I do believe there was a thread for this quite a while back, but I figured it would be better to make a new thread for it altogether.
 
So this is the thread where you can talk about and post the visual kei album covers that you find incredibly tacky, ugly, amateuristic, etc. Some elaboration is always welcome.

Hey everyone,
I always wondered about the "road to budokan". Lemme explain:  what's the "order" of japanese livehouses that bands tend to follow on their road to sucess? Like, if the band X is doing a oneman on livehouse Y, which holds up to 6000 people, si it means that band X is looking good, and has a fairly good fanbase, and so on...
 
So, I thought it would be nice to have the most famous livehouses listed by size/importance. The thing is I don't know anything about them, so I'm here asking for a comprehensive guide on the topic, if possible! Thanks a lot!

Don't know about ''never'' since who knows, if I band I like just can't develop anymore, sticks at one place, or starts doing mediocre or even bad music, or they start hating the whole thing, it's better to move on. However, I will miss some bands:
1. Malice Mizer- I know, they couldn't keep that forever, neither they could switch vocalists till the end of the millenia, but there was something about that band (heck, three different bands, each with great sides to it) that was special.
2. 9GOATS BLACK OUT Took me ages to listen to them, but somehow they won me over...right before the announcement. One of the good bands, really.
3. Deadman. I will just go all ''Why-y-y?'' here-don't mind me, I'm in that phase when I listen to them on an hourly basis. 
4. Here I decided to share the spot with three bands: New sodmy- decent music, nothing grand, we knew it wouldn't last, but it was good. Lareine, though I am not a quintessential fan, I do think that at their time, they were decent, some songs even more than that. And Versailles- one of the first Japanese bands I heard, then I believed they were amazing, and a little part of me still does. (Hopefully they will gather up fresh ideas, and will cut that terrible decline of the past few releases during their ''indefinite hiatus'' and will come back)
5. Maybe I should put Rentrer en soi at the fifth place, since I don't know nothing of them as a band, but I like their music.

And I hesitated if I should write that, since it's not a band, nor it's about ''disbandment'' but out of them all, I miss the most hide. I wanted to hear what can he do more.

* I can swear that he sings wa and not ha, which changes the meaning of the sentence somewhat but I translated it according to the lyrics and not to what Danchou sung.
** The little warumono didn't sing what he wrote once again, and this time I can't even translate what he did write so I went with what I heard.
*** I think he means something along the lines of "don't lose hope by what you see around you" but it's not clear and requires personal interpretation I guess.
**** I may have the volume up loud but I'm not deaf. He clearly sings "iki" and not "kachi" although the lyrics say otherwise. Translated according to what I hear.
***** I can hear an extra "ga" in there that the lyrics don't have. Translating with that in there. Goddamnit Danchou stop being lazy and provide us with some correct lyrics >.> I hate it when artists do that.

** DESU means death the way it's written and then BO can be construed as a boa or a boar. Death Boa/Boar? It also has nothing to do with what the NoGoD crew are screaming since I can't make it out and I'm just gonna go with what I have here. I'm also going to throw out that Satan was a snake and the title does translate as hell butterfly (and their name is NoGoD)....
Then again...

So I haven't a fucking clue what it's supposed to mean but at least they tackle all religions, no matter how many deities there may be...
*** I was about to quit over this sentence. The kanji he uses for "mogaki" is 椀, which is slang for "flappers" (like from the 1920's) and then the word iki was written meaning "freshness/stet" but what does that have to do with anything in the sentence?I also seem to notice that Japanese tends to repeat verbs twice in some sentences, especially Danchou when he has to fill out the syllables so I went and combined two of them and then tried to make some sort of coherent sentence that fits, sounds "NoGoD-dy", and still uses half the words in the sentence. I used the flapper connotation as to the motion of his wings and the rest of the sentence just...evaporated on the Notepad page. If anyone can provide a better translation I'll gladly take it but that's the best I could really do for those two lines. Damn obsfucation of kanji....

In regards to the Galeyd guitar solos... This is why the band will probably disband... And they had potential, but I just didn't care for them. Galeyd is like Plastic Tree to me... Most songs sound the same and the vocalists grate on the nerves after a while.

Kinda late because I only got the chance to listen to it properly yesterday.
I tend to agree with Aoi. On the whole I found this single lacking imagination. I listened to it a couple of times and it failed to impress me. No complaints about the performance level but the songs are pretty boring and repetitive. I know they can do better than this.

And I was also annoyed by the drumming. Also hearing the live version made me feel like Dancho sings terribly live. It just wasn't the same voice as in the studio recording.  I know there may be various reasons for that but I hope he doesn't sing that badly all the time :<

Okay I am back! sorry that I haven't replied as soon as I should have. AND WOW TWO NEW PEOPLE ON HERE EH? and I think I will play guitar and do vocals as needed. I can do deep growls but for like... higher pitches I'm still working on that technique. .___. Also if you're curious....

This is what I know of Blue by crossfaith, however I was tuned to dropped c# here so I am playing it in a different key obviously, but if it was tuned to the proper tuning that would be the fingering. eh w/e

and for screams and stuff.... I guess listen to this song... I did the vocals all the way through this song including the deeper growls, however.... the other vocals they added in there by another guy ... they did that after I left the band and I don't particularly agree with it. but whatever. 8'D here it is anyway.

My beard has finally started to grow in, so I've been thinking about this lately...XD
I think I look weird without my mustache, so right now I keep a goatee and a neatly trimmed mustache. I doubt that I'll actually grow my beard out anytime soon...

This is ridiculous. Let the band relax and come up with some fresh ideas. I don't think the last 2 singles are bad but damn...too soon.

I suppose they are just going off what other's say about them, though I doubt when others say "huge dick" they're referring to the thing in their pants :v
