I still can’t access it, the website appears as unsafe across all the browsers I’ve tried so it won’t let me in.

Where are people getting it from that it will be a permanent shutdown? Because it won’t be. It’s not on MAL’s end by the way, the issue lies with DeNA who refuse to share an estimate maintenance period with the public. This basically stemmed from the new privacy laws and some platforms are taking a little longer to fix their problems with it.

Riku literally unfollowed everyone haha, but even before that a lot of people have been making all sorts of things up. And I’m not sure if they will. Kisaki said he won’t be forming a new band and that his main focus now lies on revival shows with Mirage and that he wouldn’t be doing any more session shows, which is however already thrown over now with this event with Riku. Although you can never be sure with him, I just don’t think he can let the music go. Riku also said chariots would be his final band.

This is purely speculation coming from begrudging Kisaki haters spanning over several decades now, I can’t recall one single comment coming from either of them claiming they hate or even dislike each other.

Bar Paradox will hold a special event on August 25th for its celebrative 15 years of existence. The main act of the event is a special unit consisting of Riku and Kisaki. I'm glad you liked it! One of the best animated series ever made, or scrap that; one of the best series in general ever made. It's incredible.

The last admirable release of the revival-scene must have been Grimoire by forCroiX-フォークロア- in 2016 — they release such a terrific album only to disappear right after? Pity. Nowadays I only somewhat keep up with Crucifixion and ラヴェーゼ (labaiser). The trend with these bands is to quickly vanish and it saddens me because I am generally not that interested in the current heading of the Visual kei scene. I may be hopeful and see Mirage's semi-revival spark up some fireworks with the younger musicians, like it or not but they are still incredibly important and looked up to.

That new Marduk song is literally one riff over two minutes? Must be the most boring track released this year.

Go back a year and there I found myself in a similar situation. Our town isn’t necessarily big, but not the kind where you know everyone either and the people that I knew weren’t quite the ones with similar interests and friendships therefore waned rather rapidly. Until not so long ago I didn’t have friends around but I started hanging out with the same people more regularly and it wasn’t something I was seeking for at the moment. I met them during concerts in my area and things clicked quite smoothly all of a sudden. Before this I spent most of my time in solitude – during some moments I was desperately looking for connections and relationships but once I gave up that search, things started to come along more naturally because it didn’t feel forced. I enjoy my time alone but it’s definitely nice to not be alone anymore when I need or want someone around. As is said above, you could try and join a club or attend activities where you’ll meet people with similar interests (for me that’s in metal concerts). Don’t be scared to go alone either, there’s nothing weird about attending a venue, club or bar (whatever is your fancy) alone, it’s quite easy to speak up to people when you have that universal hobby or artists you’re waiting to see.

Well, it’s somewhat of a popular principle to hate X Japan on here, regardless of what they do. I still have to see the performance, but I am sure I’ll love it!
