It all makes sense now. Big Bass has been encouraging Kyo to break out into the hip-hop scene.

It's 11pm in Japan. Within about 14 hours I think it will start hitting digital platforms. Probably in the latter half of those 14 hours.

1 week until "The perfect hell", everyone.
I've been really enjoying seeing everyone get excited about this new album. It's great when DEG releases new work, because we get the trolls, and the die hard fans pooling together.
I'm definitely looking forward to hearing "Keibetsu" and "Aka" as whole tunes.
Anyone else looking forward to any specific tracks??

I actually really like that version of The Final. I do agree that most of those remixes are garbage though. Like that awful Inconvenient Ideal organ remix that butchers one of their most beautiful songs.

It’s kind of funny because very few people really seemed to be excited until recently. Maybe no samples was the way to go.

I'm looking forward to Aka (that chorus is beautiful)
Not really excited about heavy songs and it looks like the album will be mostly heavy.

I'm still firmly in the "the mouse clicks are part of the song" camp. The Insulated World is the Internet and the concept of the album is that we're surfing through a web of pain and suffering with Deg.

We grew up on Batsu together dawg, what are opinions again?
I was half kidding though. I do agree with the sentiment around that album and to be honest when i first listened to Withering to Death and previous works, which was shortly after discovering TMOAB, I barely went back to it. I only really listen to certain live versions of the songs.
As for DSS, I understood the consensus was that it was a great album, (that didn't sell well) and just translated poorly live due to how overlayered the studio versions were.

Yo Ro.
I think everyone is allowed to have
an opinion.
If people dig TMOAB, cool. And yeah those songs do rip live. But its definitely not my kinda cup o' tea...and some songs are ostensibly weaker than others.
But yeah. I'll throw high fives instead of hands.

Ey yo fuck all y'all who have an issue with Marrow.
That album aged so well and is killer live.
My location is on if y'all wanna throw hands.

EzraEroguro reacted to Manji 卍 in Dir en grey
i think the whole cover was very creative, both vocals and instrumentals
he chose to keep his own singing style instead of trying to sound as Kyo as possible
is not a perfect thing, but still pretty interesting.check his band.

EzraEroguro reacted to Saishu in Dir en grey
Kisou and Marrow are both raw, sound like they were recorded in tin cans, and have some of Kyo’s most vulgar lyrics. Yeah, Marrow is mostly expletives, but Kisou has weird sexual shit sprinkled around.
I’d also argue that Marrow isn’t that focused on one sound. None of the ballads jive with the rest of the album. And... fuck the re-recorded Clever Sleazoid. Just because.

Off Topic, but how did they get away with The Marrow of A Bone? Holy shit, this album is a fucking mess. Some songs are solid but, a good third of the album is like..."why?"
Don't get me started on all of the English lyrics either.

Quite possibly the second of the two strangest albums in DEG’s catalog (the other being Kisou). That’s what happens when you write songs while touring with shitty western metalcore bands.
Songwriting aside, what is up with Kyo’s harsh vocals? He is literally just screaming at the top of his lungs. Why is every other word “FUCK”? Why does the mix sound like there are no mids?
Its a lot like Kisou actually.
