1. Everything those old schoolers say is true. VK is in a period of stagnance run by money and looking cute to grab the tweens who want drag queens to drool over.
 
2. VK music was COMPLETELY different back then than what it is now. The music had diverse sounds rather than the same old shit being rehashed over and over. Visual Kei has become a conglomerate of pumping out over produced over done tacky bitches.
 
3. How are they being hypocritical? Their bands could never be easily compared to the sound of another. Now almost all VK bands are just overdone copypasta. And it's the TRUTH. You just don't want to accept it because you aren't mature enough yet to see it. But don't worry, you'll get there soon. We've all been in your position of haughty egoistic opinions. 
 
4. Calling them pricks and saying they should be spat on shows you are wildly immature and need to sit back and take a deep breath and actually THINK before you type. Especially when you are insulting the forefathers of your supposed loved genre of music. With out any of those "pricks" there wouldn't be VK. 
 
5. Anything Pierrot, Dir en Grey, Luna Sea, Kenzi did were all VASTLY different than the generic manufactured VK that is running rampant in the market today. Maybe I'll make an infographic that will show you the lines of descent between these bands and the new acts that are stinking up the place with their shoddy guitar riffs, clang-bang drumming, and cartoon styled vox.
 
666. Get some salve for that bruised ego of yours if you get upset over the opinions of others. You can't change them. And if ANYONE has a say on what VK has become it's definitely the people who laid down the ground work for what is here today.

Alright, this is not a fucking therapy session. Stay on topic, and with that I mean the discussion we had earlier (the influence of glam metal/rock in visual kei) or any other topic related to the statement "New VK vs. Old VK". Everyone's free to disagree and discuss there, as we like to promote healthy discussion. Whether or not blackdoll worships Lycaon, or if Miyuu has a degree in psychologic analysis is not relevant, so drop that for now. Irrelevant/trolling posts will from now on be deleted.

you're doing a good job assuming everything about lack of sales/having to work multiple jobs is unique for bijuaru kei
CD sales account for a very small number of overall monetary income in music ( http://www.bearshare.com/economic-of-music.html - good info on itunes sales value, btw)
if a VK musician has to work for 7-11, instead of composing music/doing sound work for TV/radio/advertising - so be it.
also, western musicians do not have the luxury of being employed at a host-clubs bc they r not kawai enough ^.^
 
I am not saying that surviving in vk is cheap and easy and there's no reason to be concerned with music piracy, but nokubura doesn't have enough merit to call people out, their music is below average even on the very small vk scene scale.

try getting paid gigs/having a sustainable career in performance art. this is not unique for music, and the only reason this happens is because bands allow being exploited.

These are some of my favorite sketches that I always keep around for motivation / inspiration. I don`t set out to draw anything anime / manga styled, but this is how I see things and how things come out when I just draw people. I have studied realistic styles, and anatomy when I was young, but now I like to play around and make things different, like different faces, wide shoulders, slim waists, etc... None of these are `finished` drawings, I just sketch for five minutes or less until I get the outline of what I want.
 
I have not drawn much in a while because I have many other things to do, hopefully posting these motivates me to get back to doing another thing I love.

As kind of a tangent, other laws or contracts have to be worded to ensure benefits don't discretely discriminate against non-heterosexual relationships. For example, my company has in its contract that people get both paternity and maternity leave if they have a child. It even has a line after that says something like "Or in the case of a same-sex relationship that chooses to adopt, you get _x_ amount of time to bond with your child." Obviously it's worded much better, but I was happy to see that they specifically stated a same-sex option.

No problems with it whatsoever. Damn homphobics keep making up reasons why two persons of the same gender can't marry. Pretty much what CAT5 said.

I haven't been shocked by a VK act or a horror movie since I was 12. Anyone who gets shocked about that kind of thing anymore is probably either a kid or a suburban mommy. I think once you pass a certain age you get more shocked by things in reality more so than some goth guy chortling in a puddle of blood.

Cool, it brings together different fanbases to gather potentially larger crowds and also gives bands exposure to slightly new audiences, IMO.
I liked BORN live too. Eurobrahs getting some cool shows.
