Hi! I'm leaving the forum as well.
 
Thought about leaving quietly -- and I did --, but the message @Peace Heavy mk II posted made me think otherwise. Sure there's quite a few people here that will celebrate not having to deal with me anymore and that's fine! But I'd rather focus on the fact that I've been here for 13 years and that leaving a goodbye note feels appropriate.
 
I joined the forums when I was 16, only knowing much about VK, and I leave at 29, not knowing much about the current state of VK but knowing just enough about life and my personal boundaries to make me comfortable enough to realize I don't feel at home here anymore. And I used to feel like that for years and it sucks that this feeling has gone, but I suppose that was bound to change eventually -- and that's cool! Things change and end all the time.
 
Anyway, I'm grateful for the few friends I made here throughout the years (y'all know who you are!) and for the countless downloads I leeched along the way. It was a good and entertaining ride for the most part. If any of you would like to stay in touch, I'm over at Twitter at @reomulus. See ya.

D is a bad band name because when I want to shit on their Return To Worldland nonsense album I can't even sensor their name like "V*rs**lles" ...it'd just be "*"

@saishuu Sure enough this is one of the more bearable tracks on the last album for me too... I'm still waiting for a new full-length where I can enjoy most of the songs, I haven't given up hope yet, lol (as of now if I compiled the songs I like from the post-reunion material they would juuuust fill out a decent album).

@Komorebi was there a platform you didn't post this story? also i'm sorry i mistakenly thought you were older, and i'm not white, i'm white-passing metis. and in this retelling of the story you forgot to mention it was a poc mexican who called you out for saying "w*tback", not me, i just had the audacity to bring up the fact you never apologized to her for it. i want to move past this drama but considering you wallpapered this on every social media site while telling me not to harass you and crying because i didn't contact you directly when my private messages are wiiiide open....

SLOTHREAT is gonna release their first full-length album, called "THEMIS", this September. Thanks to @sleepy coffee for the info!

Shinya has joined the band as their official drummer. (Was a drummer for some tokyo deathcore band called inception of genocide but otherwise cant find anything else on him besides him being slothreat support drummer for the past year or so)
Full length album will be release this september.

I have to admit that I'm also not that fond of their post-reunion releases (Even though there are many treasures like Lost World, Yamibi, Rouge, etc..)
Their music got kinda slow and not that over-creative as before but it is nevertheless still on a high level.
 
But what I really love about this band is that they never forget/ban an era of them. They try to give every album a spotlight in their liveshows and blend the new songs perfectly in that. Heck they even play some obscure demo songs as their Lunacy alter ego (And Ryuichi still pulls that SEARCH FOR REASON scream like 30 years ago).
 
So they never bomb us with their new songs but expand their perfect back cataloge with them and I think that is the best what they can do in this state of the band.

Everybody: vk isn't a genre, it doesn't have a "sound"

I'm a stutterer, if that counts. Most of my family from my father's side has it, and I got unlucky in the hereditary process I guess. I started to develop it when I was 6, and it's been bothering and making my life a little bit more challenging since then. I'm 24 now and dealing with it hasn't got much easier.
