heads, losing the plot of providingan amazing amount.of content for free to anyone with web access. Now it's time to make some more cash grabs as they have no new vision or direction to take themselves that will actually serve the people.

  21. Too hard to choose, they are all awesome.

SID are one of the heroes of VK.

MuCC is legendary in their own right.

    girugamesh are too legit.

UNiTE comes out with some BEAUTIFUL tunes.

    DIV is awesome.

Kameleo I listen to the least, not as much my style, but they are real good at what they do.

All have good lives, SID and MuCC are the largest and most refined, girugamesh is the most amped, UNiTE has gotten better and better sounding, and make nice changes to their tunes, DIV has gotten way better in terms of their stage presence, Kameleo delivers what they do very well and the fans seem to love it.

Would love to see girugamesh do tunes like VANISH, ASTERIOS and KISS.

Danger Crue is the best, they always have something crazy going on, like the COMMUNE shows as well.

But let us not forget BPR`s latest shows with ROYZ, CODOMO and KIRYU, bringing in DOG (awww yeah) and ARLEQUIN (amazing live, check out their performance of 像). Also an epic line-up, would love to see all these shows.

  22. FUUUUUUUUARK!

I knew they were going to give them the SID push, but didn`t know it was going to be this hard this fast.

The song, the video, the car (estimating total boost in annual sales for that car to be 0, how did they even get it lol).

If they actually keep at it and pull it off, it would be amazing, no reason for a VK band to not try and play with the big boys in a way other than the horrible style (in my opinion) that PSC tried to do it with bands like ViViD and A9 (still liked a lot of the music by those bands though).

To me, the song is quite different from their previous work, but you still have the roots and history of DIV intact, and although things like the programming are more simple progressions, you still get the whole rock sound and Visual Kei element in the rest of the composition, as well as good lyrics ( I can`t understand them all to be honest, like usual his voice is super heavy with the deep exhaling but maybe I will pick it up sometime in the next 100 times I repeat the SPOT). Also most balling PV I have seen outside of SuG for a while.

I hope they keep up the quality and are able to make it big. If they keep going like this I can only love and respect them, especially since they can do it while still being a VK band, as opposed to others that act like VK is something to be ashamed of. They seem to actually have the balls to go for it in life.

Only big issue I have.... Like twenty seconds of silence in the beginning, have to wait so long for the song to restart, hehe.

    Anyway, talking too much:

    CLIFFS:

    Song is hot fire.

    Hope they make it.

    Will buy.

    Will keep repeating SPOT.

  23. It's a pleasure to be on board folks.

As my first order of business I would like to propose a dress code for the month of September to maintain a professional image. All employees should be outfitted in the style of the latest Lycaon look.

Also, I'm putting together a team to get Night Chat up and running again, I will keep you all updated.

    Thank you.
