Still listening to their Oboreru Sakana cover fairly regularly, the guitar work is just so incredible especially towards the end of the song, it just feels so satisfying. Aie's a great guitarist but I think he's at his best when he has someone inspiring/pushing him, and Kazuma is doing a great job at this which is probably why this project is just that level above Keel even though Ryo's a better vocalist.

100%  But I am so ready for something new from them, hopefully in 2018.

  2. First they announced a new single argentum for later this month on the 30th. And now they announce 4 new singles?! Confirmed I will only be spending my money on FIXER releases and domestic shipping costs😂😂

  4. I hope "NEW ERA" is a step into an new era for them because I definitely want them to step away from something as shitty as BLACK PIG. Everything else was brilliant though so I'm anticipating good things. I'd like to see them remake BLACK PIG with Naoki actually drumming, then maybe it could be half decent.

  5. Thanks that was big task transcribing all of this!

Actually thank yo for all of the lyrics  you've been sharing lately. I remember when I first got into vk back in 2008 lyrics for indie and more underground vk bands were nearly non-existent and only a few fans were willing to/knowledgeable enough to transcribe lyrics. And rarely did you see Kanji/Romaji/English tbh you usually only got one of the 3 lol But I digress THANK YOU SO MUCH!

  6. Also I actually think they sound fuckin' awesome live! Hopefully Danger Crue 9th will try to put them onto Wacken Open Air or something similar in the future because they could definitely have an audience there and they did get girugamesh there before and they never were anywhere near as heavy as Deviloof even at their heaviest.  Working with Яyo could offer a lot of advantages and one of those advantages so far has been production quality which was actually really high. I have high hopes for Deviloof, I've been saying that since they signed with Danger Crue 9th but I it was confirmed with 開花(Kaika).

Regardless of whether they continue to get hate or not they have improved vastly and I honestly think they've proven themselves now with this latest release. I think they can even be popular among a western audience with just a little more exposure, Wacken would definitely be a good starting point. They also would do well to put their music on Spotify because a lot of European metal heads would love Deviloof's sound and maybe even American metal heads(although less likely I can tell you from MANY experiences). This band has the potiential to appeal to an actual heavy metal audience and not just a Visual kei market. But all of this I suppose would all be up to their management, label, or whoever decides these things for them lol. I would do a European Tour with Deviloof and Jiluka and toss a Wacken date in there somewhere. lol

All of this is unlikely but I guarantee you if attempted would actually be possible but let's see if the label or Яyo, or even Deviloof themselves would ever even think to go that direction. *sigh* would be nice though. #hire_me_deviloof

  7. Deviloof's  開花 is my favorite release by them now it looks like signing with Danger Crue 9th Records and teaming up with Яyo Trackmaker (aka Яyo ex. girugamesh) as a producer was genius even though it wasn't really reflected in Devil's Proof as much, it seems with 開花 they worked out the kinks and have created some very legit brutal and fantastic quality music. Easily their best release and 10/10 on the new songs.

Could anyone maybe hmu with the best debut mini albums released in the past 5 years?

I need to catch up :D

I can recommend a couple RED INVISIBLE by RAZOR(ex. Vocalist of BORN) and ESPADA by ORCALADE(ex. Vocalist of EAT YOU ALIVE).

I only assumed you were talking about Visual kei bands since you said mini-album because that's a term only used in vk. If you'd like non-vk recommendations just let me know.

Are they really on top-billing status with SW? that's awesome at least they know what they have! lol

Yeah FIXER and THE SOUND BEE HD are probably the 2 biggest. FIXER is already based out of Tokyo plus they did that Oneman tour last year.

FIXER organized a FREE-Oneman tour entitled "dual emotions 【ARBITER】 "

There was a total of 5 FREE dates which will be held in 5 different cities presents by each member + 1 final concert (which would cost money)
"FIXER's" live distributed cd "大好き(daisuki)" was distributed at their Oneman Tour Final in exchange for a half ticket stub from 1 of the 5 biggest city one-man tour "dual emotions 【ARBITER】".

    1) 11/01/2017 at Ebisu Club Aim
    2) 11/06/2017 at Sendai Space Zero
    3) 11/07/2017 at Niigata Club Riverst
    4) 11/13/2017 at Nagoya Holiday Next
    5) 11/14/2017 at Shinsaibashi Bigtwin Diner SHOVEL
    +
    6) 12/04/2017 at Shibuya REX (pre-order : 3000 ¥ / Door : 3500 ¥)

Yeah for a Starwave band I think they have a decent amount of popularity, especially among Starwave Records fans.

Damn, every song sounds absolutely amazing.

And as much shit as I gave Korey, his shoes will be somewhat tough to fill...oh what am I saying, they just need some Cubase/Pro Tools drum-programming lessons and they are set.

Lmao. On a serious note though, they're one of Starwave's biggest bands, I think Kiwamu isn't ready to let them disband just yet. Who knows who the new drummer will be though, it wouldn't really surprise me if they did just use a drum program because they already like to use electronic effects so it wouldn't be that big of a stretch. Plus like you said Korey wasn't  the greatest drummer. Mediocre at best.

Also yes I'm really looking forward to argentum. Although I like all of their recent cds so not really surprising lol
