I feel the same way, for me the best Kamijo work will always be Lareine, it was very unique.

I absolutely love everything about Jpop and I don't like Kpop at all, so those arguments about being a rock fan and hating any forms of pop is a silly thing. Kpop is just bad, and that's it.

Angelo will hold an acoustic concert on June 7th through a platform called Zaiko, tickets are 1,800 yen and the page seems very friendly for overseas fans, I was able to buy my ticket without any issue, it has many payment methods, etc. I'm not sure how the quality will be, but we'll see, so far I'm glad this page is friendly and I didn't have to use any strange tricks to register my account xD nor struggle finding my country in the list (surprisingly this happens a lot to me in other pages..). I'm playing Tales of Berseria right now, I'm reaching the final part, been playing 80+ hours by now, what a great story, super fun combat system, great characters, this game is a masterpiece.

I would never leave any fandom just because there are "bad" people or something... First, the  "fandom" should be a lot more about the thing you enjoy/like rather than the other people who also like it. Plus, there's "bad" people everywhere, in any fandom, group, circle of people, as long as there is people, there will be people with whom you can make a connection, and others not, some good people, some not so much etc.
 
About Mejibray, I haven't listened too much from them, from what I've listened to, it sounded too basic and not very interesting, so I just moved over to the next bands xD  but I don't "hate" them, couldn't care less. xD

He does sound great in concert, I went to a couple of concerts from this tour (not this one though) but the ones at the beginning in smaller live houses, and I can confirm his voice is amazing during concert without the production help or whatever edition they do later.

I agree, this concert is a masterpiece, the sound and camerawork is perfect. ホログラム is very emotional as well, its performed beautifully.
Make sure to watch it and subscribe to their channel they have been doing a lot of activity in Youtube, Kirito is doing Youtube broadcast almost every week now on Saturdays, last saturday all the Angelo members were there.

They play very very tight and Kirito is surprisingly precise there. Special mention for " CRUELWORLD " , Kirito puts 2 x more emotion than the studio version. I love it.

I'm not exactly sure what people are sad about, there's plenty of good jrock music out there, vkei too, there are some decent bands, newer and older that still remains. In regards to Japan making things popular, as some people mentioned before, the Japanese artists are starting to take advantage of twitter, youtube, instagram, spotify, apple music etc. that is recent, I mean, even Arashi did history last month I think (or november) with the opening of all the SNS accounts, they even have a Netflix documentary with subtitles in all language. As Japan opens more to the new ways SNS works, the artists will have more reach to overseas audiences, big acts like Arashi will be the ones to create interest in global audiences to look at what Japan is doing.
 
Our generation back in the 90's were used to investigate/dig more, but young people nowadays do not investigate.. they just consume what's in front of them in the SNS, so it's important for Japan to follow that transition, even if it's a bit late. But the bands are still there doing good music, so we can just enjoy it while it exists the major income for bands is concerts, and all the active bands do a lot of touring around Japan, that is enough for have sufficient earnings and continue their music activities.
 
Also, Japan is the 2nd biggest music market, they really don't need the global market that much, so it's still a good thing to see what they are doing to penetrate SNS more, even when they don't need it.

The more I read everyone's comments, the more I understand why you guys can't never listen to Angelo properly, everyone is just bitter about Pierrot disband and can't move on and accept the fact that Angelo is a different band with different ideas, even if you insist on complaining, Pierrot is in the past now and it will not come back.  It's a very selfish way of thinking, Kirito and his bandmates are doing the music they want to convey now, and they deserve respect and for people to have proper listen to the material they are doing today. I guess the Japanese fans are more understanding because their concerts are always full and with great energy, and I don't see this whining when I go there.
 
About Angelo favorite album that someone asked previously,  it's difficult for me to choose between PSYCHE, RETINA, FAITH and CORD, these 4 albums are absolutely amazing, great balance, music and furthermore lyrics, Kirito's lyrics have gotten better and better, he's a more mature man now and we can see that in his lyrics, specially in PSYCHE that focuses on leaving the past behind and looking toward the future  (but American Pierrot fanboys will not bother to read these lyrics and will be in denial mostly)  XD   Don't get me wrong, I started as a PIERROT fan too, and I started listening to them around 1998-99, I've been in this for a while. But I don't like to live in the past, and I embrace the good things that the present have.
 
And I love the new song "A Monologue by Mephisto"  as others mentioned, there is a strong change when it transitions to the chorus, but that contrast sounds amazing, they do this very often, and the chorus gives that deep ethereal feeling that Kirito knows very well how to do ^^  there's a particular guitar sound in there I like very much, the voices harmonies give a rich sound too, and the drumming..!!  Takeo has gotten so good, he has become a master at those off beat rhythms, the guitar solo is very cool too, simple but nice just before the a capella part, great way to introduce to it, I can't wait to listen to this song in concert ^^

Whenever an extreme view/movement exists, the opposite extreme appears very soon. And this applies to everything, not just machismo and feminism.

I think there's also a time factor, in my case I only listen to Japanese music nowadays, any genre within Japanese music (pop, edm, rock, visual kei), newer western music has disappointed, and it's not like I have a lot of free time to listen more of it, i am busy with work and family,  therefore japanese music is that has proven to be the best for me, so I only listen to that and don't waste my time with music from other countries xD even if people hate me for that or think i'm close minded or whatever, that's their problem, i am happy the way i am and if the other people have a lot of free time to worry about what I listen or not listen to, then they should be very happy to have enough free time for that LOL.  Just to give an example.

I really love the Plastic Tree theater detective series with Ryutaro playing as "Akechi Ryutaro" where he converts into zombie detective xD so priceless.  Moon Child was also a great movie.

🙏Thank you for your kind words. Very true, the egos in that band, no wonder they had so many departures. Gackt has certainly been a lot more successful on his own and that's saying something.
