Mejibray has the crown now with their off brand deathmetal have no idea why he didnt use his pig and gutturals though

Baby crossing can also be mentioned,

    Spoiler

Although I wouldn't label 欲槽 or any of Mejibray's songs "death metal"  but Genki/whatever he went by in Mejibray is definitely one of the best at utilizing death vocals and pig squeals and strange guttural. At times they could seem like one of the most brutal but at other times weaker than an anorexic body builder. As far as bands with larger discographies go they were relatively heavy but not enough to warrant calling them more brutal than say Xodiack or Re:dis or even SINCE1889. But if they put more effort into the heavy  side of their sound then maybe. But as far as what they gave us... no absolutely not getting the crown in my book. And QEDDESHET songs including their two latest ones, are far heavier than anything Mejibray ever released imho.

I think this makes a lot of sense and should be taken into consideration for next trade-offs. Since most barely manage to meet the current deadlines, just extend it to the usual amount of time it takes for people to actually get them in. If even with that change they still are late then there's really no excuse.

Will you be hosting? If so and we use @The Bread Wolf's idea then I may just sign up this time.

I'm not a fan and really don't care but it doesn't sound that unfair to me honestly.

If it's only 4,000 seats they won't be able to pay off the usual fee the band members get for a show, so regular ticket prices  wouldn't make it profitable enough for their standards I suppose.

And how does them doing this because they want to make bank make this fair? lol

That prices just converted to $285-$470, sans tax I suppose? And honestly it isn't that much, especially they are kind of that legend act there. I don't see what's wrong with that honestly.

Many nostalgia acts in the West just cost as much or even more, much more, when they did their nostalgia tours regionally. Nobody mind.

As musicians, tours and merchandise are still their main income, so just about time Japanese bands keep up with that pricing standard.

Lmao you're forgetting a few important factors 1 they haven't been on some kind of long standing hiatus or something which is the case with many western bands who did similar things. 2 Those same western bands would charge less if it were a smaller venue and only charge in the upward 300s for larger venues. 3 Very often when western bands do tours of this sort they still offer tickets at a lower cost for seats that aren't as close to the stage and not just 2 set prices. 4 also they've been promising a new album for years now which makes the whole concept of performing old ass songs for no reason even more ridiculous.

Sorry guys but this is just another shameless cash grab. And to echo @Tokagethey are most definitely ruining their legacy in fact I really don't know if it could get any worse at this point, especially after the "We are X" sound track, good god!

Give them a couple of weeks to make their mix and a month to review them. That would set the expectations where they should be, no? If one person gets their review earlier, hooray for them and party on, yeah? But if they don't, then it's not a loss or a breach in rules. I always say keep low standards and be happily surprised when they're exceeded.

    I like this idea a lot. I approve 👍

With the kind of systems where you'll just pat on the head someone who misses the deadline, you're effectively punishing the ones who keep their schedule in check, which seem to be the thing Mamo and suji are pointing out.

Yeah that's how I feel actually and I'm glad you said this because I'm not sure if I did a good explaining. lol

I don't get the necessity of the two types for this single tho

Surely their must be some catch. Maybe each type sounds slightly different or maybe has different lyrics? :oro:

Or maybe their pulling a golden bomber and just want people to buy every type just for the alternative cover art. lol

Better than Yanyayan Night〜Odoro yo XX〜 (やんややんやNight〜踊ろよXX〜)'s 47 types of all the same songs I guess. lol

I hope that's not the case though.

As someone who has both hosted and participated in the majority of the trade-offs here, I think that's a bit of an overstatement.  There definitely is an issue with certain users not submitting reviews, but I'd argue that those users exist within an extreme minority and are the exception, not the norm. The majority of participants usually do submit their reviews, even if they're late. For the small percentage of users that don't follow through, we've enacted a blacklist (though I admit that we need to be stricter about enforcing that).

I agree that's why I said, "in some cases" when I was referring to people who don't send them in. I was more talking about the issue of tardiness.

Using the current anime trade-off as an example is not a good idea. I specifically altered the rules for this trade-off, making things much more involved than they usually are.  So I went into this expecting that many users would not make the deadlines. And it's ok if they're late, as long as they follow through within a reasonable time frame. Furthermore, you can't use the dates like that either because there are specific variables that have not been taken into account. For instance, the review deadline was the 25th, but the deadline for sending out mixes was on the 18th - which is only one week apart. Some users did not send out their mixes until after the 18th, so the members that received their mix late had even less than a week to write their review (if they wanted to fulfill the technical deadline). So when you take those factors into account, you realize that no one has had a month to write their review, because they haven't even had their mix that long.

Yeah true I guess the current trade-off isn't a great example lol

Indeed, life is busy for most of us, so we do try to give a bit of leeway with these things. Because at the end of the day, this is just for fun - it shouldn't be a chore. However, you are absolutely correct to say that people should know what to expect when they sign up for these trade-offs. If you can't fulfill the commitments, then don't sign up.

I'd very much like to sign up for the next one but yeah even though the risk is low I don't want to be left without my mix getting a review. TBH I don't even want to deal with someone being a week plus late either, although in this current trade-off's case I would understand after you explaining it to me. But really I would love to participate because I have many bands in my library (non-visual kei) that have never been featured in a trade-off at least as far as I know.

  7. I've been following the trade-offs for quite some time but honestly I think it's pretty obvious that we don't need to have them more often, let me explain why.

Let me start by saying that I've never participated but I have observed and for me personally the reason I never sign up is because most people are usually extremely late on their reviews or don't send them in at all in some cases. Take the current anime ost trade-off for example, everyone had until Feb. 25th and  now it's Mar. 6th 9 days later and still many people haven't written their reviews.

It seems many people like creating mixes but not so much reviewing them. And yes I get that life happens and stuff but imo an entire month still should be enough time and if not and you know that your prone to life events interfering or if your usually busy, then I don't think you should sign up in the first place.

If this wasn't such a common occurrence then I wouldn't care as much but this is litterally every trade-off. I don't want to risk creating a mix and writing a review only not to have my mix reviewed in return.

    1. yeah because that's an opinion your stuck on and im not repeating myself
    2. thats what you call putting money up. So now it's diru's disco sounds like deathtopia or atleast all of Uroboros hard songs. That's not an explanation of copying hunny. That's like a hypothetical
    3. wait, you are talking about the live video? I cleary replied to it, like it was you with deathtopia. :tw_joy::tw_joy:
    4. i clearly said deathopia or "what about" acknowledging ur evidence on that 1 song i never fully listened too.
    5. either i'm brushing it off or acknowledging. chose one. Don't forget i mentioned starring shitty ass too. And since you bring albums don't forget you the black diamonds in their aka gangster's prototype.

    3. No actually it wasn't posted with deathtopia and you didn't reply to it.  In fact you've still yet to acknowledge this video I guess because it hurts your "MAO ISN'T A KYO FAN GIRL" argument LMAO. Here's everything you said after "Sadie - Demon's Cradle / Sadie Forever and ever FINAL LIVE " video where he was copying Kyo. Now show me exactly where you replied to this video:

but you def brought up deathtopia tho. And well those are the songs that matter. But typical cult fan, cant put the money where the mouth is. But you had the time to claim plagrism though.

please dont project. The hair is different, the outfit is different, the mask (the piece of the look your reaching for) is different as well. Can you not tell different from a ripped stocking cap, and a ripped shirt with two layers (black and silver). bad eyes a brain that didn't notice that isnt a laughing matter, i hope you are not driving.

for there to be similarities there must be differences. Good for you.

Pain after Pain was example of what people call mao coping kyo, and since i linked mr brave man i thought that was clear that it was just a example of one his vocals.

but continue to skip post and stuff

But you don't post the original look to compare and CONTRAST it too

ewwwwww it looks like they're following EMS.

I'm done. I'm going back to listening to mainly listen Screw and Mejibray anyway with paradeis. okay, baby go for it, and bleach's voice of pain and Oburu sakana or also in spin. No need to report me and have the mods give me another warning

    5. I didn't forget lol I just don't care and I'm not willing to take the time to. But thanks for confirming that you're acknowledging that Madrigal de Maria sounds like Uroboros/Dum Spiro Spero. Which in case you didn't realize means "wtf are you arguing for then?" I said Sadie sounded like DEG later in their career and even if you say it's only in MDM that still means that I was right and later in their career they sounded like DEG. I mean they started in 2005 and MDM came out in 2013 and they went on hiatus in 2015 that would be consider "later in their career" right?

Like honestly I'm done now you're doing a good enough job embarrassing yourself without me lol

Ooooo good one. Clap clap I like how you only addressed everything I said with :tw_sleeping::roll: good argument.

I did "put my money where my mouth was" I told you in my first response to you that  deathtopia sounded "like every br00tal song on Uroboros" and what I mean by that is it's such a generic copy and paste song that it could litterally fit anywhere  on Uroboros, I mean I bet I could falsely upload it as a DEG song and no one would ever even notice lol

Also once again you ignore the video of Mao posted above yet again. LMAO

Also you ignore DOUKOKU which I did post with Glass Skin which it sounds identical too btw

And you keep trying to just brush aside Madrigal de Maria and only mention the two songs from that album that you think are unique Viper and Jealousy. So I guess that means you are acknowledging that every other song on MDM sounds like Uroboros/Dum Spiro Spero?
